I was close, I knew you really liked x-men forever but I thought gauntlet would win overall for it's quality. Either way both are fantastic. As for my list, 1. Infinity gauntlet: this is one of my favorite sets in the whole game. Down great power cards but some fun ones as well. It feels thematic and the set looks great on the table. 2. WWE: I was excited to see this ip come to this game and for me it didn't disappoint. Lots of fun and cool cards, great representation from both past and present wrestling, and it was actually a fun draft. It was also a set a had success with getting non dice masters fans to play. 3. X-men Forever: honestly I agree with you on most points. Though there were some cards that kinda bummed me out like how rogue and wolverine was handled. I play this game the most with an x-men and wolverine fan in particular and some of the cards just felt off. 4. Justice: This set was a ton of fun. I had some solid hero versus villain matches and a lot of the cards were pretty fun. I do agree that the heroes felt just a bit stronger but that doesn't really bother me when villains get far too much spotlight anyway in this game. That said parasite singlehandedly carried most villain teams regardless. 5. Trouble in Water deep: this set is really fun and there's a lot of cool interactions between cards. This set also has some strong power cards like all dnd sets have. But it doesn't feel as interesting to me as the sets above it. Plus I'm not the biggest dnd guy, though I'm coming to like it more as I actually play dnd. 6. Warhammer: for pretty much everything you said. My hype for this set was high when the second set was announced and now that we won't ever see a follow-up, we are left with a set that is fun to play individually but feels pretty lacking compared to other sets. If only they had the forsight to do the justice or X-Men forever style box to sneak a few more characters in there. 7. Avengers Infinity: yeah I think this is everyone's bottom pick. I defend this set and I've had a lot of fun with it as a marvel fan, but I feel like this set is why dice masters failed as an lcg. Many people left the game as they saw what was frankly a lackluster "just another marvel" set being what wizkids was saying the game was gonna be going forward. The timing of release was pretty bad too as we still had plenty of more interesting avengers in modern when it came out. Now that we are in a new modern, Infinity gauntlet came out and did pretty much the same thing as infinity but with more characters and the cards felt much better. It's still a fun set and it still has good cards, but it was definitely a bad first impression for the lcg and it's why we are mostly back to packs going forward.
Hope you are still playing as 2022 could be a good year . Glad you didn't rate WWE , I'm not a wrestling fan but I find the set hugely OP given the fact that they are basically lycra clad humans . Becky is more powerful than a dragon for God's sake
Great list DMArmada as always, really fun video. I think you definitely went power level over umm cohesion/ stand alone fun (though WWE is probably an outlier here). My list would be a lot more focussed on what plays well by itself, and I think IG really suffers with that - maybe I just really don’t like IG in general (though I agree it is beautiful). Anyway my favourite based on how I find them as sets to play by themselves: 1. X-Men Forever 2. Justice. 3. Warhammer 4. Avengers Infinity 5. Trouble in Waterdeep 6. IG 7. WWE I should also say that Justice and X-Men Forever are so far ahead of everything else it’s pretty crazy, definitely in my top 5 sets of all time.
Just getting back into this game after a few years... When references are made to 'monsters' and 'superstars', they are all characters when mixed into a constructed team, right?

Thank you for making this! Would be amazing if you could make an updated one :)
Welcome back! Excellent analysis; I found myself nodding and thinking, yeah, he’s right, they didn’t synergize, over and over again.
Very informative video. Have you ever thought about ranking or Doing a tier video of all the sets ever made?

Here it is!
Thank you so much for breaking it down like this! I'm excited to see what your S rank sets are. :-)
