"This is totally normal, there are thousands of other flights happening right now at this moment, and other people going through the same, and they're going to be okay." - This did it for me
Oh Ingrid I loved this so much. I'm in the exact same boat with travelling. I freak out about being in new places so I loved this, I think it will really help so many of your viewers. Also, it was so prettttyyyyyy. Good job on all the things :) xxx
what helped for me was the repeat to myself to 'stay in the moment' because i found my anxiety was usually based in worrying about what might happen rather than based in the now.
same here guys! great to see people struggle with the same fears I have always had :) each time you will be travelling, think about the other guys who struggle just the way you do, we are not alone! take care
I LOVE traveling. Being on an airplane is one of my favorite experiences because it truly allows you to have a new perspective on things. While it may not be the most relaxing or comfortable activity, I use it as time to think about my life and to wonder. Flying in an airplane makes you realize how small and insignificant you are and how small your problems actually are--and how greatful you should be of what you do have or what you have had. Just being able to fly is such a priviledge and an experience that is one of a kind. For most people, it's different and not something that you would normally do. Traveling takes you out of your comfort zone and into new places. It's almost as if you pressed pause on your life and now you are finally able to stop and live in the present. You also have time to reflect on who you are/who you want to be and where you're going (as a person and location wise). Don't ever let your mind stop you from doing anything that you want to do!
Hi Ingrid... I am a fearful flier also. And I'm a very spiritual person. So I wear my Catholic scapular or my St Christopher medal ( patron St of Travelers) and as we take off I say a prayer blessing the pilot & the crew & their families. This calms me. This was a lovely & very helpful video. I usually also do a crossword puzzle onboard. I bring one from the USA Today , as it always includes a Sudoku on the same page too. I learned you can't count on having a blank puzzle in the inflight magazine! For longer or international flights I always hope they have a movie I've been wanting to see & this easily distracts me for a couple of hrs too! Thanks Ingrid!
I would have NEVER guessed that you suffer from anxiety. You exude so much happiness and confidence; almost like nothing could bother you. In a way it's kind of refreshing to see someone like you goes through this too. This has definitely encouraged me to do more traveling as there are TONS of places I want to go visit. Thanks for sharing!
This was more than helpful. It was life changing. I was just crying and dreading my trip that I'm going on, to Nashville, and I was so scared and terrified to leave my room. I'm so much more relaxed now. Thank you so much.
I feel that way on road trips but I absolutely dread the preparation and ride on the airplane I just want to get to the destination as quick as possible
Fatima .N I went on my first trip on my own last summer and I was 20 :o If you're underage you will get a lot more help from the people around the airport because you're a minor! No need to worry, and I hope you have a safe and fun trip!
Me too I'm going to France and Italy without family in March I'll be 16 by then. I'm kinda scared because I don't know Italian and I'm pretty bad with French
I had super anxiety to fly....until I took my adult kids to the UK. I knew it was a once in a lifetime experience. I got medication from my doctor. It was a non-stop from LAX to Heathrow. I only took one pill the whole time. Now?.....I want to travel every where. It was taking that first step. I even went on the London Eye and I swore I'd never do that. SInce that trip I've zip lined, hiked in serious mountainous regions of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and have climbed to the top of many things. It's all about taking a chance. Just realize you're worth the experience. I'm 52 and didn't realize this till a couple years ago. Ladies? You can do this. Take it while you're young! :-D
Priya Sinha that was such a sweet comment! love seeing things like these! Sometimes when we ask people to help support our channels they respond negatively.
Celeste Angelica thanks a lot for noticing and acknowledging :-) Though I do not have a UA-cam channel, I sure can relate to this situation when we all need support and thankfully enough, God has always let me have the support I needed. So I feel I should return the favor and spread love and goodness in any way I can :-) :-)
I haven't flown in over 20 years, I'm 31. Today I'm going to Florida from Maine to see some friends I haven't seen in over 10 years! I'm so excited but so nervous!
