    Amazing drone footage.Beautiful. One thing, your Broad Haven clips are of Broad Haven South, not Broad Haven. That's a few miles from Haverfordwest. No mention of Marloes Sands ? It's amazing with the tide out as a beach. Amazing as a photography spot even more so when the tide is between.

    As someone from Pembrokeshire, I can confirm that these are some of the best places to go. However I would highly recommend Westfield pill near neyland or little Milford woods

    Hi Nick, great video and you got some great shots there. We are heading this way in a few weeks' time so I was going to bring along the Mavic Air 2. Did you have any issues filming here? Some of the places look really quiet with hardly anybody about.

      Hi mate, thanks so much 🙏
      I’m sure You will have an amazing time, a lot was filmed through lockdown and others just earlier mornings after camping in locations near by! Aslong as you follow the guidelines of not flying from built up areas or over people etc I’m sure you will be fine 👍

      @@nickgilltravels1763 thanks mate, really looking forward to the trip. We'll probably do the southern part near Tenby first and then the North west bit another day, although we are staying near Cardigan which is a bit of a drive away. At least sunset will be later then.

    I'll be in Scotland and England next year. Curious about drones in general. I've been part of the drone community in the states for over 10 years and I'm very familiar with rules/regulations and general etiquette here in the states. Just curious what it's like there? Is it worth even trying to travel with my drone? DJI Mini 3 Pro is the one I would bring for obvious reasons. I would hate to go through the hassle of bringing it and then not even get to use it that much. Obviously I see drone videos all the time from the UK so it can't be that bad. I've done a little research on the CAA but any suggestions or general info from someone that actually flies would be appreciated!

    • @davidm1984
      @davidm1984 Рік тому

      Hi. With the mini 3 pro you would need to register an operator ID with the CAA and display that on the drone itself. Once you’ve done that I would recommend using the drone assist app to check restricted air space but outside of those areas you can fly pretty much anywhere with that drone. The CAA rules on VLOS would apply but as long as you take a common sense approach and you’re not flying directly over a dense crowd of people you’re ok (with a crowd of people defined as so dense that they wouldn’t be able to move out of the way of a drone falling out of the sky, so unless you’re planning on flying over the Glastonbury festival crowd you should be fine).

      @theonlysjc Рік тому

      @@davidm1984 Yes, I remember reading that on the CAA website. I will for sure have all the paper work done before hand. CAA seems to be very similar to FAA here. I have no intentions of flying in a setting where there will be any kind of crowd below me so I should be fine there. I have a few apps I use and the Drone Assist app is one of them. A little confusing with their notifications in the northern areas of Scotland but I'm going to keep looking into it so I can understand it completely before I come. I still have a while (late May of 2024) so the rules may even change some before I get there. Thanks for the reply!
