Welcome back to another vlog and in todays video we will be eating a few foods that you should try when coming to south Florida. A lot of these foods are staples in Cuban households all around Miami so today i will take you to some places that you can try for an authentic dish. Everybody living in Miami knows your day starts with a Cuban Coffee or known as a “cafecito”. After having our breakfast treats i take you over to a famous burger sport here on bird road. Unlike American burgers these are Cuban burgers with a twist and they were my absolute favorite for the day! Ass an intermission we have some ice cream and to end the day we stop at the famous Frankie’s pizza also on bird road. Would you try any of these foods if you came to Miami?

Awesome!!! I've been at Frankie's Pizza twice. My favorite pizza is with onions, mushrooms and a light sprinkle of anchovies. Btw, that brown fruit (Mami/Mame) is plentiful in the eastern part of Jamaica, particularly in Portland & St Thomas. I've had croquetas for breakfast many times but only the croquetas de pollo. Thanks for sharing PoJo.

@@elturko1128 wow, I couldn’t have said it any better lol. It’s funny and crazy how food works. I learned not too long ago that the original Cuban sandwich was not invented in Miami. Lol I’d argued with many Cuban miamians and I was dead wrong haha. The original was invented in Tampa Florida, BUT Miami perfected it by putting it on a hot press machine and also removing the salami. Lol Tampas version had salami in it. Lol I like salami, but not in my Cuban lol.

    • @elturko1128

@@fonsecarichard that’s funny cuz I have similar story :))) I’m Turkish and our national dish, doner kebab(where gyros and shawarma came from. In all respective languages including Turkish means “it turns”) during ottoman times was eaten on plate with bread. And today in Turkey it’s popular as a sandwich as well. Maybe more so than plate version. And I always argued with people the sandwich version was invented in Turkey. Well once Google came around and I could be proven wrong with quick search, I was proved wrong, turns out was invented by a Turk in Germany 😅 with that said never had salami in a cuban I don’t think. I feel like I’d notice that. Now I’m curious to try that version
