I'm thinking Dream Star went with calling this horror Silverbolt because 'Afterthought' was a bit too on the nose... 🤦♂️ Emgo, you are a much braver (and infinitely more patient) man than I. Kudos!
I'm immensely grateful for the upload. He lost a foot and I nearly lost a hand getting him into plane mode, so decided I wouldn't even contemplate Combined mode without a video from you... Still might put it off for a while though 😅
It’s funny because on the other four the robot parts hid very well underneath their jet modes but this one is like an over engineered combiner wars Silverbolt, you’d think on a bigger figure than the other four theyd have more space for better engineering
Looks to me that, if the composition of the parts weren't as tight and required so much effort to put into place, the transformation for this would actually be fairly fun. Buuuut.... welp, the struggle's real, eh?
What's strange is that most of the overcomplicated clutter underneath the plane mode seems to be aesthetic parts... if it was in order to perfectly mimic a cartoon/toy/comic look in the Masterpiece style I could just about understand it, but they've deliberately gone for their own take on the character - which means _they get to choose how he looks._ If it all ended up being this complicated, they have the option to find other choices that looked cool but transformed in a much simpler way because *_they get to decide how it's going to look_*_ in the end._ The real-world Concorde had two huge oblong engines, one under each wing - if they could figure out some way to basically split the body right down the middle with just the wings and a sort of spinal column holding it all together, and basically fold each leg, arm and half-a-torso into a couple of neat little boxes, then you'd have a nice accurate-looking Concorde mode instead of a bulky triangle of kibble underneath that looks like someone threw movie Starscream in a blender. Then, you can unfold everything and recombine the two halves in the middle and figure out how to make that into Silverbolt's robot mode and Superion's torso from that starting point. He'd have a big line running from neck to crotch, and it'd basically be symmentrical transformation between the left and right sides, but at least it would be a more sensible approach rather than that overengineered mess.
Let's pour one out for Emgo, this toy looks to be torment to transform. I think Zeta Toys or Toyworld would have done better. *Gets the fancy apple juice*
I have watched this set come out and I still have just one question. WHY? Why would anyone get these? The asthetic is overkill. The engineering is a mess. I just don't get it.
My condolences to you Emgo.
Perhaps there’s a special place in Tartarus where poor souls must do this over and over for eternity
they really looked at CW Silverbolt and went "okay but what if it was a nightmare"
By the gods. This might explain why he's hesitant to go all in on their DEVASTATOR.
before starting the video...
_puts his hands together_
DORIME
Good lord, this is... not worth it😂
Emgo you are truly a Master transformer for dealing with this behemoth
Oh boy that's a lot of fiddle factor goin on
Thank you for your service good sir
Whoever designed this thought they cooked... they did, but it's OVERCOOKED.
The “just” is doing some heavy lifting in the title
...havent even gotten throw 3 minutes of this video and its seems painful to transform man my condolences

Wow what an over engineered shiny toy that is!
Que pesadilla, normalmente no veo los jti, pero aquí es merecido para ti que lo veamos y le demos like al video
How come the "Just Transform" is bigger than the full review? 🤔
Cuz he has to go both ways
And he doesn't transform this one in the review
Haha he said nope not doing this more then I have to and guessing he has said a lot of bad words fiddling with this over priced piece of junk
I think this set was very good and very playable. But the minus is silverbolt arms

I love apple juice 🧃
i would love to see the all of the Collide and become the master of the skys
Oh damn, thats a concord
The bot to plain is easier than combine mode. I do wish they did a fo chest and made the plain look better.
i could hear the frustration in your voice 😅

At 2:17 you start work on the legs but then at 2:52 you start again on the same leg.
What model is your spinning display stand, boss?
I’m so sorry you had to do this.
Looks like the person who designed rotf jetfire doubled down on his work.
What parts forming oh my no no no
Can we please get an alt to robot? 😅
I haven't seen this much bulk to an aircraft transformer in a long time. Not a smooth or fun transformation at all. I feel ya.
this transformation is a hot mess!
Yep
Bruh this is over-engineered. There's a lot of unnecessary steps involved.
I have watched this set come out and I still have just one question.

I just don't get it.