The act of physically flying is actually one of my favourite things. Maybe because I've been flying since I was 3, but I just find it so wonderful! The longer the flight, the better. I'm naturally a very anxious person (hello there, anxiety disorder!) but few times I feel as relax as when I'm on a plane, bus, train, etc
I have anxiety, and it's weird because the only time I feel somewhat okay is when I am travelling. Obviously there is some things that still give me panic attacks like when you have to show your passport, going through security ect. but for the most part I feel calm inside. I've never met anybody who has the same feeling about that before. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
Yes! Totally! Me today going through security. Now I’m calmer, while waiting to board the plane because I know that everything will be okay and I will be home soon.
ANYBODY else feel ill just watching footage of people on planes? I'm scared to death of flying and i will probably never get over it. It's cool to see you work through your anxiety but i would rather never travel. I have a very pessimistic outlook on life, that probably limits me a lot, but i'm happy and i think thats what matter the most. I would love to travel to america but i could never get there :(
TheGlambitiousBeauty i love travelling but I always feel just a tiny bit nervous before getting on a plane. But I think what would be limiting you would be doing things that make you uncomfortable. So as long as you're feeling happy and safe that's what matters. You can always use trains and boats, too.
Monica P I was thinking of trying the eurostar to paris, i would rather be on a plane than a boat, if that gives you any indication of how much i don't like them. I think it also linked to my fear of the ocean.....
TheGlambitiousBeauty I literally felt the same way getting off my plane two days ago. I was crying when I landed and had multiple panic attacks before and during my flight. but I am SO glad to be here. I still have to travel home, but the thing is...I did it. Yes, it's scary and terrifying. But you can do it! You also have to think , traveling by boat or car (not possible but the idea) is also a lot longer than a plane. My 14 hour drive turned into a 2 hour flight. So it certainly has it's perks.
I get like that too. I'm going on holiday next week and i'm getting so wound up about it. I've been battling anxiety for around 10 years now and travelling is something that really triggers it. It sounds harsh but the only way to get past it is to just DO it. I often think "oh god i wish i just didn't have to go to this etc etc" but deep down i know that's just the anxiety talking, i actually have a huge fear of missing out. I also know people who have no desire to travel and are totally happy being where they are, if that's you, then do you, you're totally entitled to that, just because other people like it doesn't mean its what everyone should do. I hope one day if it's something you want to do, you can do it.
I've never necessarily had anxiety from flying since I started flying since I was 3 or 4 but I think what I'm most nervous about now that I'm older is flying alone. Honestly, my biggest fear is getting stopped at TSA for packing something wrong or missing my flight. This video was really relaxing!
Ingrid thank you so much for being so open about your fears, personal struggles etc. I relate to you so so much in various ways. My fear of turbulence is incredibly intense and your video has eased my mind so much. I met you at your meet up with Fleur at the grove back in 2013 and I had no clue how much I would be able to relate to you In the future! Just watched your coming out video and it made me sob. Thank you for being so brave and unapologetic for being yourself. Much love and I wish you all the happiness possible! Xoxo
Everyone seems to be misunderstanding the fact that having an anxiety disorder is different to saying you have anxiety over somethings. Everyone feels the emotion anxiety, it's when you're worried and feel uneasy about something. Stop acting so greatly offended because Ingrid used the correct term and said she has anxiety when flying. She did not say she has an anxiety disorder, don't put words in her mouth and then get angry with her over it.
What about travel anxiety in general? The past year I've been doing road trips with my Church group for youth summer camps and when we drive and get to the destination I have alot of anxiety. Being somewhere that's not home makes me physically sick (anxiety, stomach ache, loss of appetite, constipation..etc) what can I do about this? What can I do to calm my nerves and focus on how much fun I'm having instead of being out of my comfort zone?
I have the same thing. I can give you a few tips. Once I get wherever I'm going I never think about how I'm away from home, all you need to think about is how much fun you will have. Next take deep breathes. Make sure to take time to calm down. Let ppl help you too. I usually push ppl away when they are trying to help. Not saying that you do that but if you do I suggest that. :)
@brandon2932 Woah, I forgot I wrote this. I would say it's a lot better now. In 2020 I flew to Texas to visit a friend and I did just fine. After this comment, in 2017 I had severe physical anxiety but I overcame it with God. So, I believe I don't experience travel anxiety anymore because I overcame all anxiety in general.
