- This week, Maggie is joined by someone we all know and love. He’s your favorite fake TV psychic, but this week he’s just himself. James Roday Rodriguez joins Maggie in the studio to talk about his me time, which involves lots of fantasy football, his three pups, vodka, and a specific type of puppetry that only James can describe.

My partner and I watch the entire series + movies every two years. We always say it's like having old friends around. =) We also started to celebrate two Psych holidays - the day the series first aired, and the date of Dual Spires airing so that we can have an excuse to make cinnamon pie. lmao (google for recipe we use: The Holy Grail of Cinnamon Pies: 'Psych' edition)
Maggie Lawson makes a great podcaster. She’s got a great cadence and such a lovely rapport with her guests.
I'm so glad that they were able to stay friends 😭 I loved them so much as partners and collaborators bc I grew up watching the show and following their public journey together as creatives. I'm so glad they were able to get through their breakup and be friends bc I love the cast sm and it's clear it's all love 😭
After Psych being uploaded to Netflix UK, I fell in love with the whole cast again. And with Maggie and James as a couple. I was a bit sad when I looked up that you guys were no longer together… wait for iiiiit… I’m really happy to see that you’re both clearly very comfortable with each other and seem to be great friends.

"I've heard it both ways". I use that quote more than I should :) I've rewatched the original Psych series a few times. And now I've just watched the Psych movie on Peacock. Very cool that they managed to keep the original cast.
Luckily they did get everybody because the guy that played Lassiter had a major stroke and is luckily to be alive.
So enjoy your friendship and your respect for one another.
I wish these two would get back together! They seem so respectful, happy, relaxed, comfortable, and in-sync with one another.

Great job Maggie! So love the honesty of you two. Love "Psych" for all the laughter and joy it still brings to me and so many. In "A Million Little Things," James really brought the laughter and tears, sometimes at the same time. Love him and his "incomparable partner" and their menagerie of of dogs. So glad he is happy, he deserves it, he is just one amazing dude.
his partner is allison miller who played maggie on a million little things. and also she and her husband split when she met james and started that show too
@@tracyskellington I referred to James' partner using the term he used "incomparable". I know who it is, but he prefers to keep his current relationship private, and I respect that. I don't think it is up to fans to speculate on his private life.

I love seeing you guys together you click so well, and you can see the love and compassion you have for each other. it's funny it kind of seems you miss each other. I wish you guys were in more project together like a hall mark charismas story. of course, playing love interest. or another sit come ware you guys play a couple. you just work really well together the chemistry is off the charts. I think you guys should do more things together as friends. it is very rare to see people that have been in a long-term relationship become what you already were best friends. the love and loyalty you guys have as friends is what people dream of in real relationships. cannot wait for more psych movies.
Totally get what hes talking about with dogs, they are amazing and work much better then any drug for anxiety.

James you are my favorite actor ever and you are great as well Maggie me and my mom watch two episodes of Psych every night we have my family has at least watched all seasons and movies and the musical of Psych 5 times or more Shawn and Gus make me happy so I thank you for that also I am considering getting a blue berry for myself if you guys know if I can buy the actual blue berry pls let me know I will put every penny I have into it not to get to personal but are you still married if you don’t want to say that is totally fine also I think you should keep making Psych as a series but just call it Psychfransisco like what the new office is called also tell Steve Franks I need to know what Lassie’s daughter looks like

Okay What I don't understand is how James can support or even be okay with his beautiful girlfriend at the time Maggie to got to eyes wide shut parties without him, and why would she want to go to those parties they can destroy relationships, promote orgies, drugs and sex and start unhealthy habits. I can understand me time. but going to places all the time by yourself and not taking the time to go places with your partner and recharging by being with each other and enjoying each other's company. what it sounds like is that Maggie spent most of her time away from James no wonder their relationship fell apart. I understand having a good time but why would you put yourself in such problematic situations. there are normal parties' celebrities can have that are healthy. And James is so addicted to fantasy football., I would never choose an addiction over my girlfriend/fiancée. I would encourage her to do positive things some alone but also a lot together. Alone time consists of time alone to collect your thoughts, sleeping is designed to download previous day information to long term memory, to allow new information the next day. many people really wanted You and James to work, there was so much love and chemistry but if you guys never took the time to developed and protect that love then there would always be a leak. I think that the reason that you and James were able to share custody of your animals is because even though it sounds like you guys had it rough during your breakup its Truley came down to the love you guys really had for each other and compassion for each other. when James mentioned the time, you text him to spend time with your pup, I believe that it was him knowing you and his love and compassion for you that allowed it to happen. I as a person that loves you both but more Maggie, hoped you guys could have overcome and worked out your problems and been together forever. I wish you guys were together now, you are best friends, and you can tell there is still love there. you both seem to have grown a lot over the years and maybe know it could work. I just have to say that letting a woman like you (Maggie) get away was one of the biggest mistakes James ever made. I am supper happy you guys are so close and really good friends today, and at least I have psych the series and movies to see you guys together. I do believe you guys are soul mates that had a bump in the road and belong with each other and pray every day that you guys find one another on that level again and live happy ever after. one more thing a majority of people with bad breakup never talk to each other again especially when there is nothing tying them together like kids, I believe your dog's kept your bond strong and you both are lucky to have each other in your lives.
I grew up watching you guys 🫶🏽 Psych gave me a good chunk of my personality. Maggie if I could ever talk with you some day that would be a dream come true 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
