How To: Gauge Relocation & Top Tree Install on a Harley-Davidson Road Glide ST!

- Today we are going to show you how to install our top tree, gauge relocation, and bar setup on your Harley-Davidson Road Glide. We start off with a stock 2022 Road Glide ST and walk you through what it takes to install these parts and clean up your wiring. Ditch those stock wheel barrow bars and check out our performance set up. Guaranteed to take your Road Glide to the next level!
This setup will work on 2014 - 2022 Harley Davidson Road Glide Models. Please note with the CVO flash also known as keyless entry, you will still need to have your key fob to start the bike. For security when you park your bike you can lock your forks and make sure to take your key fob with you and no one will be able to start your bike.

I always use a tiny bit of dielectric grease on every connection so if water ever did work its way into a connector it wont corrode or short anything😊❤

Hi, the bike looks fantastic with the new handlebar. Do you know the measurements of the holes for the cables on switches and the hole in the middle of the handlebar?

Guage pod does not include the mounting bracket that will run you another 2 bills
awesome video.. helped me decide which setup to get now.. Thrashin all the way.. Question: I'm 5' 8" thinking about smaller risers like the 6.5 pullback with mid height bars. Any concerns with this setup?
What does it mean that “the bike is flashed” in regards to the lock wire?
Are you able to measure the distance from the tank to the bars , I can see how I can use the gas cap as a reference point but I’d like to know the hight.

What’s highest you can go with riser and bars? I’m tall 6’4 and find 16 inch and over comfy for me.
I’ve been wondering this myself. I run 16 apes as well as a lepera a daddy long leg seat to be comfortable. Im curious with the 9.5 risers and bars on this setup what the height is comparable to apes.
What happend to the ignition switch? Is it gone?

Our bars do accept heated grips. Lance has the stock Harley OEM heated grips on his CVO bagger with Our bars.

Love it! My bars and risers get here Tuesday I can't wait! Can you guys confirm what height you need to extend the clutch cable on the 21+ bikes? I read anything over 12" it needs to be extended but this setup is at 13.5" correct??
this is a 22 bike and didnt need the extended cables so I am guessing the info you have been given isnt correct.
I have 16 road glide ultra and I have ordered the exact same setup in this video. I wonder if I need extended clutch/brake cables etc, have u installed yours? please let me know thanks.

Questions? I am thinking about adding this bar setup on my 2020 road glide limited. I would like to go with the 14.5" setup, is there a need to swap out the brake and Hydraulic clutch lines with longer ones? i have the 14" KST spearheads on the bike now and did not need to replace these lines. Question 2- what will need to be done with the accessory switches i have on my bike? i have a switch on my gauge nacelle for running lights. Is there an option for those of us with these factory switches? Love your products, i installed your 9.5" pullbacks and your footboards on my Lowrider ST.

Follow up comment. As I have this bike, and I have been stepping through the process considering going with this solution, I had a couple additional questions. What riser did you use on the ST? Looks like the 9.5 riser but you did not state that in the video that I recall, and what size wire looms did you use to clean it all up? Looked very nice once done. Thanks 👍
On the Lowrider st we did not use wire looms. On the road slide st we did, we supply it with the gauge relocation

Do you still need to carry the FOB after enabling the keyless ignition ?
Yes you do
Do the Dakota digital gauges fit in the gauge housing?
Tesa tape would look cleaner and not as sticky as electrical tape
What torque wrench do you use?
so if you end up taking off the plastic nacelle with the ignition switch on it, you wouldn't have to purchase the riser adapter since you can bolt the riser right to the tree (whether its stock or the Thrashin one) yeah?
Correct. Just stock ones not pretty and only has 1 location to mount risers. And highly recommended to do solid mount bushings, definitely don’t use the stock bushings.

Hey there, if the top tree does not require bushings, is there a notable difference in vibrations back to the grips? No bushings do mean no wiggle ever, so that is a Pro for sure.
We have noticed that there is less oscillation of the handlebars since there is no play. In terms of vibration, we have not noticed a significant increase in vibration while going to our solid set up, we have many of customers currently running it with no issues 🤘🏻

Hey Zach, hard to compare without knowing bike model and height model we are comparing. But you can usually expect a more aggressive and controlled feel with a bar set up like in this video. Feel free to give us a call 818-626-8350

What grip glue do you recommend for installing your grips?
I have personally used a very small amount of pro taper grip glue. Some guys like windex, some use spray paint, some use most motocross grip glue. But use a lite amount, cause they are thin grips
Juan do u always work on bikes so slow in the canyons?
I honestly try not to work on bikes in the canyons.

Harley states they do not do this! 3 different Harley I have called in NY and CT and all state they don’t do keyless ignition
I know this is old but maybe can help someone else. I believe you tell them you want to flash for Ignition delete or maybe can be simple and say you want it to start like a CVO. I had it done before I picked my RG up. So stupid to have to turn on first. Any dealer should be able to do it. If they don't know then no way in hell let them ever touch your bike.
For all the money Harley want for a bike... There should be no plastic pieces....I dgaf...