@desireegomez9320 how did you do it? I was feeling physically sick while going through security at the airport. 😢 I hate this feeling. I just want it gone. 😭
@lisbetavila7061 I'm not sure If you believe in praying. But what helps me is praying that God gives me peace, calmness, and safety before traveling, helps me alot! The thing about anxiety is that it makes you hyper focus on how you feel. Find an outlet to get your mind off of the way you feel. I really hope this gets better for you. Will be praying you!
This video is really helpful, BUT, my anxiety is still saying "nooooo"! LOL Question; did security care that your camera was on when it went through the checkpoint?
Instead of a submarine, I think of a boat. Like imagine being on a boat. Close your eyes. The turbulence is just waves. It helps if you listen to a soundtrack of the sound of waves. That calms me down a lot.
Niphredil Agreed. I have a friend who is a submarine systems engineer for the Navy and they can absolutely plummet; maybe not as fast as a plane, but they can go down under water and crash at the bottom.
Ingrid, I really needed this video. It is so easy to feel alone with travel anxiety because it is such a common, day-to-day activity, but that fact that you experience it and many others do too, makes me not feel alone. Thank you for showing us that it is okay to not love flying and for all of the tips and tricks. Lots of love xo
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this video title! Last week I booked my flights from Canada all the way to Japan to visit my boyfriend, as he moved there a few months ago to teach english. I don't travel a lot at all, especially long distances like that. When I had to select my seats, this frantic anxiety came over me and hasn't left. Listening to your experience was so comforting, and opened my eyes that I am not alone in feeling this way. I will 100% be adding in your tips and tricks to my travel experience... you're absolutely wonderful and thank you so much for sharing this :)
this is probably the best video I've ever watched on UA-cam . I really thought no one else understood the anxiety I go through while traveling. At times I can't even enjoy when I've gotten to my destination because I'm worried about having to get back on a plane. I'm definitely going to try some of these coping mechanisms because there are so many places I plan on seeing, thanks for sharing !
This is very helpful I'll be leaving to New York in two days and my anxiety is over the roof already so thank you for this video and knowing I not the only one with anxiety .. xx
this was so nice to watch and to realize I'm not alone with my travel anxiety. it's to the point where the days leading up to my flight I will have panic attacks about traveling and going somewhere unknown and the entire journey. these tips are definitely going to be so helpful to keep calm and release the airport anxiety I usually feel
Your advice 'imagine youre in a submarine' is such a huge help! Now I know what to think of when flying as I always get scared during turbulence... This seems like such a good way to distract and calm myself! Plus youre soooo pretty! Love your videos!
I NEEDED THIS! I recently took a job as a tour guide in Washington DC, and with that comes LOTS of travel to the city, through the city, and from the city. Going from never being in an airport to flying BY MYSELF for the fist time was very stressful and nerve wracking. This video is exactly what I needed. As always, thank you Ingrid for everything! 😊
This video is so helpful. In about 2 weeks I'm going on a school trip to Washington DC and it's going to be my 2nd trip on a plane! I'm so scared, last time I had my mom with me so I felt better but I still have huge anxiety. Thanks for making this video so I don't break down on my school trip Love you Ingrid❤️❤️
Ingrid, I really appreciated this video. I've always had really bad anxiety on planes, to the point where I would sometimes have anxiety attacks during take off. It made me feel really pathetic. It's a huge comfort to know that I'm not the only one who goes through that. Im slowly getting better and better at it the more I fly, but I still have a ways to go.
haha honestly, the thought of being under water in a submarine freaks me out WAYY more :D I always imagine being a bird instead, so still flying but being the one in control of the movements :) that helps too
thank you so much Ingrid , I am embarking on my first abroad flight during my summer and I have to be on a plane for nine and a half hours and i'm already freaking out , but thanks to you I feel relaxed and a little bit more ready for what is to come , I am also flying with my granny and feel maybe she wouldn't understand what I might be going through but again this video has really helped me to feel confident and not be afraid of telling someone . you are an inspiration and I hope to see many more videos like this closer to my departure , great job on the video and congratulations on getting past and dealing with your fears and thank you once again for helping me and many others ! I will be doing everything you advised and will be looking my fear right in the eye and telling them to calm and relax :) thanks again x
I'm flying alone for my first time tomorrow, and take off terrifies me to the point where I am sweating and panicking. Any tips for traveling alone for the first time would be greatly appreciated! Love the video Ingrid!
