Thanks for the Big Support and Subscription Guys! This Video is FLYING!
    ---
    Was it how you expected?
It was certainly a surprise for me.
It's always super exciting to compare what I hear vs what I see 😁
That Wendy's by the way was the freshest best Wendy's I've ever had 😂 You should try too!

I lived in Juarez for 35 years, i am 36 now. So behind the violence was the war on drugs
and cartels. As far as being able to walk without getting robbed, it is super safe. People are so welcoming and that is because we have a lot of people from different parts of Mexico and Latin America , that obviously try to make it to the US. I live in El Paso, Tx now and i can say people are pretty much the same. Sister cities even though one is in Mexico and the other across the border. I'm glad you had a good time in Juarez, I hope you come back to be able to go deeper into the city. There is much more to it

Hello buddy! I'm from Juárez, and I didn't know about your channel until I came across this video out of nowhere😅
Thank you for your courage to venture to our city despite all that negative fame that the media have been creating and fueling for more than 10 years. You yourself could tell that the atmosphere currently is very calm here, busy but happy, and the people here are super friendly and welcoming. It's true that the area you were walking through is only the historic downtown and that the rest of the city is enormous (in fact Juarez is one of the largest cities in Mexico). But no matter what part of the city you're in, you will always come across very friendly people and and that is why it's very common for the rest of the Mexicans to always speak highly of Juarez people as one of the friendliest and most welcoming regions in the country.
You can feel free and safe to come back and visit some other places! 🙌🏼

Great video! I grew up in Texas and back in the early 90s our school did a day trip into Juarez, to those same markets and it was so nice and fun. Later I moved to Arizona and would occasionally drive back to visit friends and family. I enjoyed parking and doing the exact trip you depicted in this video, stop over for an afternoon of shopping and grab a meal. Over the years I had stopped doing that and the last time was over 10 years ago. I remember those main streets right over the bridge being much more run down and scary the last time I was there. I remember there being far fewer people out and about in those markets and only the liquor stores were actually open. Other stores looked like you needed to knock and get the merchants to open up.
So it is nice to see that things are improving in Juarez. I hope it continues to improve and maybe I'll feel safe visiting again in the future.

I've never been to Juarez despite my mother being from there. I've visited Tijuana many times, and it's sobering to see police in full tactical gear and face coverings, along with the military driving through the streets. Seeing that officer in the video reminded me of that. Even in San Felipe, I saw a squad of military personnel taking position as we were fueling up. I will be visiting San Felipe again. Our group has a fishing trip that we've been doing for the past several years. Best thing one can do is be aware of your surroundings and stay out of areas where you don't belong.

I thought that Tijuana was considered the most dangerous city. Juarez was a hotspot 10 to 15 years ago during the bloody cartel wars. But it has become pretty mellow and calm since then. I've wandered the city on several occasions and the only people who gave me problems were the money hungry policia. But police extortion is a Mexican tradition in every city.

    • @geraldarnoult

They lie all the time lived in Tijuana for 47 years never seen cartel war, not even a shooting, not to say it cant never happen, be careful what comes out of the U.S., its Politics and race

    • @geraldarnoult
      @geraldarnoult 4 місяці тому

That was ALWAYS EXAGARRATED B.S. about Juarez, most Mexicans nor the thousand of Americans living there ever come in contact with the Cartel, unless involved in that life, the U.S. loves to distort and sell fear, exaggerating and sensationalism (U.S. media and U.S. $$$click videos) I live in Tijuana an Anglo American 47 years, never seen a cartel war not even a shooting not to say it cant happen, its mostly U.S. hype, they bad mouth Mexico becouse there taking all the tourist away. In 2022, 66 million international visitors arrived in Mexico. That is 10 million 695 thousand more visitors compared to 2021 which represented an increase of 19.3%. most dont have any dangerous encounters, the murder of Americana is low, a better chance of being murdered in U.S. dangerous cities, and most of that is believe for American involvement in drugs and cartel stuff, for general crime the U.S. is more dangerous cities are worse, especially hideuse crazy crime and if so dangerous why are American and green card holder invading Mexico to live a better economic life? it mostly the U.S. who spreads the B.S. image about Mexico and ignore all the crimes in the U.S. and stop calling American criminals and gang banger in gangland U.S.A. Mexican or south of the border, MS-13 origin is the U.S. (Los Angeles) not El Salvador, most are American, cannot be deported (the fewer lesser) where born in El Salvador but raised in the U.S. becouse the are not citizens, raised in the U.S. they can be deported, they dont even know El Salvador, and most have green cards there not illegal, I lived in Mexico for 47 years, dont see a bunch of gangbangers nor the cartel, what do you think there state sponsored, there wanted in Mexico the keep a low profile, they go to jail when cought, the Mexican Government and the military is much more stronger then the cartel, stop watching scareface and Netflix movies and stop with the President of Mexico has ties to the cartel, you people are out of your minds, when I go to the states and people ask me about the cartel, is like if I ask how the mafia doing? they would think I'm nuts, there response would probably go like this: "how I'm I suppose to know" sounds just as stupid, American are ignorance of Mexico and now its actually going into brainwashing, like Nazi Germany of the 30s blaming crime on migrants who are less likely to cause crime then Americans, this is nothing new, slandering migrants is an American tradition there also generally more wellbehived one of the nice things I like about Mexico is there not Karen's becouse Mexico dont act stupid like that the U.S. cant even take responsibility for there OWN diseases no evidence it come from China and the U.S. had the highest rate of Coved in the world google it (WORLDOMETER COVID) ever hear of the all American flu, cold, bug, anything? and you never will, they also had the highest rate of Monkey pox (google that to)

      @@kevinallen5450 Sure is it
After crossing the Santa Fe Bridge, you are on Juarez Avenue, the same one that the guy in the video took towards the heart of downtown. It's very safe since it is busy with people coming and going from the U.S. I am from Juárez and while I walk there it's normal to come across groups of tourists, couples or solitary tourists walking calmly (regardless of whether they're white, black, asian, etc.). Racism in Mexico is something very rare and in general Mexicans are friendly to all types of visitors. Sadly, that area has currently been overcrowded by migrants from Venezuela, Haiti and Central America, and they certainly cause tension and mistrust even among the Juarez citizens themselves.

Juárez chih Mex. Esta muy grande a crecido mucho. Muchas colonias se conocen por números. No por nombres. Las que están alrededor del centro. Serquitas de los puentes no son peligrosas. Personals sivilisadas. Por muchas PARTES no es muy peligroso. Será más a las afueras. Porque no siquiera donde están las letras del cerro es peligroso.

It is now December 2024, and in all honesty, downtown El Paso is much more decrepit than most of Ciudad Juarez, there are derelicts, strewn all about, and many areas of Stanton St. reeks of urine and I've seen even worse. ( one must watch where you step) In Juarez, the police would never tolerate mentally ill and addicts bothering passers by and homeless encampments - that exist in El Paso. One must use common sense when traveling, avoid certain neighborhoods, don't go out at night, avoid bars, etc. But as a whole, Juarensez are friendly, respectful, and polite to women and tourists - I have lived in various countries and visited more.( the same cannot be said of every city in the U.S. or even Europe.)
