Apart from the beauty of this song, this man's story writing is splendid. Listen to where and how the story begins and how it ends. The wicked twist of suspense will keep you glued to the end. Love you Nana😇
This is the signature tune of Nana Kwame Ampadu. He and his genre made life worth living in Ghana irrespective of one's social and economic status, because everyone shared the dancefloor irrespective of one's status. Well done Philosopher Nana Kwame Ampadu.
Kwadwo Akwaboah on keyboard...wonderful rendition...Paa Akrashie and co on horns... Agya Osae doing really good on guitar. Good story-line...but the beat-pace slows down a little in the middle...sure, the opening intro had a marvelous canter which made it very danceable right from the start but could not be sustained in the middle
Alhaji, no, no, no, no! I have never even met Nana Ampadu one-on-one, even though I watched at least 6 of his shows at Royal Cinema, Korle Wokon, and once at Ahenfie in Takoradi. But I have been electrified by his music since 1967 and listened to whatever he churned out since that year, and watched several appearances of the African Brothers Band on TV since 1970. I literally followed African Brothers songs, news, personnel, and radio critics (Mike Eghan, Carl Agyeman Bannerman etc) and radio fanatics (Ampadu Boateng, Freddie Quaicoo) like I was reading a textbook over a period of more than 30 years. I was at the Royal Cinema at one of Ampadu's shows in 1993, when Ampadu announced that it was time for African Brothers to bow out. Even so, I continued to follow his music and solo performances until 1998. My real name is Moses Arthur and I wrote an article on the internet (Nana Ampadu My Icon) somewhere in 2006. You may want to check it out.
