I observed u find it funny in old movie trailers when some indian guy brief the story in british accent (seems animated)& u think it would have been better if tried with indian.Its true but... U need to understand that british came india a long time back with church ,convent school and ofcourse english language. It was always a swagger in indian subcontinent to speak in english with perfection.Here we been taught phonetic with british accent so its in our culture that without british accent its not considered as perfect which has own class, group & elite or whatever u may say. U can see all great leaders in the subcontinent not only India but neighboring countries as well have this "British accent" particularly old politicians. So thats the reason when u say that this is something class ,special or elite club then u bound to use this british accent.In those days it was a tradition but now who cares.
