- I have always wanted a dakar rally truck ( • Kamaz T4 Dakar Truck C... ) and the gk24 frame can be expanded out to be very very long. this episode is about building the frame with electronics later and then on to designing and 3d printing the body. this will be a model grade project over the next couple of months
Dakar rally trucks are designed to go fast over bad terrain and sand dunes while racing and providing spares
Best bit about this fame was the quality of the construction and the speed of assembly, a full build can be completed in 2hrs

Thanks for sharing, there are just so many options anymore, and you are absolutely right... the 1/24 scale is kind of all over. Well, a lot blends between 1/20-1/32, depending on who makes things, etc etc.
In my project... It is more a matter of finding a chassis to suite the body I have. So many were too narrow, too short, or had quirks I didn't like. I just dropped an order for the long wheel base version, 21mm wheels/tyres, and a few upgrades. I need about 133mm wb for my project, so this should suffice. I wish the rear pumpkin was centred... But if I ever wanted 4 wheel steering, that little aspect would play to favour. Now... Just have to wait for the goods to come in the post!

I'm still thinking of getting one of these chassis, but not just now, still waiting.....also next week will be getting a new Orlandoo X01 :D
I like a larger scale than the orlandoos though i do want to complete my jeep as that just looks cute. the issue i have had with them is tightening a screw and the heads poping off which blew my mind
its just about finding the right body, this kit makes it so simple to turn anything into a great performing 4WD that its worth hunting down a good body for it. i suspect as a Unimog this would be an great car
@@BlitzWorks I've suffered that too, still a great little platform though regardless.
But the smaller they are the more limited they get I suppose. Kinda why I'd like that 1/24 to hurry up and be released. Still tempted to get the geko chassis in the future though......when I get around to saving enough xD
@@foxracerdrew Ha i wish you would tell me more details about that 1:24 though from what i have been able to find it looks like how MST takes thier photos based on what you have sent me in the past.
one thing i love about this chassis is how free the drive train is, you see me bashing it back and froward and the chassis continuing on much softer motor braking that everything else on the market which for this project is perfect. i don't need remote lockout on this but i would love to rebuild the hummer (and in fact picked up a blue body)
its little things like that that make this great and i cant wait to see if the frame you are talking about is the same
to drop some hints about what may be coming for this chassis: active suspension to raise/lower the ride height and change the suspension while driving as well as possibly dual N30's for more torque. it will have at least on N30 rater than N20's but i want to play with the idea of overdriving the front for stability and crawling and perhaps adapt the hummer if this proves to be useful
so far i have estimated i will need all 8 channels i can feed this once i add in the light system

A snorkel would look good on the hood & could help break up the color
@@BMR3 good point on the snorkal, the AMG was pure luck was browsing the HRC sie and saw it when i was ordering the GLD. was actually looking for a drift truck body
Blitz Works lol I’m noticing the micro RC distributors don’t play fair, there are definitely favorites & it’s kind of a shame. That or Hong Kong/China don’t care about release dates & just sells ASAP 😹
Blitz Works drift truck, like the lexan bodies or the scale semi trucks?? I want one of the scale semi trucks lol it would look so good sliding around
