I keep telling the relatives in my family, especially the younger ones, that America is not the proper place to have a black family or raise children. It's ok to have a job and make a living and the individual freedom is great. But for our black men, women and children as soon as they step out that door and into society it's an emotional and psychological hellhole. It's devastating to the mind, body and soul. How sad that by the age of 18,so many of the spirits of our children are broken despite the best efforts of many of their family members to love, comfort and support them.Because we are such a strong people, the psychological toll occurs much later in our 40s&50s.I am 64 yrs old now with no children but I can't tell you how many black men my age and younger are so beaten down and worn out.I keep my sanity by helping others wherever I can.My father had the remarkable foresight, being a career military man,to bring his 3 children along while on furlough to visit various countries around the world.Japan, cambodia, senegal, ghana,Cameroon and Mexico just to name a few.Live someplace where you think you be will be happy, loved and respected,he said to us 3.Sometimes it's not always about the money,he said.So when some family members challenge me as to where else we can raise our children, I tell them moving forward we better find out.It has to be a gradual thing to test the waters outside the Usa.Other groups have that option. Why shouldn't we.Gradually rebuild the bridge back to the continent.I have said for 40 yrs that the hate culture that has existed in America for centuries will always rear its ugly head during times of economic anxiety and decline. At some point it will be permanent and trust me those groups who have been despised for centuries in America will be the first casualties. If you look at history, genocide happens in stages sometimes the spark ignited a century before the actual event.Trust me brothers&sisters, there is a reason why the Jewish people worked hard to create the state of Israel as well as strengthen their presence in America and the rest of the world to thus prevent another holocaust. As African-Americans if we want the world to take notice and take us seriously we had better do the same.
America is taught to be the answer to many things. But once you get here you're not free. Its too expensive to live so you have to work work work rather than enjoy life.
I’m just so happy for him. Like I can literally feel the joy in his heart. Moved to Ghana myself and farming on a very large scale of land. Be BRAVE! Dare something in life! God is good!🥰🥰🥰
These are the sorts of people that locals in Ghana and on the continent tend to like and are happy to work and live with. People who return to add some value to the community they settle in and the economy of Ghana and Africa. They do the right things and abide by local laws. These are the people Ghana is calling out for. You'll get your citizenship and land in no time. God grant you more years, Grandpa. Thanks for sharing this Wode.🙂
Thank you for this video MAYA!! I hope you interview me one day, soon. I try to share your channel as much as possible ,so that our Black African Americans know what we are missing! VIA LA AFRICA, ITS LIFE ......
Love this video! We blacks in the West and in the Caribbean was definitely bamboozled! Many of us hated to be associated with Africa because of what western media portrayed to us on TV from we was young. But it is really up to us to give back to Africa. Just like we built up the white man country's why not build up Africa and the Caribbean. It can be done when we know and overstand who we truly are and work together.
I hope people check on him. Looks great for a person that perfers solitude like myself. However, as you mature you need a support system and access to first responders (medical, fire, police...) in case of emergency. This was made clear when the extension of his home burned down. If he never takes a wife, I would say he at least needs an assistant.
We thank the people that are coming back home, it gives us hope that we can be much more better than we are. Most of all , thank you for showing us how they are coming back!
This is two brothers benefit from each other or two human beings where neither of them sees down the other . You get the European all thier journalism is about putting others down or asking you nonsense questions. I can not see these people they are so fucked I am glad that I am somali that we threw them away forever . You know that you are dealing with good real people when the western world talks bad about them . Whoever they say is bad is in fact a good person -one rule or someone that's just minding his business.
WODE MAYA! You’re doing an excellent job of showing BLACK people of the diaspora how much better life can be in Africa. I’m planning on buying me a house there and start my own legacy in the home of my ancestors. I had narrowed it down to Ghana, The Gambia, or Senegal but you keep making my choice harder to pick! Every country is nice and I could potentially live in any one of them. Just wanted to let you know that I’m telling everybody I know to check your videos out. Great job on showing Africa as it really is. I’m from USA, Georgia about 30 minutes east of Atlanta but I’m coming Bro!!!!
Blessings and peace to the brother’s and sisters. Keep a positive attitude! Mama Africa wants her kids back home! Feeling super inspired right now! Bless up! Build up your self and stay empowered !
So happy and touched to see so many African Americans returning to the motherland. For us Chinese it is the same. We can return to the mainland if we chose to. In this case, considering the oppression the Blacks are facing in the US, it is better to return to Africa. The future will be Africa. Growth and opportunities is in abundance. Keep up sharing with us the great videos Wode Maya.
I feel so proud as an African when I see such stories, and long may we continue to welcome home our Elders and our Brothers and Sisters. Knowing what goes on in the West to us as black people and minorities, it is very warming to see them living their best life in a space where they don’t feel any form of unnecessary pressures. But also the potential and knowledge combination between the locals and the Diasporas is something that will be of great value to the continent. Welcome I have seen some even move to my Home Tanzania 🇹🇿 and its truly amazing 🙏🏾

Much respect for Ghana. When many African countries fight to attract westerners. Ghanaians welcome black people to live and be part of the community and bring new ideas.
Yeah GHANA
Ghana people love black people

Well actually IMO the issue not about attracting Africans or westerners. It is about creating a safe environment for people to live in and invest. That way only can we attract people to Africa and change their biased representations of Africa.

Why do you come watch these video..? Why you even here
Everytime I go to Africa, I feel like home and free. Everytime I go back home in America, I feel stressed, worried, and ready to defend myself.
@E. J.... I know. I haven’t been there for 12 years thought
Than move yo ass back.
America is taught to be the answer to many things. But once you get here you're not free. Its too expensive to live so you have to work work work rather than enjoy life.
@@irvxing Feel free to leave buddy. Nobody is forcing you to stay.
