I don't get why so many people in the live chat were hating on Jaelah. Of all the youtubers out there she's the last person I would call a clout chaser. Her and her husband don't be out here posting these fake ass prank videos, she's never involved in any youtube drama; she just lives her life and minds her business. So i don't get all the hate.
I kept getting recommended the 1st video but didn't watch it cause I got an uncomfortable vibe at the thought of a white woman learning from black women then using that info to possibly monetize her black daughter. There's no why she couldn't have learned from youtube. Saying that she didn't, implies that she either didn't bother to look or she purposely didn't shout out the black resources that she learned from. I'm hot and cold when it comes to white ppl adopting non-white kids. I believe that every child deserves to be safe, valued, and cared for. But white savior complex is a thing and poc children's lives shouldn't be used as a tool to boost your own ego, consciously and/or unconsciously
Not saying this is her reasoning but African American children are much cheaper to adopt. A few years ago I had some white friends who were looking to adopt a black child. Or I guess what they thought would be a half black child. When the child was born and she was determined to be half Hispanic instead (which is weird because Hispanic isn’t considered a race in America and how the hell can you tell that from a baby) they decided to ask for more money. My biggest worry is the child growing up believing that people from their own culture don’t want them or all white people are kind and loving whereas black people aren’t.
The white woman doing the black girl’s hair seems to have the Savior complex ,which is annoying at times. I get it that she is trying ,but she ain’t getting a cookie 💁🏽♀️ Also, lmao @ those defending her for saying she has a black husband and we are hating?!!! Typical but carry on 😊

I had never felt so good or so free and I have had long hair all my life. I big chopped again after 4 years at Natural Resources Salon because I wanted a tapered cut. It is hair and it will grow back.
Bfoxy4life I think everyone should go short just once (shorter than what you’re used to anyway..) so they won’t be afraid of it. I transitioned for a year and half before chopping. Always had long hair and this was the first time my hair was above my shoulders-stretched. Now after growing it out, I have to say I would never transition again. It’s just pointless to me now. And for whoever said "acid" should scare you, just because it's called boric acid, the only acid in this convo that should scare you is acetic acid, which is vinegar. You don't treat mucosa membranes like the inside of the mouth, lining of the anus, and inner labia like you do other epidermal surfaces like the hands, arms, legs, etc.
Honestly the 4c complaining thing is easy to say.. And calling it complaining is kinda making it seem that it has no logical explanation. I'm a 4c girl with medium thickness and fine strands...went natural before the rest of my 3c/4a hair... I did the work and i accept my hair.. I learned to do mine and my familys and they still can't help me with anything.. But then I also work as a model and my hair has, on numerous occasions, been the reason i wasn't hired...have had people pointing and asking what to do with it because their other black models don't have that type of hair... .it makes it hard to be positive when obviously large sections of people prefers a different type of black hair...my own acceptance will only due so much, I'm a human and we are social animals that react to our environment... Maybe more empathy would help people realize that they have things that work for them and that YES the world does prefer different type of hair but screw the world since beauty is now deprived heavy from white supremacy standards...asking people to just pretend that there aren't more benefits to not having 4c hair in life, in dating and in creating a postive sense of self etc is not necessary ..I don't understand it..it can all be true
First, realize that you aren't the only person with that experience and that that experience isn't just limited to the idea of "4c Hair". What you have done is taken some of the negative experiences you had with your hair but you have associated with your hair type. You have already altered your perception to believe that 4c is this curse that most people don't understand or want to deal with. Iyanla Vanzant has a quote that says: "Accept and acknowledge your own brilliance. Stop waiting for others to tell you how great you are. Believe it for yourself and about yourself." Now of course I'm sure the context might be a little different, even in regards to your hair, I believe this quote rings true. Don't wait around seeking validation from others to put worth and value in yourself or this case your hair.
michalovesanime I’m sorry I call bullshit to that. I have 4c hair, and while it’s painful to have your own people talk down in your natural hair, my confidence in my hair makes up for that every time. No one can make me feel like shit about my hair, that honestly just sounds like an excuse 🤷🏾♀️.
Everybody gets validation from both inside and outside. It's ok to want that. I get it. I'm sorry for all the jobs you didn't get because of the hair issue, and I'm glad you didn't let it stop you from embracing your natural hair.
After Zozibini Tunzi won Miss Universe 2019.....yeah I don’t see what you’re talking about...not to say those issues haven’t been a problem in the past, but the social shift on a global scale is undeniable...soul searching is appropriate for any occasion... I don't really like the making fun of folks like this and please leave ULoveMegz and some others out of this. I was all for you critiquing CynDoll though.....

@@alyariel9713 he wasn't saying anything mean.. can't help when ppl in the comments chime in
@@alyariel9713 I mean, that's just social media for you and the internet in general. not saying it's right, but when ppl have platforms, they put themselves out there for scrutiny. it does suck.... and i agree, the natural hair community can be extremely toxic at times... 10 yrs ago, the trend wasn't as big so of course ppl seemed more pleasant.. but today, it's totally different.
@@Shalayah2010 There's a platform for anything these days, but we don't all have to participate in it. Shat be getting out of hand. Folks were commenting about dumb unnecessary stuff and his channel, I thought, wasn't a platform for this
@@j-ace1519 Exactly, at what cost is the question. I was just so uncomfortable with it all...bad vibes
This first baby looks uncomfortable every time she parts it.
