Artist's Note: Hope y'all dig the lyric video!! Huge thanks to Riley for putting this together on such short notice. This song is so fun and different from the stuff I normally cover that I wanted the visuals to match the vibes. I think it turned out super cool. Don't expect all of my videos to be this cool, though. Riley will only be doing videos for a handful of my covers going forward. But keep an eye out for his work!
I remember at the beginning of the month when I heard Dance in the Game for the first time. I thought "this is impossible, there's no way". And then I ended up playing it on repeat constantly for a week or so, and by the middle of the month, I was like "you know what... I'm gonna try it". And this is the result. I'm actually really proud of this. For a song that's a pretty drastic departure from my normal style, I think this turned out really cool. Of course, I had to make it more on the rock side too or it wouldn't be a real Silver Storm cover, would it?
Naturally, being a fan of the show really helped the lyrics, too. It focuses heavily on the intricacies of human relationships, especially given stakes and a competitive atmosphere. These lyrics are actually some of my favorites I've ever written.

I wish you would have added this line "Are you a fool who's pretending to be a genius? Or a genius who keeps playing the fool?" it would bring so much intense in the song but great work either way

It actually won't match the rhythm you sing the two lines yourself with the music and see the time consume in it...it matches with Japanese version but not with eng version

as much as I cringe at English covers, as they are inaccurate (ex. too many syllables, compared to the amount needed, in the Japanese version), this one is exceptionally amazing 😩❤️

This is great, i dont usually like the english dubs for the anime ops so this is a massive exception. Though i would like to say that you could have used "they call empty theories as dreams, in the midst of recklessness the light shines" or something to that effect and the iconic line where they talk about how in this game you cannot win alone being added would have also made it better. Of course all of that is just my own personal opinion and you can take it with a grain of salt
those lines in particular were tricky to work with. the only way I could think to fit it as close as possible to the original line was what I used. "empty theories are just dreams" is basically saying "there's something I wish I could prove at some point in the future", hence "I've got a vision for the future". "recklessness" is often a quality that goes hand in hand with risk, or "taking a chance", in this case, and "the light shines" is likely referring to one's inner strength that's found in the darkest times. hence "if you don't take a chance, there is strength you'll never find".
plus, it's gotta rhyme too.
