My Mother died a day after her birthday a year ago tomorrow.Its been a year since her transition. She was in hospice. Deepak's work has helped me with many aspects of my life and learning. My thoughts are with you.
Dr. Chopra, I was an employee at MWH in the 70’s and early 80’s, before starting college and summers home from college working in the ER. I remember you very well. I remember your calmness and kindness working with patients and staff. I very much enjoy listening to your voice and your wisdom. Your journey has been so interesting to watch. Dear Dr Chopra, I can’t thank you enough for this discussion! I’m currently experiencing great heartache because my older sister is in stage 4 cancer. At first I prayed for a miracle, but now I’m getting “God’s will, not mine” in prayer and meditation. So now I’m trying to accept that it’s a definite possibility. I’ve struggled with this because she is my only family. I went to the lake this afternoon to meditate, to try and get some relief from Source and Nature. Now, listening to your discussion, I’m feeling somewhat more settled, so thank you so very much! I truly do appreciate your talks. I’m a new fan of yours, although I have in my bookshelf several of your books. I’m going to try to get some of your more recent books. I find that your explanations wring true for me! Once upon a time, I touched off death. When I think back I should of been in a lot of pain, after all my organs were failing but I wasn’t … what I felt was a peace like no other .. like falling into the nicest sleep you can possibly imagine. An acceptance that I was about to die but a knowing that it wasn’t the end. Obviously I survived or I wouldn’t be writing this here but I don’t fear death because of that experience. I knew it was the next stage, and a feeling of going home. Always continue your talks deepak and safe journeys.

I was particularly helped by the caterpillar/butterfly image. My son who passed away 3 1/2 years ago sent us many monarch butterflies the summer after he passed. I knew he was trying to tell us about his own transformation and his continued existence and nearness to us.
The sense of “me-ness constantly changes throughout life, yet we are never without a sense of identity. It’s still there is transcendent states, but the deeper we go in Turiya, the more we find that the sense of “me” as an axis of identity morphs somehow into a sense of “I exist” that never changes but which expands, not as an individual but as that Divine principle from which all beings arise, and to which all beings eventually will return. Thus is the experience that death is a concept in error, not a reality.