This video and just the music was so soothing and helpful im in guatemala right now and i keep having major anxiety which i've never had a problem with before and just watching this helped me
Thank you for this Ingrid! I am going on holiday in a few days and am DREADING the flight. I feel sick just thinking about it. I have had anxiety since I was 7 but have only in the past 5 or 6 years been afraid of flying! I will try some of these tips. If anyone else has any recommendations I would love to hear them!
I recently came across your channel and subscribed. You are amazing! Hope by the time this comment is posted, 3.5 years later, you have conquered your travel anxiety. More power to you. Thank you for sharing!
ok I know I'm like 2 years late, but thank you so much for making this!!! I'm traveling to Washington soon and I have been feeling very anxious and I have low-key been wondering if I should leave a note for my loved ones in case I die on the trip LOL. After watching this, I feel a lot better and more prepared for my flight. Thank you!!!!
I'm really appreciative when you do anxiety videos. They really help me with my own anxiety. You help me feel like it is ok and that I'm not alone. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
This helped a lot! I've always been nervous to go fly, especially overseas!!! Most people just say "you're going to be fine" which usually doesn't make me feel any better, but I'm glad to see someone else who shares the same fears, and was able to overcome them. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable traveling, along with the whole vibe of this video. Thank you so much! xox
I love how honest and how real you are with us Ingrid. I find with a lot of beauty gurus and youtubers in general that the life they portray through the videos are made seem so edited and perfect to the viewers that we eventually come the think that the life you live is also perfect. I love how you really show your true side and aren't afraid to let us see your insecurities and fears, something that is usually so hard for anyone to do and you bare it without hesitation. Honestly Ingrid you are such an inspiration!
This is honestly so helpful, I totally thought I was alone so I would act like everything was fine when I'm flying. My tricks are to always be on time or ahead of time, that way you can't get anxious about being late or missing something!
The thing that calmed me down the most when I flew last year was watching the flight attendants going about their jobs. They made everything look so normal and it made me realize that this is their every-day-job.
I'm a flight attendant so this doesn't really apply to me :D but it was still interesting to see and maybe learn some tips to share with scared passengers (:
This helped so much :) I'm going on a trip next month without my parents, going the furthest away from home and I was getting nervous, but each time I watch it, it becomes easier and easier. Thank you!
I feel like there's so many UA-camrs out there "coming out " of the anxiety closet. It's getting hard to believe, especially when someone who's been on UA-cam for years NEVER mentions it then randomly makes a video about it. I have been a long time subscriber and supporter of Ingrid's. So I'm not hating I'm just stating my opinion.
I just wanted to say, thank you Ingrid. My first flight went well, because I followed your tips! I took my time in the security line and I did read a book, instructions and listened some music in the plane. It really calmed me down a lot. You made my flight amazing and a good memory, so I don't have to be scared to go on a flight again! Thank you! This video was (and is) a big help! x
There is a reason you have 3m subscribers. Your videos are always so well thought out and edited, but personal. always, SO GOOD, you really deserve your success
Maybe because UA-cam attracts people with anxiety because it's a non pressuring way to make money? And anxiety is clearly a lot more common than you think, so it isn't surprising that some youtubers have it
Maybe because no one was talking about it before, it shows how really common it is. Saying that i know some people don't really understand the difference between being nervous and having an anxiety disorder. I once watched a video of a guy claiming he was filming his panic attack and all he was actually doing was filming himself being nervous over a span of a few hours. It sends out the wrong sorts of messages, and also normalises anxiety disorder which then enables it. (I've been living with an anxiety disorder for 10 years now)
So? lots of people have anxiety for different reasons and these types of videos really help because its nice to hear advice from other people who are going through the same thing. Having anxiety isn't funny and its not something you should be making fun of.
