Here's my old Triumph 750 Tiger chopper running. it has 150 miles on the fresh, rebuilt engine and a brand new Amal carb.
This is the 1st time she's been started since the end of January when I picked her up from the shop (British in the City/Atlanta).

From the same day as #6 and 7, but I found out the left turn signal works great ! At least on the front, there are no bulb housings in the taillights.

I put a new battery in her to check what does and still doesn't work. It's summer now so the heat is on reaching 100 degrees. I was hoping the heat would loosen things up a bit and apparently it did ! I now have the power antenna, variable speed wipers, the rear blower and left turn signal all work. I pulled all the fuses before I left and will install all the new ones on the next trip over to ...

Had one, gave it away. Acted just like that one. Still have some Amal carbs laying around somewhere
Sweet chopper!
G'day mate, nice bike, couldn't help but notice your battery's jumping around a fair bit in the tray, might pay to strap it down or clamp it
I had just put a brand new battery in it, and while replacing it, the leather strap I had holding the old battery in, broke. I had to make a new strap, so it's good now.
I like it except for the color of the tank and frame. Some bright colors would look great.
Well, the bike is a 750 Tiger, so I went with a Flying Tiger's theme. I'm eventually going to paint the Tiger on the neck gussets and the 1st Pursuit Sqd. emblem on top of the tank.
🖤sweet lookin' trumpy. I hope you got something to hold that new battery down..
Cool 🤘 i have 1965 BSA twin too
fwiw, the dog does like you. just give him a little pat on the nose and direct him away if you need your space using your hand on the snout. you'll have an easier time of it if you set boundaries in the way dogs understand instead of doing the usual human things. be firm, but have a kind hand.
i'd love one of these, they're soooo stylish. But I've got to finish the DeSoto first.
Good luck with your Chrysler Imperial Lebanon. Had 1969 myself. It's a great hobby. Take your time and enjoy the process. From South Carolina USA 🇺🇸
Awesome found the first video great to see the first video wish you the best with this awesome Ole gal
I want to follow this project just subscribed to the channel brother this is awesome
Thanks Robert ! It's going to be a slow process, but like Johnny Cash sang...One Piece At A Time !
@scott6305 lol for sure just be careful in the heat brother I look forward to the progress take care and will be looking forward to future videos
Thats awesome brother
Scratching the shoot outa the windshield when dirty stopppp
Switch has button back of dash top of switch. Depress button and then vigorously pull switch rod and should come out
Light swtch has button on back of switch under dash press down while pulling knob out same time
Radio is tubes and it has caps in them and it buzzs vol control is dirty and spray contact cleaner in vol control with radio off and. Vigorously switch from lo to hi vol a few times
Those look like vorvair or impala tai Oghts 1963
Bad dimmer switch for head Ights all crusty😊😊
I know a guy that could hook you up with some parts possibly
Take the backseat out, and see if you can crawl back in there
You will get it done !!
glad you got this away from the demo derby jerks
Don't be afraid of locks. You can do it. Most of these are very simple and just go in and you will see how the tabs and keys work. I have keyed many cars to use one key for all locks. Trust me that you should try this and it is not hard at all.
Neat old car❤❤
Man that's just some darn fun there! Keep slugging away at it!
You can pop them switches apart, and clean them, lube em with a drip of ATF,it's not petrol based. If the radio has a tube, it has to warm up.
Glad to see you putting it back on the road, very good looking Imperial.
A new wire harness would fix these problems for another 60 years😊
Electrical gremlins in that old car🎉
CRC. ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER AT AUTO STORE
Are you trying to fix this car as it is? You might be 30 years too late.
I would concentrate on getting it running before worrying about anything else. Looks like a relatively clean car. How bad is the rust?
Cat,, one of the earlier videos shows much of the body,, its pretty good, there are a few patches of rust...
$19.95...NO UPS NO EXTRAS...GENERAL ELECTRIC SILICONES...EARL SCHIEB...😊
Always loved the floating headlight look on these beasts. If she’s ever up for sale I call dibs!
The "Driver" for the dash lights are Electroluminescent little tiny white bars or rods that look like warehouse-type florescent bulbs, that Driver/power pack may be bad. I had a '63 Imperial (same dash) and all of the wiring to those bulbs were totally fried from some short or too much current coming from the power pack.
Thanks Dennis ! It'll be a while before I get that far into this thing, but I'll certainly check it out when I do !
You are correct about the iridescent front material not being original. All 4 doors would have matched the rear of the front seat. There is a very nice series of refence photos on a car sales sight. Search google: "1962 IMPERIAL LEBARON Orlando classic cars". Its a black one and looks 100% correct. All the lower door panels match each other, and all have that same striped material you showed on the back of your front seat.
Spray your electrical switches and connections with a spray can of CRC electronic cleaner sold at any hardware store of home improvement center. It etches the metal surface areas for factory new contact.
Thanks Z ! I'll try it.
@@scott6305get some white 3m. Scrubbies and touch up the fuse box contacts same for the wipers switches and plugs contacts outside..usually a vigorous on off cycle a few times will bring back item. Same for lights check grounds and take a batt terminal cleaner and clean out the socket of grime. Cool car😮😮😮😮
Thanks for the videos Im watching and Fully entertained
Thank you Josh ! Right now, the videos are few and far between because I don't have an indoor shop to work on it. As soon as I buy the new house and get the shop built, I'll be doing videos of the whole process.
Get a fully charged battery ..turn the ignition switch on and use jumper wires and a test light to get ur windows working...
I put a brand new battery with a full charge in it and used a door lock switch to operate the windows. It only worked on the one window, so I'm guessing all the others are dead. The main switch on the drivers door has a broken backing plate on it so I'm also guessing that's why none of the drivers switches work. It's going to have to be rebuilt.
@@scott6305 its very posible that you might just have bad grounds too, i doubt three window motors all burned out. i would also go over everything with some WD40, locks, switches, motors, even electrical connections.
@@cjhatescomputers I've sprayed just about everything that can move with WD-40 . I think there is a broken wiring harness in the driver's door. I just really haven't had the time to work on it.
Really like imperials, nice score.
A long, long time ago, someone was too stupid to buy a '62 Lincoln.
Well, they bought the Imperial because they didn't want to be stranded on the side of the road.
@@scott6305 Of course. The Imperials broke down in public places.
@@AdamWaffen The Lincoln's were ugly, no style or class. They were a box that didn't stand out from anything else. They had no technology, no engineering. They were common. I guess that's why you like them so much, you're as common as they are.
Exner was fired over these gaudy and tacky sea monsters. They replaced him with the designer of the 61 Lincoln. So remember, educate yourself, read, think, then write. In that order.
Thanks for restoring something which is beautiful. I appreciate it.
Thanks mate! Always have loved those Imperials. So beautiful! Give her life...

