  • The last time we got the Peugeot 5008, the run we had in Genting was not great, as there was heavy traffic. So this time it is a 'revenge' drive of sorts, so keep a lookout for that video.
For today, it is a fuel consumption test along Petaling Jaya roads, including the NKVE, Elite, and even Jalan Puchong where we got stuck in heavy traffic.
As usual, we just did what we always do - drive according to the traffic around us, and use a light foot on the accelerator.
For your information, we also sell Peugeot through our channel, so you can book this vehicle through us should you need one.

I lived in Malaysia for 3 years and I miss this country, people, food and roads so much. IOI puchong was our every weekend destination from Cyberjaya. Love you Malaysia.

I'm very impressed with the fuel consumption. A recent CNY trip from my hometown back to Penang.
2 Adults with 3 kids with almost full car boot with luggage & begs. Travel from Muar with full tank to KL (with 30 mins highway jam), driving around KL, second day back to Penang (with 30 mins highway jam), and reach Penang's Bayan Lepas with the balance of 1/4 ++ of petrol.

Thanks uncle for the awesome fuel consumption video!
This seems to be more like highway drive instead of mixed because most of the time or almost all the time its driven in highway although not always in 90-110km/h kind of speed. For mixed driving condition, I would suggest uncle to go from/to IOI Mall and Mid Valley via old klang road, there are tons of traffic lights. I tested with a Myvi from 18+km/L from the similar route you had taken can easily drop below 12km/L when passing those traffic lights.

after own this Lion almost 3 months, i would say, when come to city drive, i think a full tank about 55L for me will last about 400km plus minus only. this is similar to my previous Kia cerato, with 10L lesser with similar distance. also 1.6L therefore i think the additional fuel consumption is to support the additional weight if compare to Cerato. also, when i did more heavy highway driving with always try to keep below 3k RPM, i manage to get around 550km. i think if not because of some little jam or long wait red light, i think to get more than 600km is possible. 100% highway with no jam, to hit 700km is possible. hence, very fuel economy to me if we are driving more highway

Yes, the consumption varies with road condition, traffic condition, ambient temperature and drivinf style. We try to maintain a similar driving style with all our testing

In Singapore it is the same engine as the 3008 - a 1.2L 3cyl turbo with 8speed
The same engine/transmission is also found in the new Opel Mokka..
