On the subject of the Liberator Penetrator needing something more unique to it: Originally it only had burst fire, not full-auto, and I think with some reworking of the burst fire mechanic itself that could be a cool new avenue for identity. Make bursts always complete, and have a split-second cooldown, instead of just being "full-auto but stops on its own" like it is now. Then make the Lib Pen burst-fire only, and give it much higher fire rate and lower recoil. That way it would always fire tight and rapid groupings. It could have the same or slightly lower effective DPS as the Adjudicator, because of the gap between bursts gating its fire rate, but gets its damage out more immediately and with much better ease of use.
yeah the way burst work now is weird, making it auto complete a full cycle would overall reduce the inconsistent time between shots as now you dont have to take your finger off the trigger (mouse or controller) and press it again and instead tap the trigger, it fires the full cycle and you can tap it again once it's done, better memorization of the timing and less treating it like a full auto by spam clicking to get the fastest fire rate, it's why I use semi auto on incen cause I can just tap fire then
I very much like the full-auto option on Liberator penetrator, because I’m able to adapt and choose my style for different situations. Semi auto and burst can be done with full-auto mode. Real issue with this weapond is the 30 round magazine combined with terrible damage per shot. Liberator penetrator should find it’s identity with high durable damage when shooting for example devastators chest plates. This is a medium 2 penetrating weapond that is simply less effective at killing devastators than ”a normal Liberator” would do and both of them have to aim for weakspot or magazine dump too many rounds for durable spots.
AH is always talking about balance, yet is failing to see how bad they are? They could easily buff all these and they wouldn't be even close to overpowered
This is perfect. I've been saying all guns need either a higher magazine size or higher magazine count. Reload simulator isn't very fun. Also making guns unique from each other would be cool
Man, this list is 100% accurate. Last video about the sup weapons I personally did not agree with a good amount of tiers, but this primary/secondary/nade list is perfect IMO! I bet if we could see the pick rate of all of these items, would mirror this list.
Someone commented that it’s bad if the sickle overheats when getting overwhelmed. But even if it does, you can always reload it as normal, and swapping out the heat sync is pretty fast. IMO, sickle should be in S tier because it usually reloads itself while you’re using your support weapon. So long as it’s not overheated when you swap to another weapon, it will always be waiting for you with a fresh magazine ready to go. Super reliable.
I agree the fire weapons should have some affect on enemy movement, but I feel stagger would feel weird (no argument of the practicality of it it). I could see a slowing or very brief stun affect making sense
Did this man/cat just suggest that people can simply slow down their fire rate on the breaker and it still a total S tier weapon? MADNESS. Honestly this is a really solid list and reflects the reality of the weapons and that they are all totally serviceable in almost all scenarios.
Totally serviceable but still none feel fun against the bugs, on the automaton side though they have A LOT of different options that feel great and fun
I like your list. That being said, I really want the shrapnel back on the eruptor. Obviously also giving it its lower damage back as well, otherwise it'd be a bit busted. But shrapnel is what made it fun for me.
In terms of grenades, for me personally, incendiary impact is S tier. I throw it at a breach and it 100% wipes out most of the bugs that come out of it. I'll throw a 500kg if a BT or impaler or whatever comes out. I'll also yeet it at my feet if little bugs are all over me because I wear the fire resistant armor. Just all around very good CC and something I use in place of the flamethrower.
The Cookout is nice, but the low durable damage and greater spread make it particularly bad against Commanders, Spewers etc, it still pushes them back so its not too bad. It is better than the Punisher overall, but to me seems a bit shaky on S, A+ IMO. i-Breaker still S no doubt, the lower mag count hurts, but still the best burning dispenser, with great "oh no" dps at close range. Lacks the stagger, but makes up with rate of fire. Blitzer and Plasma Pun in A+ makes sense! Along with all you said, its dangerous to teammates! So you can't bail them easily from being overwhelmed. Frag needs... Shrapnel! Just considered this, but what happens if we Airburst time an incendiary grenade? Idk. But it should have a wider AoE right? Well, it should anyway.
