Hi Jason, i remember you previous project! You're lucky connecting the work and passion together. I keep my fingers crossed for the immense success of new "Combat Pilot".
OMG! I just took the virtual tour of the USS Enterprise, Amazing! I'll be buying for sure and no waiting until a sale to support your efforts with keeping this genre alive - thank you!
Great. I am looking forward to see your work progress and released. Love the B17. It is one of my favorites aircraft and I have some time on one as a crew member. Looking forward to seeing your release
I Love that you have all those PC games behind you. I have every one of those flight sim games and their boxes as well. The fact that you have those games in your inventory gives me hope that Combat Pilot will have that great legacy feel to it as those titles have. I like pre made missions , I hope this would be something Combat Pilot modules would include.
D3A, B5N and G4M are the planes I am craving for. Chance to have the G4M on Solomon‘s? Would be a dream once sitting in these planes in my VR Google’s 😍
Excellent news Jason! 🎉 It’s a breath of fresh air to receive clear communication on future plans and intentions! I wish you and your team success on this endeavor! Looking forward to following the developments.
excited to see where this project goes! while im excited, i'm still cautious and will wait to see more before i decide to support it fully. i've been wishing for a new modern WWII flight sim for a long time now, and especially one that covers the pacific. hoping the devs can create something really special that will garner lots of interest from the flight sim community
Man this really could be something. As soon as VR is available I will give it a try. The real question for me at the moment is, to what depth can we control the planes.
Why didn’t you start with the Doolittle raid, and the battle of coral sea. The reason why the battle at midway was so successful was because of these 2 events. Just asking
@ I like the realistic simulations but I’m still new at it. The learning curve is quite STEEP lol it’s taking me a lot longer to learn to fly than I anticipated. It’s quite rewarding though when you have an achievement. Having said that. I have fond memories of harrowing moments in IL2. Right now my biggest challenge is Navigation. I’m having trouble with it. I have the Debden Campaign but I’m not flying it until I master navigation. Any suggestions on the subject would be appreciated Thanks
I think you have cornered the market with the WWII Pacific Theater, which just happens to be my area of combat flight simulation. I’m looking at the veteran level at Patreon. Don’t rush, but please hurry up ⬆️ I need an guesstimation drop date! This will give me a goal dat to have everything I want have when this finally drops.
Braking it up into parts is not a bad Idea. As Enigma pointed out in his latest post. Lot of us in DCS are manly procedure sim junkies. Combat is fine but its the nuts and bolts of flight and navigation that we love. Let me take off from ship and plot out my flight. adjusting for wind and return to ship. hoping I estimated its location or get panicked when I fail to see it.
Its not clear to me, it sounds like with the Patreon you will eventually get access to some of the preview builds. However once the game fully releases, we will need to purchase it at price then? The game is a ways out in terms of development from what I understand, does the Patreon contribution not count towards a copy?
The Ace tier Patreon is only for our most hardcore supporters who like playing with super early, buggy and incomplete stuff and who really want to help fund some of the development. It's not meant for everyone. But you never know what we'll do for those that go the extra mile for us.
I remember back in the early days there was a game called Combat Pilot where you flew an f16 and had to bomb other airfields, while the AI was flying and bombing your stuff. It was a fun game.
Everything looks and sounds great. I know it's early in development but the part where you lost me in was hinting that VR will come later. I guess I'll have to wait to join later 😢
VR will happen just as soon as we know it will run effectively. We have may optimizations to make before that can happen. If we give you VR and performance sucks, you will be upset.
This sim is beginning to look absolutely fantastic, I wish you and your team all the success in the world. I know this is a bit of a weird question, but I am a collector of flight sim games for many years, esp WW2, and I am very intrigued about the game box on your shelf behind you with the large British red, white, blue and yellow roundel on it. If you (or any reader) could tell me what that game is, be very much appreciated, thanks.
Oh that gem was the UK Collector's Edition of Cliffs of Dover. Someone was kind enough to send it to me on release. However, it released as a broken mess, but it's been greatly improved over many years by Team Fusion. Long story.
@combatpilotsim Thanks! I have most things IL2 inc. CoD but had never seen that box art before. Appreciate the response and looking forward to seeing CP finally take wings (pun intended :)
Since the _IL2 Forgotten battles_ days I've always dreamed of a flight combat sim that lets you properly fly the B-17. Other ww2 flight sims tend to neglect the bomber aspect(because they think there's a lack of interest from players and not worth it or whatever) so I'm really excited this one is taking it seriously. I'll be getting that B-17 module for sure.
No VR will be no buy for me, so hope that is a priority. Realistically ED will release the F-6F and WW2 carrier ops before this product is realized. If so that will hit a pretty big part of this market.
I'm guessing the B-17 shown has come from what's being developed by the Team Fusion - Cliffs of Dover team for their next expansion - which I believe centers around the August 1942 air battle over Dieppe, France
You have my passion and support 🙏
_Passion and support intensifies_
We're getting out of the dark age with this one
Lol
dk ride ligma harder guys... embarrassing
These small developers are making better quality stuff than the established studios.
Hi Jason, i remember you previous project! You're lucky connecting the work and passion together.
I keep my fingers crossed for the immense success of new "Combat Pilot".
