In 1978 I drove our brand new Subaru 4x4 wagon from Quincy to Gibsonville and on to La Port . But we did not attempt the route to Poker Flat as we had no second vehicle , no low range and inadequate ground clearance. I have a Jeep now and need to go up and do it!
Beautiful country up there, you won't be disappointed. Probably a few more people on the road since '78. Not going to lie, I miss the uncrowded foothills of my youth.
Looks like a great trail! Always cool to check out the old gold rush history sites. Well done on your Tire placement on that last creek crossing!
So much history out there! Through the magic of editing, I made it right through that obstacle without 50 prior attempts .

Is that last stretch, cty rd 800 full size friendly?
Yes, I think so. There are a couple narrow spots that you might have to deal with some brush, but I'd attempt it in a full size.
Thanks, looking at a 2-3 day trip coming up and would like to include this as a portion of it. How much time did you spend on the road here?
You think I could do this on ram 1500, or is it too big?
