Daniel Barenboim conducts the Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires in the event "A Tango Night Live from Buenos Aires". The concert begins with a medley of classics by Carlos Gardel.
Part 1 of the open-air show featuring Daniel Barenboim, Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires, Leopoldo Federico & his Orquesta Típica, as well as dancers Mora Godoy and Junio Cervilla. With music by composers such as Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, Julio de Caro and Horacio Salgán, a guest appearance by Salgán, and arrangements by José Carli.

About the event
The year 2006 come to a close with a spectacular musical event: a festival of Argentinean music broadcast live from Buenos Aires. At the height of the Argentinean summer, the Orquesta Filarmónica del Teatro Colon under Daniel Barenboim (conductor & soloist) join the excellent bandoneon virtuoso Leopoldo Federico and his Orquesta Tipica to present an extraordinary New Year’s Eve show with popular tangos and Latin American orchestra classics. The old master of tango, José Carli, has created enchanting new arrangements of works by Argentinean composers Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel, Julio de Caro and Horacio Salgán.

My great admiration for Maestro Barenboim takes another Great Leap forward. He is truly one of the greats. In addition to his musicianship Barenboim is multilingual, fluent in Spanish, Hebrew, English, French, Italian, and German. He has received many awards and prizes, including 7 Grammy awards, an honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, France's Legion of Honour (both as a Commander and Grand Officier) and the German Großes Bundesverdienstkreuz mit Stern und Schulterband.

😮😮Yo no, ni a mierda saliera a tocar música al aire libre para arriesgarme a que me dé un golpe de calor, especialmente por lo caliente que han sido los veranos estos últimos anos, y muchísimo menos a tocar al aire libre vestido con ropa negra...😮😮
