You look like you're an avid shmup player, going by the videos on your channel. You may have seen the rest of his videos to see something that raises flags, and you have played Battle Garrega (which I can't say myself), but going off of what you say, that rly isn't enough proof to label this a fake/ TAS run.
Now, I don't know what the menu options say at the beginning cause they're japanese, but I saw 2 options being chged. Hard and BIG RED bullets. Correct me if i'm wrong, but arcade mode is where the rank fluctuates and Hard is probably where the rank is stable at max. Usually, a TAS run would speed through these options with impeccable percision and speed, which ain't the case here.
His gameplay looks more like he's practiced doing this run several times. He does look like he devised a strategy to control where he wants the bullet patterns to go when homed in on him, so he can make an opening to get through them. He's also using his satellites to take out the guns he's being shot by while doging frantically (the blue cockpit window on the ship is the only small hitbox, which lets a player slip through tight bullet patterns).
Hope you also noticed that he accumilates bombs and hardly even uses them until the right opportunity arises like at 21:25. No way anybody is getting through this rain of bullets without a bomb.

Renegaiden He has abosoluely not routed this game, everything is done flailing without rhyme or reason to why it’s being done. As you said I’ve played Garegga and I can say with certainty that this is a cheated run without any type of route or practice behind it.
The part you timestamped is definitely possible to nobomb albeit very very tough, but since he has no route for this section and doesnt know what hes doing he gets himself into an impossible situation.

I'm willing to bet that before 21:25, this was also meant to be a no-bomb run but he died so many times he just game up and started spamming bombs. (nowhere near the mini-boss lol)

The OP should be more honest and transparent about using TAS. Even respectable WR holders of this game don't and can't do a 1LC. Don't think it's even possible. The whole game is designed around suiciding, bombing, scoring and milking, but suiciding is a MAJOR aspect of this game. 1LC? This guy has no clue.

@LittleBigKid707b There is another no miss video on channel Toarcade. I don't know how legit is it (maybe lower difficulty or something) but it still looks more legit than this (the player doesn't pick up score items and most of bomb fragments, sometimes doesn't shoot, so at least they know how to play).

@tehteh9893 the video you are referring to might be more legit than this run but I still don't believe a one life clear as possible. There are a few record holders in Japan for this game that have never done a one life clear and these are people that have been playing the game since it came out in the 90s they have mastered the ins and outs of this game and dissected it for the last 30 or so years they still have never done a 1 Life clear to put in perspective
