Love the center pin bobber down action
@@washingtonstatedon 🤙🏻
That hole was on fire!! Great bobber downs. Thanks for the video man!!
@@bradcourter9314 definitely a snappy day! Thanks for watching it man!!
To day is the day landing a couple and losing another dozen of them, I love those bobbers down actions brother nice video like always 🤜🤛🎣💯🔥🫡
@@juandiegojacinto2700 thanks ya! Always a fun day regardless of how many landed 🤙🏻
Been watching your IG reels for a couple years now, didn't know you had yt too. 🔥🔥🔥 As always brother💪🏽💪🏽
@@truenorthfisher thanks man!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
I see now why a good centerpin is so efficient. We have a creek just of lake michigan here and it's just loaded with downed trees that this reminds me of fishing lol.
Pin and conventional gear both have pros and cons for kings. Probably won’t use the pin as much next season, still fun tho! Thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Looks like you had a blast!
@@tnkstudio4622 sure did!
love the video my great-nephew and I set and watch the floaters go down thank you
@@larryb3988 love to hear it! Thanks for watching guys 🎣
I watch this show to learn how to hook and land fish 😂😂😂😂 WOW they definitely looked mean. And with the Pin makes it even more fun. Awesome video definitely enjoyed
@@bobgiles2971 one of those places you know you won’t land em before you even float it😂 still fun tho thanks Bob!!
Nice bobber downs a d catches! This season might be the worse because the weather has been worse its either rainy or super windy like this weekend. Might wait for winter steelhead.
Thank ya! Steel will be here before we know it 😎
I would say there were a couple of fish in that hole (understatement). Are you using rubber hooks LOL.Great video as usual👍👍.
@@andyastour2544 feels like it sometimes with kings lol thanks for watching!
I'm so jealous. The nearest salmon fishing spot for me is 4 hours away, so I don't get many opportunities. The few times I get to go, I get skunked, haven't got one this year.😫
@@sunbros.2002 keep at it it’s worth it in the long run!
how many lb main line and how many lb leader you are using for this big fish ?
30lb + braid mainline and 20lb leader
I thought in Michigan your stinger hook has to be in the bait?
@@runawayjim6350 stingers are legal in Michigan no different than a double bead rig. Just have to check with regulations on certain streams since they do vary
Hey... dose the flexibility of rod... too much like a noodle
And lack of drag have a difference... my wifes dad has Parkinson...he gave me is fish rod... i want get one with it..
I have no fish eggs... being a newbie dont help... is the hand to hand combat in river
Your favorite way to fish...i only got two one jigging open water..the other was with t= stick... hoping to get one on spawn maybe meet up to buy some from ya...or where to buy some...nice content footage..as always
@@danhughes3626 for kings you want a rod rated up to around 18-20lbs. Fish big red beads if you have no bait or throw hardware. Thanks for watching!
@sbsoutdooraction3055 no worries thanks keep video's com6
@@danhughes3626 will do!
Landed a ton of fish in the hole this yr.. just have to keep the rod up the whole time. That flopping the rod side to side trying to steer them don't work in that hole.. (or at all really)
@@killermiller9627 seems like they pretty much have to swim through the logs perfectly to get em in there. Most are already in timber before ya can even do anything. Will give it a shot tho thanks for watching!
@sbsoutdooraction3055 it's definitely a tricky spot, tbut you just gotta keep em up. I try to horse em out of the hole then they will typically go down stream of that little jam, and then you can get em up on the beach or to a net as theres less wood down there. Have definitely lost my fair share there, but it is possible if you can put the wood to em and know exactly where to get em to go.
What’s up with flopping the rod all over the place? I get the wood and trying to steer them but geez. Calm down on flopping the rod every which direction. A lot of the fish came off when you were going up/down/up/left/right/left/down/up/left/right. 🫣
Just basic directional control. Almost every fish in this video was lost due to a line break from rubbing on submerged logs that the camera doesn’t pick up
When you’re in a narrow/small river like this, steering and directing the kings away from brush/tress that may be submerged, and keeping them from taking off down or up the river, is essential to increasing your landing rate. Especially when the fish are hot, like these kings are.
@@Trout789seems to be a common thing with these clowns. I get the tight water and wood but common, calm down boys.
@@Kman269 While I do agree it may be a little much, I’m not gonna sit here and act like I know how to better fish a river I’ve never fished before.
@@Kman269you went from asking a question to being a clown.. you can be fishing with 30lb fluorocarbon for these fuckers and they’re peeling you wherever they want.. clear skinny water, lighter line and wood in the river is a terrible combination. Turning the direction of head and changing the tension in the line by moving the rod he’s trying change the place the fish decides to run.. if you’re in an open clear river you can keep that rod straight up that whole time, does that help you Mr. Goof?
Do spawn sacks work at all? I see you pretty much only toss skein?
Went yesterday at the Muskegon and only saw a couple fish
@@wadeboven6782 definitely worth trying! They work but I’ve never personally thrown em for kings
There he is
@@humibugs didn’t realize how much I say that until this vid 😂

Fished my butt off yesterday and 1 fish. Water was pretty low and clear. Hope for rain.

Maybe use a different set up. Those center pins make everything way more exaggerated than it needs to be. If that’s what you wanna use just for the challenge or whatever reason then I get it.. but you’re using a rod with barely any leverage. The rod has to load up before it has any pulling power. I’ve been fishing these things since before UA-cam so I’m not without experience. There’s no drag….. so, in order to compensate the rods are very parabolic. Not to mention the line coming back to you is 1/1. I’m just confused about if you actually think it’s that difficult or if you know you’re using more challenging gear for the heck of it. Either way man what the heck… try a rod with back bone and a reel with an actual drag and that has way more inches of line pick up so you can do more fighting of fish than simply loosing the majority of all that you hook. I have a pin that I use for winter and spring fish.. but that’s about it. Use the right tool for the job with all that wood and skinny water. Or just announce to the viewers what is about to happen since you know you’re outgunned in that situation, other than being stumped to why you can’t land hardly any kings that you hook.
Was just enjoying some kings on the pin. Knew going into it’s more of a challenge. Ran spinning gear most my season just wanted to shake it up. Wasn’t stumped, mentioned a handful of times in the vid it won’t be a good place to land em out of with all the wood. Fun either way thanks for watching tight lines 🎣
That was some cool action!! Damm I wish I was out there!!! 🙏🙏🫣🫣🤐🤐