Ria Osym There is a difference between having an anxiety disorder and experiencing anxiety. Everyone experiences anxiety over certain time periods or activities in their lives, whereas not everyone has an anxiety disorder. Ingrid, among other UA-camrs, has shared a particular way in which she experiences anxiety, and this experience is extremely common amongst travellers.
Anxiety is a genuine emotion everyone feels when frightened or worried over something. She is not claiming to have an anxiety disorder, she's saying she gets anxious on planes. Please educate yourself before commenting something like this.
You're such a beautiful person, I just adore you. Having to deal with anxiety is not something one takes lightly, and it's more common then I think people realize. My mom & I both have anxiety and it's never easy. This was helpful for so many people, thank you for inspiring millions of people to relax, breathe, and reflect. ♡♡♡
My fear when it comes to flying isn't that the plane will crash or anything, I just will get extremely claustrophobic. Like, the feeling of being trapped inside a big metal tube in the sky just freaks me out because I have nowhere to escape. It's funny because I've been flying my whole life and when I was a kid I used to love it. But now that I've experienced anxiety and panic disorder and agoraphobia I can barely make it through a flight without clinging onto someone's arm. :/ In a few cases I even fainted on planes because I got too freaked out. So now I'm afraid of that too, haha. Oh brain, why do you plague me so.
Ingrid, God put you on my path tonight. I suffer from travel anxiety and seeing your video gave me a sense of peace. I leave on Sunday for a business trip and this will be my first time flying alone. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I'm a girl from Europe who goes to school in the states so I travel quite a bit back and forth. I have always loved traveling and (almost) all that comes with it. However, this video was so incredibly calming to watch, and I actually got emotional and teary-eyed, but in a good way, if that makes sense! Thank you so much for tips that I didn't even think or know I needed. I've been subscribed to your channel a long, long time, but recently I've just been loving your videos more and more. You're beautiful xoxo
This was very helpful to me. I have very bad travel anxiety to and it feels good to hear someone else say they do to cause not many people I know or in my family deal with this. It's hard to feel like you're the only one who deals with it so thanks for making this video! I feel more confident about the next time I will be traveling.
Ingrid this was such a beautiful, calming and reassuring video. You put so much effort into it and the result was just perfect! I don't have any travel anxiety at all but I 100% believe that you have just helped so many people overcome their anxiety and fears. So many great and helpful tips! You should be very proud of this lovely video! Sending love from Australia x
I wish I would have seen this before yesterday.. I have travel anxiety as well, so I am very glad that you have shared this with us. First of all that I know that I am not alone and second of all, that I know what else I can do to calm myself down. Sometimes I get so anxious that I just forget to enjoy the fact that I am traveling and to enjoy al the amazing things I get to do. So thank you Ingrid, thank you a lot! xx Emma
Ingrid, this was SO helpful. I get really bad flight anxiety even though I fly fairly frequently. I often find people try to diminish my anxiety by just telling me to calm down and forget about it. It was refreshing to here someone speak to a lot of the same feelings I have when flying. I'm definitely going to try some of your tips when I fly again on Tuesday. As always, great video! Emily xx
Something that has helped me a lot is to watch all the planes taking off as you wait for yours by the gate. It's calming to see the normalcy and efficiency of the airlines, especially if you don't fly often. Since takeoff and landing are usually the worst parts for me, I always feel calmer once I see it done over and over without incident.
I just found this channel, and I just love your on screen personality! Traveling tomorrow and very anxious. It was so good to see that I'm not alone and that someone else prepares as much as possible to try to freak out less 😊
I first watched this video when I was going on my first plane ride in over 10 years (back in August 2015) and it really helped me. Now I travel by plane twice a year and every time before I leave, I watch this video. It's become part of the routine and it always calms me down. Thank you so much for this!