I feel like the eruptor is underrated on the tier list. If you take stun nade (since you don't really need explo nade with it) and pocket shotgun on all clip, you stun a charger and you go eruptor, shotty, eruptor with cancel animation tech, you have a dead charger. Plus is very good at chaf clearing, decent at medium armor (reliably killing warrior and everything around it tbh of brute commander just by aiming at the thing f.e.). plus it close bugholes. Yes the handling is not the best, but do you really need good handling when your bullet explode for 16m diameter ? tldr, I feel like the gun is pre much at the level of the blizzer powerwise (with whom it shares the power of team killing with great efficency) Cause at the end of the day (and considering the fact that you don't have to deal with gunships in bugs mission) I feel like its basically autocanon in main slot with bad handeling
I wish instead of the crazy range the crisper has it had a buff to its ground burning effect. Like it lights it fast or longer. Or maybe it sprays the flammable liquid first coating whatever. Then a continuous spray.
I personally rate Knight and Liberator Carbine in A tier against bugs. They both get a solid amount of recoil reduction while ADS, which makes closer range full-auto while standing reasonable. Knight in particular has perfect handling and can do 180 mouse turns with perfect tracking without need for peak physique. They both feel good for the chaff enemies, but struggle with killing Hive guards, Spewers, and Brood Commanders in an ammo efficient manner. Good primary picks for HMG, Railgun, and Grenade Launcher. Pair decently well with guard dogs, since it cuts down on the ammo usage and target overload which comes with using a non-AOE/spread weapon. One thing about having a really fast fire rate is that the faster an enemy dies, the faster you can do something else and the faster that corpse is not in the way. Personally I feel the Defender and default Liberator are worse, just because I would rather control a fast fire rate instead of not having that fire rate when I need it.
@@JFK47x You can get more kills with things like Defender, Tenderizer, or explosive crossbow? It is a Liberator without that pesky slow fire rate limiting your options at close range and has a nice close combat dot sight. If it is better than B tier, and worse than S tier, then it has to be A tier.
Yeah, I was thinking the same for a bit, but it's actually not good enough for S-tier, as much as I like using it. I find myself often enough in situations where it simply does nothing and I have to rely on a strat or support weapon, or a teammate.

The Purifier can't one shot a warrior to the head, and the AoE will often fail to kill scavengers within arm's reach. It just straight up needs a buff, the charge-up is just too rough for what you get out of it.
I was under the impression that the Blitzer attempted to Headshot everything, not center mass. I've seen this happen pretty predictably when I one-shot Brood Commanders. Is this correct? Is there more nuance?
When you shoot from the front arc of a Commander, the head is at the center of mass. I think that's what got you confused. You can easily see the effect if you flank them.

