    Your reasoning is excellent, Jasmin. We'll see how the competition ends at the end of the season.

    Love your confidence in your choices Jasmin! Brent great idea!

      She is quite confident in those choices, isn't she? A bit too confident if you ask me since she will lose!

    What a great video! I loved it! For the NL Cy Young I also feel that Justin Steele might surprise some people. I also feel that Tyler Glasnow could have a great season with the Dodgers, but I also feel that Dylan Cease might be in the bunch, of course Spencer Stryder should be there too. Yamamoto might be on the cy young list as well. I really enjoyed the video and, like father like daughter, your daughter knows a lot about baseball, just like her father. Great video once again!

      Thank you so much for the comment and compliments! I agree those are some good pitchers to watch...I would have considered Cease more had he been on the Padres already when we made this video

    8:16 Aaron Judge omitted and my brain is shot

      He is an interesting one. A rare case where I would be equally unsurprised if you told me he would win the next three MVPs or if you told me 2022 would be the last great season he had because he couldn't stay on the field. At least I picked Soto!

    Oliver and I loved this video.. we will spend time coming up with our own lists. Oliver thinks that Jasmine's MVP picks were much better than yours 😂

    13:59 that’s bullshit. Even with Cole out the Yankees will get the first WC. The Rays lost a lot of good talent and the Blue Jays lost Matt Chapman and Whit Merrifield and had 0 replacements.

    • @brutusonbaseball
      @brutusonbaseball  7 місяців тому

      Sorry if I hurt your feelings Doc...the loss of Cole was a knee-jerk reaction. When I made this video I figured he would be lost for the year, so it's been good news. I originally had the Rays and Yanks making it but changed to the Jays last minute.
      The Rays are easy to pick because even when they lose talent, they seem to always find it somewhere else. The Jays didn't do a whole lot this off-season except Justin Turner, but picking them is more a consideration that their young core should have a better year compared to last year. If I had to do it again after the Cole news, I'd probably switch back to the Yanks...but it's more fun this way!

    Also add manager of the year.

    • @brutusonbaseball
      @brutusonbaseball  7 місяців тому

      Yeah I always forget about that one. To me it seems more like the "team that wasn't supposed to do well but did" award. I'm not sure how much of that is the manager, and how much is player performance, and how much any player improvement is actually because of the manager. I guess I just don't put much stock in the award...there's been too many managers of the year that were fired the next season

    The cardinals? Lol you do knew they were about the worst team in the central last year right? Lmao

    • @brutusonbaseball
      @brutusonbaseball  7 місяців тому

      I think they got better by adding some key pitching, which was their major fault last year. Plus they've got some young players that should be better.
      More than that though, I just have a hard time counting the Cards out for more than one season. They're just one of those teams that always seems to find a way to get back in contention.

      @brutusonbaseball I just don't see it. Lance Lynn is a middle of the rotation guy and Sonny Gray needs more consistency. The cubs brought in Craig counsel and that move had a madden feel to it. Providing they stay healthy, this is the cubs division to lose.

    • @brutusonbaseball

      @richardbianco9674 fair points, but I would take the roster upgrades over the Manager upgrade. Never know though, will just have to wait and see.
      At least that's the only pick you disagree with...must have gotten everything else right 😎

      @brutusonbaseball the rest of the answers were all very plausible lol. Although if I were betting, I think she will end up with more right🤣. Very impressive for any child let alone a daughter. Good job there bud!

      @@richardbianco9674 thanks, and you're probably right! I always try to have a little fun with these and think outside the box, but I'm guessing she'll likely do better. At least we both picked the Cardinals!