My mom has bad travel anxiety and I'm definitely going to show this video to her. And the next time we're on a plane, I'm gonna remind her of your tips! Love you and your videos, Ingrid!! ❤
Such a helpful video to everyone who deals with the annoyance of anxiety. Always so in love with the way you make your videos they are always so calming and beautifully edited x
This video gave me goosebumps and almost made me cry! Even though I don't have the WORST travel anxiety I get pretty nervous at certain parts of a plane ride and you hit all of those fears right on the head. I must say... I'll be watching this video over and over again the next time I travel. Thank you so much for addressing this issue and helping all of us cope with our anxieties.
This effects me so much more than I thought it would. Im travelling abroad for the first time ever later in the year, and its without family, and I started crying watching this. It reminded me how unprepared I am, and how scary international airports are. But these tips I feel will help me so much!
I have anxiety in school for a lot of reasons and I used this and transformed it to fit me. You don't only help people with travel anxiety, Ingrid! Sry 4 bad english, I am from Sweden.
Ingrid, i absolutely love such videos where you showcase not just the "beauty-talk" side of you but also the spiritual and innermost you! Please show more of such videos, love them. xoxo.
I hate this feeling of anxiety! It is stupid because I love travelling but a few days/weeks before I feel super nervous :/

Me too! I'm actually having kinda feelings of anxiety right now, and I'm going to be traveling today. Hopefully everything will be okay..

The quality of this video was incredible! I've suffered from anxiety since I was 7 and watching a video like this one makes me so happy! ❤️
***** Love you, too!
Adela great channel of yours!
I actually really enjoy packing for a trip and going on an airplane. Sometimes more than actually getting to the destination. Am I the only one?
amal khateeb me too :)
I feel that way on road trips but I absolutely dread the preparation and ride on the airplane I just want to get to the destination as quick as possible

I love packing and waking up early but hate the flight

I'm traveling to Europe for the first time and without my family (im only 15) in august and I'm so anxious but this definitely helps
Fatima .N good luck, i'm sure everythings going to be just fine BTW i'm 15 to :)
Jerry_1d thank you💕💕
No worries Fatima, you're going to be good. Just think of all the fun you're going to have:)
Love this. And it's filmed & edited beautifully.
Security/Check-In is the WORST part for me when travelling.
Holly Marie / Beauty & Lifestyle same, makes me feel uncomfortable but i'm fine after that
Holly Marie / Beauty & Lifestyle That's what sucks when you're in an airport.
Just the perfect video I needed before my 7 hour flight home from London tomorrow, helped tons! xoxo
Have a nice flight oh wait 6 years ago, well I hope your flight goes fine

OMG I am in love with this quote ❤
This was so well done Ingrid. The quality was incredible and this was so helpful!! :) Love you so much
by the way if anyone wants to stop by my channel it'd mean the world! trying to reach my goal of 18k
Done :-) Hope you reach your goal very soon :-) All the best :-)
Priya Sinha that was such a sweet comment! love seeing things like these! Sometimes when we ask people to help support our channels they respond negatively.
Celeste Angelica thanks a lot for noticing and acknowledging :-) Though I do not have a UA-cam channel, I sure can relate to this situation when we all need support and thankfully enough, God has always let me have the support I needed. So I feel I should return the favor and spread love and goodness in any way I can :-) :-)
Well thank you for that! We need more positive people like you in the world! I hope you enjoy my channel :) ♡ Priya Sinha
Yeah! I'm exactly the same- the nerves come when I'm going through security then the plane is like my safe place because I know that everything's okay
I am so happy somebody gets what I feel!!
Yes!
Louise T It's so bad that my family are going on holiday....without me :) It's all good in the hood though, i'll just find something fun to do!
I've never necessarily had anxiety from flying since I started flying since I was 3 or 4 but I think what I'm most nervous about now that I'm older is flying alone. Honestly, my biggest fear is getting stopped at TSA for packing something wrong or missing my flight. This video was really relaxing!
ILL BE YOUR TRAVEL BUDDY!!!!
You wrote this 7 years ago, how is your anxiety level when traveling now? God bless!
You're amazing Ingrid
Noa I just checked out your channel, love it!
TheStefaniAddisonChannel thank youuu
This video is really helpful, BUT, my anxiety is still saying "nooooo"! LOL
Question; did security care that your camera was on when it went through the checkpoint?
