In this video, we continue our Thailand travel in 2021. We start on the island of Koh Samui, at the Lomprayah Pier to catch a 2 hours speed boat ride to the island of Koh Tao - considered one of the most beautiful Thai islands. After going through a quick check point when getting on the island, we were picked up by a driver and taken to our hotel - Simple Life Cliff View Resort. We had an amazing lunch at the Breeze Koh Tao and enjoyed some delicious Thai food while admiring the crystal blue water of Koh Tao Thailand. Next on our list of Things to do in Koh Tao, we go to a local viewpoint on Freedom Beach Ko Tao for a beautiful sunset. Later, we enjoyed some beers on the Sairee Beach Koh Tao while watching a fire show.
The next day on our Thailand adventure, we hire a longtail boat to go to a smaller island 10 minutes from Sairee Beach - Koh Nang Yuan. Koh Nang Yuan Thailand is a private island so we had to pay an admission fee when going there. The Koh Nang Yuan Viewpoint is one of the must do things on the island. The 20 minutes hike up some steep stairs and massive rocks took us to the most beautiful viewpoint in Thailand. The Island of Koh Nang Yuan has great snorkeling sites with a multitude of colorful fishes and massive corals. We got to snorkel for a couple of hours in this diver's paradise and fell in love with the island.
Next on our list of Things To Do in Koh Tao, we head over to John Suwan Viewpoint Koh Tao for one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Koh Tao Island. After a 20 minutes hike through the Thai jungle, climbing some steep rocks, we got to a picture perfect viewpoint overlooking both Chalok Baan Kao Bay and Shark Bay, and the view goes on for miles and is one of the best viewpoints in the South Thai islands.

Amazing! We loved it. Koh Tao is still our favorite island in Thailand. Can’t go wrong!
we want to go so much what a dream
Its amazing. Must see for sure.
Nice video, how many days are enough to explore Koh Tao?
3-4 days is fine.
มาเที่ยวถนนข้าวสารก่อน010
Maybe next month
There is cheaper hotels and hostels in Tao too but not many of them are in booking/agoda :)
We found amazing deals all around Thailand, but Tao was pretty difficult . Especially during covid.
How long was the time Koh Samui to Koh toa by speedboat
About 2 hours.
May I know the name of the resort just right down the Chalok Baan Kao Bay and Shark Bay? Around 10:09- 10:19 from your video
Sorry I dont know the name.
Koh Nang Yuan Resort (private resort) near Koh Tao If you not stay here, you have to pay fee
We are in hatyai.we want come there but we are not vaccinated yet .can you tell me about restrictions
The rules change every day. Check the Samui plus program and see of the allow you to go visit with no vaccine. Samui and Tao are both Surat Thani province.
Koh Tao, be careful there.
Will do. Thank you!
Firstly, Koh Nang Yuan is nice, but nowhere near the nicest island in Thailand. Secondly, you can stay overnight in those little huts on the island, or you could, back in 2010. I went with a friend and we were the only people on the island after the bar closed.
Looking for some good recommendations with the nicest islands in Thailand. Would love to visit. What is your top 3?
@@OurPaidVacation Ok well I checked out your video list and you've done a few - Samui etc, Kood, Chang. All with their own charm although Samui along with Phuket are so over-developed it's questionable if they still constitute a genuine Thailand experience. Depending on what your criteria are (ours is diving, snorkelling, biking, meeting fun people, authentic Thailand-ness) I would rate Similan and Surin as the two most stunning islands. Largely because they are out in the Andaman Sea and more like The Maldives than Thailand and protected in a National Park. You can rent a hut on Surin which was tempting because the beach is amazing. We are now on Koh Lipe which has stunning Sunrise Beach and the diving/snorkelling is up there with Similan Islands. It also has a great laid back island vibe BUT we were a bit confronted at first by how scrappy the 'town' area is, even by Thai standards. We bought our mountain bikes and are staying at Pooh Bar & Resort (highly recommended) which is an oasis of old island charm (Pooh and Soi were the first ones here in the 90s). Now we've found our groove and met some nice people I'm starting to love it. Just took a while. But worth a visit - just give yourself a good 2-3 days to settle in.
Wow, thank you for the detailed response. We will definitely check all of them out for sure.
We are coming back to Thailand around March.
Have fun and let me know how Lipe goes.
Oh no , what a sorry state of of near Shore reefs, grose,, hardly any sea life compared to a couple of decades ago.. I hope slightly further out the reefs are not in such a bad state so sad...
Some areas were better than others, but definitely not in their prime due to over tourism.
The diving was pretty good a few months ago. Whale sharks at Chumphon, tons of fish at Sail Rock. We were the only dive boat at Mango Bay! No-one goes to Koh Tao for snorkelling 🙄