Infinite ammo, amazing stagger, amazing damage, medium pen. For a primary weapon, this is incredible. Keeps hordes off you incredibly well. Hunters trying to jump at you, Alpha Warriors sprinting at you, no problem with the Blitzer. Can take a Commander’s head out in 1 shot, even an Alpha Commander (though this one is inconsistent). I’d say it still deserves S-tier because, what it does well, it does amazingly. If Shriekers are enough of a downside to not be in S then Breaker Incen should be in A too - it has zero stagger, which is a huge downside against the Bugs, most of all against Stalkers. You just have to aim for the head and unload your entire mag, and hope you get lucky and the Stalker dies before it launches you. Nevermind the fact that you have to notice the Stalker before it gets too close to you to even be able to try this. Oh, and having to spend your entire mag is a bigger problem than ever now that they took 2 of BI’s mags. Cookout is number one in my opinion. It has the chaff clear and Shrieker clear of the BI with stagger added on top of that, which is huge. Its only downside is its laughable durable damage, but you should use a Support weapon for durable enemies anyway - like oneshotting Alpha Commander heads with an Autocannon, so I think its drawback is smaller than the other top 3 guns. The Cookout though, I think is the number
I think ALL the AR's need either additional magazines or additional magazine size. I would say plus 5 or plus 10 across the board, to all of em. Then I would start by making guns more unique again. Tenderizer has INSANE handling and recoil Make the concussive keep its unique knock back but do a bit more damage. Have the penetrator do the most damage and be your strongest AR. Liberator be your balanced all rounder. Just something to keep them unique. I would also say more damage and ammo on the marksman rifles or armor pen. Another good way to make each gun unique is to change the recoil and handling different and unique for each gun
Everyone mostly comes from triple A gaming, destiny or call of duty. Expecting to spray and pray everything while reloading with 20 bullets still in the mag. The brainless gameplay has come to helldivers. Also, they aren’t used to team oriented strategies and would rather go the “ I should be overpowered” route. That’s why most of these whiners are crying about nerfs because they’d rather kill their charger through flamethrower leg one at a time, other than having a teammate reload your recoilless launcher killing 5-6 chargers in under 15 seconds.
- Incen. Imp.: Can't count the number of times my G-16 Imp. exploded too close and killed me. Running Shield Gen. now so might switch back. - Blitzer coz no ammo worries. Plus I saw teammates get most kills with it. - Nade Pistol for bug holes and Spewers.
Eruptor is wrong I feel. It can’t deal with huge amounts of enemies. I do agree with blitzer though. Many put it S but I think A is fair. It really struggles when there’s many stalkers.

Good list! Are you interested in a sponsorship? We sell gaming laptops and you do Helldivers 2 videos, so it might be a good fit.
Blitzer easily S tier, same with Jar 5 Dominator. Cookout scorcher and BI are A tier and everything else is why bother
Incendiary has 1 R 😎
Luna awww
Just take the flamethrower or stalwart with it.
The liberator concussive is better than the pummeler in every way. More cc and more damage. Stop bming my boy it rules.
Like for kitty :)
Putting the fire breaker in S tier just tells AH that the nerf was warranted 😭
That's consistent with his view of the nerfs.
It was OP. Using only two shoots to destroy a complete patrol was excessive
cuz it was ? reducing the mag size just promotes careful play so that they dont just spam it everywhere ong i stopped using it cuz it made everythang so boring and easy
@@Alsborg I do agree that it was amazing, but I am not happy with them focusing on that, while ignoring many other weak primaries.
@@LuisGonzalez-tp1uy I didn't use it either because of that reason, but I am only playing on Level 7 difficulty and mostly a bot player, so I don't have much skin in the fight. It was a low skill weapon that you could just shoot in the general direction of the bugs and it'd do massive damage(at least to the lightly armored bugs).
Cat was in the way of the video. 1/10
I cant believe that this tierlist is for just tier 10. it sounds like half the time youre justifying the weapons terrible stats based on performances in lower difficulties. This is supposed to be for super helldive only, a third of the weapons on this tierlist belong in C just for suicide or above.
Im ranking weapons and saying it may be alright in lower tiers but it doesnt work when you x3 the enemies!
Punisher is objectively better in every way than the cook out. And even then I would rate it a B. Not a single weapon should ever be S tier in Helldivers in it's current state even A tier is a stretch. Breaker incin is a Low A at best
I dont run support weapon most of the time so im relying on my primary even more. And i would take the og punisher over the fire breaker everytime.

Apparently I’m first
S tier should be reserved for things that need nerfs.
Ok so you get 4 mags now. Oh thanks for 20. I said 4. Ya thats what i said. 20.
4.
20.
4.
20.
4.
Ugh, fine....20.
Spray and pray in C tier is extremely unfair
Honestly I could caare less after 7 months of bullshit from the devs. Im not playing thier game till they stop nerfing anything players enjoy