A submarine? That shit's way scarier than flying in an airplane.
Too true haha
Was going it comment this but I thought for sure it had already been mentioned! Not going to catch me in a submarine but I love flying!
Katy Richardson Yeah, and the pressure at the bottom of the ocean is enough to completely crush the entire submarine.
This was amazing! I struggle so much with travel anxiety and I really feel like this is going to help.
Thanks Ingrid
I love how you are so honest with us. It helps to know that others are dealing with these things as well.
your videos are always so peaceful and calming :) love you ingrid!
A beautifully done video to talk about something that must be quite hard to open up about at times. So much love for this and your channel 💗
this is probably the best video I've ever watched on UA-cam . I really thought no one else understood the anxiety I go through while traveling. At times I can't even enjoy when I've gotten to my destination because I'm worried about having to get back on a plane. I'm definitely going to try some of these coping mechanisms because there are so many places I plan on seeing, thanks for sharing !
This is very helpful I'll be leaving to New York in two days and my anxiety is over the roof already so thank you for this video and knowing I not the only one with anxiety .. xx
hope your okay xx
So happy I did it traveled with barley any anxiety my friends also helped me out a lot so yeah I made it to New York safely and back home :) xx
Elena Perez WE LITERALLY HAVE THE SAME NAME WTF (i go by my middle)
I’m like so late but does anyone know how bad the ear popping thing is I’m going to New York next month and I’m more nervous about that
this was so nice to watch and to realize I'm not alone with my travel anxiety. it's to the point where the days leading up to my flight I will have panic attacks about traveling and going somewhere unknown and the entire journey. these tips are definitely going to be so helpful to keep calm and release the airport anxiety I usually feel
Thanks for making this video so I don't break down on my school trip
Love you Ingrid❤️❤️
OMG I'm going to a Washington D.C trip too!!!! Less than a week!!!
Are you from the imperial valley ??
Don't be afraid! I love to travel and i am ALIVE, and I promise that you will survive haha!
Thank you +Alva ! I'm really excited and just hoping I don't have a panic arrack on the plane(:
Lizzie B I just went to DC last month on a trip. The worst part is the rude TSA there. Rude I'm telling ya.
Aydan Jane how did it go?
Going abroad tomorrow and am absolutely terrified but knowing you've managed to get through a similar thing is really helpful, thank you xx
This video and just the music was so soothing and helpful im in guatemala right now and i keep having major anxiety which i've never had a problem with before and just watching this helped me
omg! Thank you Ingrid! Traveling gives me so much anxiety, so I'm glad someone understands :)
Thank you for this Ingrid! I am going on holiday in a few days and am DREADING the flight. I feel sick just thinking about it. I have had anxiety since I was 7 but have only in the past 5 or 6 years been afraid of flying! I will try some of these tips. If anyone else has any recommendations I would love to hear them!
in the most direct sense, this video changed my life. I will never be able to thank you enough Ingrid. you're my hero ❤
This was honestly so helpful, thank you.
I totally understand your positions, thank you for the amazing tips Ingrid
xo
This helped a lot! I've always been nervous to go fly, especially overseas!!! Most people just say "you're going to be fine" which usually doesn't make me feel any better, but I'm glad to see someone else who shares the same fears, and was able to overcome them. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable traveling, along with the whole vibe of this video. Thank you so much! xox
Watching this video made me feel like I was the only person who LOVE being in a plane :')
Sweetnesspanda Same here!! I am an anxious person but somehow I love being on a plane/airports. The whole experience is very relaxing to me! ^_^
same omg
I love how honest and how real you are with us Ingrid. I find with a lot of beauty gurus and youtubers in general that the life they portray through the videos are made seem so edited and perfect to the viewers that we eventually come the think that the life you live is also perfect. I love how you really show your true side and aren't afraid to let us see your insecurities and fears, something that is usually so hard for anyone to do and you bare it without hesitation. Honestly Ingrid you are such an inspiration!
I’m not scared of flying in the plane, I’m scared of getting lost at the airport, and not knowing where I’m supposed to go.