You had me at "Serious about bombers". Finally! A flight sim I can really get into.
Yoosta is in for Ace level. Can’t wait for this game. So glad someone decided to make the Pacific theatre a thing. Il2-1946 is so old…
Thanks for your support!
Awesome. VR will be important! Can't wait for the first playable releases. :)
that game library behind you deserves a video dedicated to it.
I might do that someday.
Yeah Jason, do it.
Very excited really hope you guys do a great job
Thanks Jason for the update! We will be ready when you folks are!
I'm all in and buying this product
@@ACG_Jaydog I first saw this combat pilot back in march while I started building my sim pit. I was “all in” as soon as I saw it was coming.
I cant wait for B17
Looks great. Very keen to get into this once VR is working.
VR will come.
Excited and all in. Keep it coming ❤
Nice one Jason. I'm lookiing on with unbridled expectation!!
Wow, that big box flight sim collection in the background is surely impressive. Looking forward to Combat Pilot.
Thank you! I'm missing a few I stupidly gave away years ago.
Always loved bombers back in my modded Il-2 1946 days. Crossing my fingers hoping for a Marauder.
We would love a Marauder too! My grandpa flew in them in England and France.
Well, well. This has some great potential.
I’m really excited to finally be able to fly Japanese planes in a game that doesn’t suck! I really hope we get to see the KI-44 and KI-61 soon
We hope to make them when we're past Midway and onto other areas. New Guinea anyone?
Nice B17.
I hope we can have multicrew with a pilot and a co-pilot.
You and me both!
@@combatpilotsim It will be a pleasure.
Guessing European Air War is sitting on the shelf behind you? Nice collection. The pacific theatre is LONG overdue -- best of luck!
Scratch that, I see EAW now.
No CFS collection is complete without it.
Even unpainted and untextured, that B-17 cockpit looks amazing!
OMG! I just took the virtual tour of the USS Enterprise, Amazing! I'll be buying for sure and no waiting until a sale to support your efforts with keeping this genre alive - thank you!
@@davidfreitas3992 I hope they get the “Mitchell” in too
I've been waiting for a good WW2 flight sim since Combat Flight Simulator 2. Finally may have found one! Can't wait to try it out.
You've been waiting a long time, but there are some others already out there that might scratch that itch.
Making flight sims great again MFSGA!!! Way to go Jason.
Super excited for this! WW2 Pacific is extremely underrated
We agree!
B-17 is a great choice. The Great Battles game engine can't handle bombers of this size. Maybe not a coincidence..
.
No it can. They just didn't want to make the necessary investment.
This guy's shelf looks like mine did in the 90s, I declare that he is probably legit!
100% onboard! Great!
Congratulations keep up the wonderful work.
looks awesome Jason and the team well done
Thanks Antonis!
this is very nice. You can count on me to be a buyer of these modules along the way. very excited Jason

Brilliant! the future is bright with Midway, Guadalcanal and the rest of the PTO. Great things will happen!
i’m so hyped!
Good luck Combat Pilot !
Let's GOOOOO
really looking forward to this best of luck to the Combat pilot team
I see a copy of Fighter Duel back from the mid 90s. Great flight sim for the early days of combat simming. WTG!
Man this really could be something. As soon as VR is available I will give it a try. The real question for me at the moment is, to what depth can we control the planes.
Its a flight sim, not a strategy game. You will have complete control like any other flight simulator.
I haven’t been this excited about a flight sim ever!!!
Now the pressure is on! Thanks for your support.
I hope that the P-40 will be added at some point. It is so underrepresented in flight sims. And it’s such an icon
We also love the P-40.
Why didn’t you start with the Doolittle raid, and the battle of coral sea. The reason why the battle at midway was so successful was because of these 2 events. Just asking
Doolittle Raid had very little combat and we're not ready to build Tokyo and large areas of Japan.
Looking good!
Sounds like a great approach. Will you include telemetry data for motion rigs?
Of course, but we don't know when that will be yet.
Looking forward to flying in the Pacific
will combat pilot have realistic fully clickable cockpits like DCS or will it be more like IL2?
Good question, if u don’t mind answering which do you prefer? I got an opinion having flown both DCS and IL2 just wanna see u think like I do .
@@jhglaze I like dcs and Il2 but 90% of the time I play DCS. Learning how the planes are flown realistically is mostly why I play flight simulators

We have no choice. Only way we can stay relevant in the market over the next few years and pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.
Let's get this thing liftoff
Extremely impressive shelf. The original rainbow six too.
I had to re-acquire my Rainbow six many years ago. I gave away my originals so I bought Gold and Collector's Editions later on.
Glad to see I am not the only one trying to ID them all.😂
Nice nice nice! Cant wait. Really cant wait. Thx for developing this!
B17...now that is a pleasant suprise!
Dev plan sounds great
Hell yeah, finally some heavy bombers
Hey Dude!
Hey yourself!
Nice game collection!
Thanks!
would you pay a contractor for a job in full on a promise? Build it then the pay comes.
Sick library dude!
Thank you. It used to be even better, but I stupidly sold off so many games and sims over the years. Wish I hadn't done that.
Man this is awesome!!!! I cant wait for you guys to blow the IL2 team into the past and become the main ww2 aviation sim!!
That's a tall order. Maybe we can in time.
