I was a laborer there while it was being built. The way the floor was done and the paint applied was amazing.. it was all done by hand! I have pics while it was being done also of both inside and outside of facility.
I was just there during Christmas break, I got the chance to meet Shannon and I took a picture with him. The Womble is one of the holy grails of Texas Tech Sports for sure!
West Texas oil money is starting to flow in. It ain't just A&M and Texas anymore. UH also upgraded a ton. Beautiful facilities. Truth be told, the new Big 12 will be on par with the ACC in terms of a basketball confrence. Legit programs are coming in, and with BYU, Cincy, UH. Top to bottom, it's a solid basketball confrence.