The airport is one of the places where it's hard to get lost keep that in mind always.
This is honestly so helpful, I totally thought I was alone so I would act like everything was fine when I'm flying.
My tricks are to always be on time or ahead of time, that way you can't get anxious about being late or missing something!
*I've been dealing with anxiety for forever! Thankyou. I needed this :)*
Thank you! This video was (and is) a big help! x
I LOVE YOUR BACKDROP!!

There is a reason you have 3m subscribers. Your videos are always so well thought out and edited, but personal. always, SO GOOD, you really deserve your success
seems like UA-camrs now have ALL kinds of anxiety. lmfao
Thank you for sharing your experience.
i am going on a 10 hour flight to the caribbean with my boyfriend in a month and i am kinda nervous. watching this makes me calm🙂
Lisa Koglbauer ur probably all ready gone do how it was
candy girl12 it was actually fine. i got a medication to calm my nerves from the pharmacy ( with only herbal ingredients) and it worked amazing!
Lisa Kglbr do you mind telling me the name of the drug?
I'm a girl from Europe who goes to school in the states so I travel quite a bit back and forth. I have always loved traveling and (almost) all that comes with it. However, this video was so incredibly calming to watch, and I actually got emotional and teary-eyed, but in a good way, if that makes sense! Thank you so much for tips that I didn't even think or know I needed. I've been subscribed to your channel a long, long time, but recently I've just been loving your videos more and more. You're beautiful xoxo
I didn't know people are afraid of flying. I kinda get excited when I experience turbulences cause it feels like im on a rollercoaster XD
This was very helpful to me. I have very bad travel anxiety to and it feels good to hear someone else say they do to cause not many people I know or in my family deal with this. It's hard to feel like you're the only one who deals with it so thanks for making this video! I feel more confident about the next time I will be traveling.
I can't think about being in a submarine coz I'll have a panic attack. I don't like being under water either lol
I've never heard of travel anxiety before like 5 youtubers made videos about them all in a row... it really exists? Wow.
So thank you Ingrid, thank you a lot!
xx Emma
In case something bad does go wrong?? So does that mean it went good?? Lol
Quiet.
was thinking the same thing when she said it! lol

Emily xx
I'm going on a airplane right now I'm like freaking out AHHHH😓😖😱😰😭😨😲
Something that has helped me a lot is to watch all the planes taking off as you wait for yours by the gate. It's calming to see the normalcy and efficiency of the airlines, especially if you don't fly often. Since takeoff and landing are usually the worst parts for me, I always feel calmer once I see it done over and over without incident.
I always chew gum on planes to calm me down💕☁️📷
*Returns Hug!* 😂📷
X
Last time I was travellingI vlogged it for My CreativityChannel and that actually calmed me down for some reason😂💕📷x
Yeah me 2
I just found this channel, and I just love your on screen personality!
Traveling tomorrow and very anxious. It was so good to see that I'm not alone and that someone else prepares as much as possible to try to freak out less 😊
Reading a book in a turbulence?))) it will not make you distracted, it will make you nauseous.
It might work for some people. It works for me :)
I first watched this video when I was going on my first plane ride in over 10 years (back in August 2015) and it really helped me. Now I travel by plane twice a year and every time before I leave, I watch this video. It's become part of the routine and it always calms me down. Thank you so much for this!
You have no idea of how much this calms me. My heart feels warm with this much positivity! Thank you so much 🥰❤️
My mom has bad travel anxiety and I'm definitely going to show this video to her. And the next time we're on a plane, I'm gonna remind her of your tips!
Love you and your videos, Ingrid!! ❤
Such a helpful video to everyone who deals with the annoyance of anxiety. Always so in love with the way you make your videos they are always so calming and beautifully edited x
I needed this so much! Ive been so anxious about an upcoming trip and it's comforting to know i'm not the only one!
I've been freaking out for a month only by the thought of travelling.. this is what I needed for my 8 hours flight next week, love youuu ingrid
I can't even express with words how helpful this was. This was just what I needed. Thank you Ingrid!!
Please show more of such videos, love them. xoxo.