I Love it Tim
Hello from the UK. Amazing car, hope you are able to restore it.
Good Luck fixing this ol girl up. When car's were car's!😊
Have a 62 crown hardtop in white if your interested..
This one's enough, the wife would murder me if I brought home another one !
Your old Huh ? That would be a daunting task for a young professional. Must be love, because it's definitely not a money maker.
It is love ! It's also a family project to teach my wife and stepson how to work on old cars. They're looking forward to it.
So why not just CLIMB ACROSS THE SEAT & unlock the door?????
I did, it still wouldn't open. I took the power lock switch off and flipped it around and unlocked the door. That worked. This car hasn't run since 1979, there's a lot of adjustment's that have to be made.
Vintage parts are expensive. That car will cost a fortune to restore.
Yes, and it will cost way more to restore it than it will ever be worth. But some things you just can't put a price on. This is going to be a family project and I'll be teaching my wife and stepson how to work on stuff. They are both anxious to learn how to do this.
@@scott6305 sounds like a great family event. As long as you have the extra bucks have fun.
@scott6305 parts for these imperial aren't as rare as everyone believes. 1961-1963 are fits for many parts on these imperials
@@JanetWoolley-ze8qb Maybe a donar car is a consideration? I restored completeley a 1947 Chrsyler New Yorker in 1999. I spent a fortune over 2 years time but I had expendable monies. LOL
