You are correct about the roof rusting issues on the 60 LeBarons, but not on the 61, it has the exact same roof panel as the 62 and 63. For 60, the limousine style rear window styling was achieved by welding an insert into the wrap-around window opening of the regular Imperial. But the 61 gets the new one-piece roof panel. Beautiful car.
Great save ! She's gonna be gorgeous. I used to think the early 60's Exiner Mopar's were a little cartoonish but nowadays, I can't get enough of 'em. Definitely put her back in white...👍🏁
LOL ! He's my mom's dog. I've got the car parked at her house until my new house is built on the local lake. He's a terrible dog though, he gets so excited he jumps on you, (all 50 pounds of him) muddy paws and all, and won't stop. Then he pee's all over your leg because he's so excited to see you !
Die-hard Mopar here. Love the '62 styling, so beautiful from every angle. Yours has pretty much every option, doesn't it? Thank you for saving it. Like you say, they didn't make many LeBarons. It's no small undertaking to restore this.
fwiw, the dog does like you. just give him a little pat on the nose and direct him away if you need your space using your hand on the snout. you'll have an easier time of it if you set boundaries in the way dogs understand instead of doing the usual human things. be firm, but have a kind hand.
Hope to see more of this one, sweet old girl, cheers

Didn’t make many you say…..WONDER WHY
You sound just like Louisiana senator John Kennedy. Love your car.

Chrysler didn't offer the Flytesweep trunk lid in 62, but 60-63 all interchange, so many owners swap them over. I had a 62 Crown many years ago.
I know it, but I do love the look of them !
Coolest '60s car ever! Just leave the seats as is. They're fine.
