Reynold Poernomo adalah peserta masterchef Australia yang berasal dari Indonesia yang juga merupakan adik dari juri masterchef Indonesia Arnold Poernomo.
Ia mengikuti ajang masterchef Australia season 12 edisi spesial yang bertajuk "back to win" yang berisi peserta-peserta top 12 dari season-season sebelumnya yang sudah sangat berpengalaman dan banyak yang telah membuka restorannya sendiri. Reynold sendiri sebelumnya merupakan peringkat 4 di season ke-7 yang setelahnya membuka dessert bar KOI di Sydney, Australia.

Not Really, He probably left everybody in the dust in terms of Dessert but when savory components kick in, he probably lacks a bit compared to many previous contestants that have come up to top 4.

Reynold: the EMPEROR of desserts.
The way he takes his dishes that would normally take more than 2 hrs to do alone and condense it into an hour or so is so risky yet he delivers on it every single time with the most beautiful dishes
Sometimes, one one of the elements are supposed to take 2 hours.....and then he does that and like 6-7 more elements with it in 75 minutes....He's a bloody magician 😂

Just like Dino in MasterChef US season8, his counter is also organize and clean. I think that's how it reflect one's dish.

Reynolds is a very good dessert 🍨 cook and on Master Chef 👨🍳 Australia he made some fantastic desserts and now he owns is own restaurant I would very much like to visit Reynolds restaurant but it will cost me a lot of money to fly out to Australia 🇦🇺.

He didn't win, but has as n extremely successful dessert bar in Australia called koi, I believe. I looked at the website last year and couldn't believe all to the beautiful desserts.

You know when you fight the 1st boss??? He´s like the chef serving appetizers. then the 2nd boss, the chef who serves the side. Now you got the 3rd boss, the one that does the main dish, he is ALMOST as hard as the main boss/chef(aka Reynold) the chef that serves Desserts and tie the WHOLE meal/ story together.

I don’t understand how he hasn’t won a season
Its quite simple, hes a grandmaster at desserts/pastries but lacks that same mastery in any other field. Given the nature of Masterchef and cooking competitions in general, it favors the Jack of all trades over the Master of one.
Of course, if you ask me, I would 100000% rather be an absolute master of one particular trade rather than be decent at a bunch. This is why the fact Reynolds "lost" is completely irrelevant, as that decision has no bearing on his unparalleled talent as a pastry chef. But at the same time, it annoys me when I see fans accusing the judges of bias or even disrespecting/mocking their credibility as chefs, all because their favorite handsome Reynolds didnt win a cooking show. Like I get it, I'm a reynolds fan too and I love everything about him, but in pure objectivity I completely understand why Reynold lost, and I would never accuse/mock the judges for that.
