These guys are tripping. Movie looks amazing.
feels like The Crow trailer wanted to have the effect that the Monkey Man trailer had. it didn't... but The Crow will have a chance to prove itself. will be interesting to see what it does.

Who’s the bad guy crime boss? Is this based of the first film? I’m very confused by this trailer. The guy that said aren’t you suppose to be dead? had no fearful reaction like wouldn’t you be more afraid? If you told me this is a crow movie I would have never guessed so. I’m not sure what to think but I’m a bit pessimistic
This beats the hell out of Wicked Prayer and Salvation in just three minutes of a trailer.

I liked Salvation. It wasn't the best film, but it was enjoyable. All of the original sequels at least took the moniker, "Don't fuck with the original," to heart. This new one could have just done some name changes and made a few different artistic decisions, and it could be a solid sequel. I don't get the aversion to sequels that seems to run rampant in Hollywood. They always want to reboot everything and make it worse. The only movies that need rebooting are the really bad movies.
I was disappointed when Warcraft didn't get a sequel, despite making bank internationally. At least it's being discussed about having a Warcraft show on streaming I can pirate later on. Really, Warcraft would be best in a long format run instead of a 3 hour movie. But I digress.
@@gothnate I can see your point definitely respect it. who knows maybe this will be pretty decent after all and give us a little trip down memory lane at the very least. i think it has enough potential for that. the biggest mistep pressman made on this was allowing the media to label it as a reboot. i dont think pressman studios ever called it that. they were pretty up front and made sure to say it was an adaptation of the obarr novels and comics.i mean they could have called it a reboot but havent been able to find that.

The biggest problem with this is the fact the people making this movie have allowed this to be called a remake, when its in fact a reworking of the comics. Im glad they didnt copy the original movie as that film should be left in its place... im looking more forward to this now, even though i dont think the trailer does the film any favours.
Yeah, we went into this thinking it's a remake which VASTLY skews its reception. Knowing it's based on the comics is much more exciting and intriguing.

If they weren't going to make a faithful adaptation of the source material (the comics), they could have just named the characters differently and made a new Crow film with different characters instead of changing the Eric and Shelly characters so much that it pisses off the real fans.

@@teddybear8348 Dude, TF are YOU talking about? I never said the 94 movie was a faithful adaptation of the comics. I'm very aware of all the liberties the film took. I've read the graphic novel many many times, and own an autographed copy, and had the opportunity to talk to James O'Barr as he was drawing a commission piece for me. Maybe you should read what I wrote again.
Did yall ever read the comic book? Thats what this movie is based off of i see so many ppl mainly bitching about the hair when thats how the crows hair was in the comic.

Very true, this version is gonna be closer to the source material. Im glad they have changed things up, my biggest worry was they were just gonna copy the original movie. That has its place in history.

I want to know how in the heck they justifying blending all three Crow movies together and saying it's a remake? The Crow was awesome. City of Angels was cool with it's own story and aesthetic. Salvation had it's own look and story. All had villains that made sense....this one looks like the only thing it has going for it is Bill Skarsgard.
EDIT: oh and sorry, I did miss that the series was kind of alright with the only memorable episode for me was the double crow episode.

He reacts too much like he's still human and surprised instead of coming to the realization of his power and purpose and being the revenant that he is suppose to be.
People are soooooo picky. Watch it come out and be amazing but all the Hipsters are like wahhh it’s an old movie waaah do not touch it waaahhh. Dude Who actually cares? It is a movie, maybe it will be good and maybe it will suck. Who knows? Who cares? Not I. The original was a good movie. Some people are nostalgia hyping it though as it is not a masterpiece in the eyes of modern standards. Did it age well? I mean kinda, but the whole Idea is very generic from the rip. The cinematography was the real ace in that original movie. The dark scenes and wide angle shots. Making things seem much more dark and eerie. The Donee was amazing as well. But the acting and the story was still not something you should call a masterpiece. I believe that should be saved for a very small few. Especially when it sits on a shelf next to other amazing older movies that hold up better. Remember sometimes nostalgia holds you back. Be open to it and see where it goes. Do not immediately say waaa no because it shouldn’t exist because I loved the first one toooo much. Wa wa wa. Lol
I can tell you didn't watch the whole episode because we say at the end that we're gonna be open and go see it and see how we feel about it.
The original Crow was great but lets not pretend it was some cinema defining film. It was a ton of edge lord camp that made no goddamn sense but is a fun turn-your-brain-off movie. That's exactly what this movie is gonna be just dialed up a little more.
There was nothing deep or engaging about the original Crow, and lets be honest...without Lee's death it would've faded into cult obscurity. Stop putting it on some kind of pedestal.

I agree with this also. Very much. Obarrs work was not lord of the rings writing material. nor was the movie a cinema defining moment. it was a new take on action movies. think of rapid fire with brandon lee where he and his girl gets killed,he comes back and messes up everyone except this time its goth and he has make up on and has super powers with an amazing soundtrack and moody atmosphere. and there you have it lol

@ExploringwithJaye 😆 we've learned that it's based on the comic (even though it's been marketed and WIDELY perceived as a remake) so we're a LITTLE less pessimistic, but still real leary about how this is gonna turn out.
