Question: If God's Holy Spirit indwells you, then are you taking God to church, in order to worship God? The truth is that God tells us to worship Him in the spirit, and not in the flesh in our "worship Houses" made by hands. Sadly, I have just learned this truth, and I want to share it with you, so that you may know this truth as well. We see in Romans 12:1 that we are to worship in the spirit. Romans 12:1 I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship." We see in Philippians 3:3 that we are to worship in the spirit, and NOT in the flesh. Philippians 3:3 "For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh." Philippians 3:3 says to "have no confidence worshipping in the flesh," so just why are we worshipping in the flesh? The churches that Paul started were in people's homes for the fellowship (not worship) of members of the "body of Christ. FELLOWSHIP HOUSES - NOT WORSHIP HOUSES It is so simple people - but Satan is so crafty. Satan has blinded the eyes of those who do not follow the commandment of II Timothy 2:15. II Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I am very ashamed for being deceived by Satan for almost all of my life. I want for you to know the truth of how to worship God as He tells us to worship Him. We cannot truly worship God in any assembly, because he tells us to worship Him spiritually! So, who are we truly worshiping at our assemblies? That is the age-old question. We all need to wake up and start studying our Bibles. Don't trust me - don't trust anyone - only trust the word of God. Study to find the truth.
Acts 2:42. The Church is a fellowship for believers to be fed and feed those in need. a body of people coming together in like mindness and in the goal for the preparation for the kingdom of God to come.
