Enjoyed your review and was torn between the 16 and 18 for weeks personally. Ended up going with the 18 and so far so good. It also has avoided any of the problems you fairly mentioned and discussed here. That being said, carrying around a 16" sounds like a dream and the 18 has felt pretty hefty 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@steeveabitbol2466 funny after having both you're still unsure. Tough to say, but I think I'm going to enjoy the better sound, bigger screen, and (probably) slightly quieter fans on the 18 to the brighter and better resolution display and overall better portability of the 16. Tough choice for sure

100% agree after all the March updates this is the best laptop on the market. I have 16in m1pro and m1max as well as blade 18 and this one is like a perfect compromise between the 16 in MacBook Pro and blade 18. CPU lottery might play a role here but after the update my cinebench ran over 31k… incredible. Basically desktop performance in portable package. Unplugged this this is as fast as my m1max plugged in there is no comparison. M1max feels like a MacBook Air.

what would you buy between the scar 16 and razer blade 16? I don't think the razer blade with the 4k option is that good for gaming since 4k on a laptop is kinda hard to pull at max settings so I am mainly thinking about the mini led scar 16 and razer blade 16 qhd. I am really curious what you'd choose as I am kinda inclined to go for the mini led in the scar 16 but its design is not that appealing for me

The Razer Blade 16 can switch between 240hz FullHD and 120hz QHD (it is called Dual-Mode-Display), the Scar 16 doesn't have such an option, it is quite unique and erases your worries.

If you have the extra money and don’t mind a little worse cpu performance due to the thermals the razer is a better machine in every way. The screen alone looks much better than the scar 16’s mini led. But the scar is amazing too though so you won’t be missing out really. If you play a lot of competitive shooters then the scar is better.

    • @consumertechwarehouse

Without actually looking at the charts from what I remember just benchmarks. Because benchmarks would stress 100% the CPU and then 100% the GPU but games use a combination of both and because of that there's less dynamic boosting which in turns means that you never get the full wattage on both the CPU and GP are the same time since it's shared. Long story short lol for the most part you're not thermal throttling when you're gaming

I tried both the Asus M16 & the Lenovo legion pro 7i with the 4080s & I'd choose both of them over the razer tbh
It's just the price... There's no justification for mailing a device £400 more expensive (and sometimes more) with the same internals & less functionality, especially compared to the Lenovo.
The 4080 Lenovo has the 13900hx chip so it's comparable to the 13950hx, & it has a numberpad & a good screen all for £3000
There's nothing the razer offers that's worth paying £3600 (£600 more!!) For the same 240gz IPS screen, basically the same chip & same GPU & same ram, without a numberpad
    Ridiculous
