- This was Owen's first chiropractic appointment and he did very well! I'm glad we got some of his issues figured out and he is feeling much better already! We will be going back in a few months to get him adjusted again and see how he's improving!! I'm no expert at chiropractic work so I'm sorry I couldn't explain it more to you guys.. But I'm still learning and really enjoy stuff like this! Thank you all for watching and I'll catch you guys on my next video!! :)

Ulcers would also make sense given his recent surgery and the stresses caused by that. Especially as he had to be starved for a while before the general anaesthetic. Poor Owen, hope he feels better soon.

Very nice that your doing this! I think the chiropractor is very important with horses. A tip my horse massager gave is to let have them treated by a physical therapist or sport masseuse a few weeks before getting checked by the chiropractor because the muscles are all loose then and it helps them to get everything back in to place easier and it often feels nicer to the horses because the muscles arent working against it. Its especially nice with horses Who are sensitive to the chiropractor or don't like it or Who go for the first time. It makes the experiance a little easier for them.

For stomach ulcers Omeprazole for a month and after I used Gastra-Fx in his grain (if you have it around in your area). My horse is now so calm.

My horse LOVES his chiro appointments. He can't get enough of it. Our horses have the same problem area, the neck!
the sacro illiac joint is/was the problem,the sacrum needs manipulating back into place it will also be twisted ,you can only get it back in straight from the back, as there is a groove it fits in front to back ,the horse will be stiff on one reign,hope this helps xx

Claire, you should do a video about what you feed Owen including if you are feeding him ulcer guard. There are tons of videos about people doing that but they just feed them, they don’t exactly tell why. There are a few vids but I didn’t know if you had a fav food or something else.

It’s like chiropractors for humans. It relieves pressure points and makes the horses less stiff
I think it’s so crazy you have to travel so far for chiro, guess we’re just lucky! massage and chiro certainly is a wonderful tool!
Long story short makes them feel very niiiiccceee lol. Physically. like all athletes they need alittle extra.

Ive had a bad experience with chiropractor's. One came to do some work on my mare charlie. I had ridden charlie on the sunday before her chiro appt. On the Wednesday she got chiro and the lady said that we could ride her, and she couldnt do jumping and she had signs of arthritis. Then on the saturday, 4 days after her appointment charlie was acting up, not being her normal calm self. The minute i put my butt in the saddle she started bucking. I ended up fracturing my hip because the churo gave us the wrong infomation. It now takes me a bit to get into the saddle since in so scared im going to get bucked offm
If she was showing signs of arthritis you should've asked a vet to come out and not ride your horse until you'd been given the all clear
i have a 13 year old cat who survived a car hit and i really want to find someone to adjust her, her back has hurt her ever since and is very sensitive to touch. now that shes getting old i notice her back legs getting stiff and i feel like its from the car hit. XO im in a small town and cant find anyone to adjust her

Oh my god I should get this done to my QH I’m not sure if it’s cause he’s ripped but he’s always so stiff and having a hard time turning to the Right cause this help with that issue?He can only do wide turns to the right. and Owen Looks great I’m sure it doesn’t feel great being pricked everywhere but after I’m sure it’s relieving to have all that pressure taken off. He looks gorgeous though can never get over how beautiful he is
