So did mine. This time I'm placing cinder blocks between each pole and run cables from the cinder blocks to the top horizontal poles, with a small turnbuckle to adjust tension. Hope this does it. Just as a side note: mine was in place for sixteen years. During this time I bought side curtains from King Canopy. As long as all curtains were closed the wind couldn't get in to blow it away. But I left the front open once and the wind got inside and blew it away.
Installing my third canopy and this video definitely made it easier. Thanks for your time making this video! Her husband and kids are in good hands! Shes a DIY kinda girl!
thank you, you have made this assembling so easy, compare with others who are trying to do the same not every body is a good teacher, you have just won a student
It's 2022, I've watched numerous videos of assembling my canopy carport...and this young lady just made a whole lot of video makers (all men by the way) look pretty ordinary. Best demonstration ever! The fellas, me too, don't really look at the instructions and it's a comedy of errors. Thanks for the great video Melissa, looking all the way back from the future, great job! 👌🏼👍🏼
Great job Melissa, you are the best above all other installer in this UA-cam! I started myself; but I was struggling to complete the installation when it came to the three way and four way corners until I watched you doing this demonstration and I got 90% of teaching simply you go too fast in the legs step. Thank you so much for your help, I couldn't figure it out from other UA-camrs! Google deserves to pay for this demonstration video. I love your teaching ❤
thank you so much for this! I recently did it by myself at a farmers market without knowing anything at all and wow... it was not this easy lol! But now seeing your video I got it!
She is great me and my daughter assembly one today. Tomorrow needs to anchor it down it comes with anchors for concrete or grass. It look great love it.
I'm going to use my frame for a greenhouse and I don't have a canopy so I'm going to use electrical tape at the joints to help hold it together while I lift it up.
Recently i buy the 10x20 shelters in sams to my 10x20 skeleton of pepboys and it gets so baggy. When it rains it fills up with water and it's tiring to have to empty it every time, so that I don't break the tubes or damage the shelter itself. Any recommendations on how to tie it up or solve this.
Just wanted UA-camrs to know I used this video to put up my Harbor Freight Canopy 10x20 and its almost exactly the same so you use the same methods just a little different parts. It worked perfect and I did it by myself, a little hassle putting on tarp but other than that it was a cinch.
Cody Casteel Is that harbor freight canopy still good to date? Or did it not last? Please get back at me, I’m debating whether to buy it or not In the next few days.. thank you
Melissa thanks for putting this video together. I was wondering if you folks has a canopy that specifically fit the standard size of a parking space? 8' x17' .My condo has only open parking spaces and I was looking for a canopy that would fit in my parking space so I'd be in the shade while detailing my car. Thanks again for the tutorial and demonstration!
My experience with these kinds of cheap car canopy is that they tend to not last very long if you don't actively watch and take care of them. You have to constantly be on the lookout for bad weather and take down the plastic covers beforehand as mentioned in the video. You can normally leave it on in calm days and in somewhat mild winds, but any sort of storm, and it won't survive. Your best bet to keep it from blowing away in moderate winds is to tie it down aggressively, using bolts to secure the legs to the ground, and rope or ratchet straps in the corners. Keep in mind though, that a lot of these have really cheap metal tubes and as such they can also bend if the wind is too strong, so it may not fly away, but it could bend and then fall on whatever you have stored under it.
I have been watching this video for the past 4 years. I have a couple of tents and canopies. I always use this video every 6 months for reference. I use canopies for birthday parties and family gatherings. Can you please change the music? (Just kidding.)
My 10x20 King Canopy is 5 years old and never took it down for winters. Survives 8 inch Western PA snowfalls. Didn't anchor mine and the first week I had to pull it down from a tree. Now with it tied to 4 - 24 inch crowbars hammered into the ground, it's not going anywhere. Note: the bungie balls do go bad, better order some extras from their accessories page.
This young lady needs a raise, great job
Mine blew away last night in a rainstorm. It went over the fence and landed in my neighbor's yard. It had six guy lines and two lines to the house.
So did mine. This time I'm placing cinder blocks between each pole and run cables from the cinder blocks to the top horizontal poles, with a small turnbuckle to adjust tension. Hope this does it. I'm going to put Cement in the ground for mine so it won't blow away, good idea also

Great Helping video, one question how difficult would it be to add some PVC pipe to the 6 side pole to make the canopy taller, thank you.
when installing the legs start in the middle not the front one side at a time also put the flat leg circles on the poles before installing.

How do these do against hail?
How is the quality of the tent?
Nice demo, thank you so much.
You didn't install the guy lines to hold it against a strong wind and how will it work on an incline. Not all driveways are level.
What an outstanding video by a a beautiful woman. This is the best demenstration video I have ever seen on youtube or anywhere else. Great job!
helped me , thank you!!!

You are a blessing thank you for sharing. You didn't anchor it to the ground?
My 10x20 King Canopy is 5 years old and never took it down for winters. Survives 8 inch Western PA snowfalls.
