- Deer Valley Trail from Hermit Valley Campground is a 6.5 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Markleeville, California that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for camping and ohv/off road driving. This trail can be ran in either direction, however the Hermit Valley campground entrance, off Hwy 4, will be slightly more challenging due to the rocky up hill climbs.

Great video. Just did this yesterday from hermit valley campground on the gladiator with 2.5" and 37" KO2. Did just fine. What a gorgeous trail. I have VKS sliders. They definitely got used. Saw a GMC canyon coming the other way. No idea how they made it.
Wow great shots and interesting music. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. It’s a fun trail if you have a long weekend, you can do strawberry, Deer Valley, and Slick rock.
Great video dude! I wish I could've made it. Hoping I can go out with you guys next time! 🤙🏻
We have a Barrett Lake trip planned for the end of the month with a night of camping
Can’t wait to do this trail. We are going from the 88 side in a few weeks. Looks like fun.
It's a really fun trail. If you can go during the week I would suggest that. It was just really busy when we ran it last Saturday.
Another awesome wheelin! Looks fun man. Heck yeah!
Thank you, its a really fun trail.
Nice edit buddy! Can’t wait to get back up there, been building my wife Jeep, probably run through corral hollow and do some camping! Cheers!
Thank you. Its not the hardest trail out there, but its a lot of fun, and if you like camping then there is plenty of that at the trail head on either side as well as along the trail. I would suggest going during the week though. It was really busy when we went on Saturday.
Awesome video again buddy
Thank you for your support.
you guys have some really nice trails out that way. Too bad i didnt hook up with you all in my short time up in Reno. would of loved to hit this. poor lil tree lol looks like it made it ok.
Thats one of the nice things about this area, all the fun trails. Let me know if you make it back out this way anytime soon. I would be happy to do a trail with yall. I'm still not sure what happened to put him into the tree like that. My only guess was that a rock shifted and he slid that way. We were able to winch him to the side and it looked like there wasn't any serious damage to the tree.
Nice Trails!! Sigh- I'm stuck int he bayou in New Orleans and can only dream of getting my Jeep all the way to Cali. Just not enough time to drive that distance. I'm on 2.5" and 35's in JKr- feel like another inch would be beneficial on some of those obstacles.
Cheers!
watching that blue jeep is a little tough though...
Yeah everybody in the video is on a 3.5” lift with 35s or 37s. Every inch matters when you’re out on a trail. That blue Jeep just sends it down the trail. He is on stock gears with a 2.72:1 transfer case and open diffs. He has to keep more speed just to keep going. He is also a manual transmission. There are some nice parks in Arkansas apparently. I know that probably a long drive, but it’s closer than California.
If your in a two door 35s should be sufficient. 37s are even better though
Nice video!
Thank you.
Hi
Hello
Hey Matt, We were the group in front of you at Gate Keeper and I was the guy in the White LJ at the back of the pack with my buddy in the 1983 CJ5 (Maroon). Did you guys happen to find a White (water) ROTOPAK with a spout. It fell off my Jeep on the trail. If so let me know. Hit me up on FB. Steven Lujan.
It was nice meeting yall out on the trail. Unfortunately we didn't see a rotopack at all. The trail was so busy, so its likely that another group found it and picked it up.
