@@chrisbeebe7596 In Purgatory, you suffer before you go to Heaven (though if I wanted to do that, I’d just become a Christian). In Hell, there is no end or escape. I don’t believe anyone is deserving of such torment, eternal or not.
@@teleportedbreadfor3days if we’re talking about what damnation actually is instead of creative imaginations about it then this is inappropriate. Purgation is the cleansing of all remaining attachment to sin, because no evil can be with God, who is Goodness itself. His very existence, presence, and purity “burns”, “cleanses”, and “purifies”, all that which is antithetical to him. Those experiencing this purgation have already lived in accord with the Good, and have chosen Good over evil, Love over hate, and confirmed their will to Eternal and Divine Love; and so they are purified and transformed into Him. If anyone is “in Hell” suffering eternal torment, it is of their own choosing, because they willfully rejected the Eternal Good for lesser and evil things. They experience this suffering eternally precisely because their will is eternally rejecting Goodness itself. Without the very source of all that is Good, there is only evil. Without the very source of Life, there is only eternal death and suffering. Do they deserve this fate of their own choosing? It might be more appropriate to say that they were not made for such a fate, and it’s a shame that they have chosen foolishly, but there is to be no pitying the damned. This is the path they have chosen, and it would be perverse to do so.

Supergirl should be proud she managed to fight Doomsday one on one and walk out of it alive and barely harmed. Even Superman almost can never do this.
