How is the performance on Switch?
I'm always kind of a bad person to ask this, because for people who are really sensitive to it I know it's a big deal. Me? Unless it outright starts to interfere with my success I don't tend to sweat it or even think about it much. Given how attractive it can be I'm surprised it isn't a bit more troublesome, but I'm not sure it is perfectly smooth by any means.
Pretty awful. There are certain sections where you enter a densely populated area, and the game goes full fuzzy and pixelated. It's horribly distracting. First time experiencing that on the Switch.
@@pest174 That effect isn't terribly unusual, it's the method the Unreal engine uses to try to keep performance under control. I think I've just come to accept it over time, though it does take getting used to
@@JustinNationMAMEiac totally makes sense. The visuals take a massive hit, but the game itself runs fine. I am hoping a patch sort of balances out the performance because there are areas where it's difficult to make out objects, specifically looking for the red crab.
@@JustinNationMAMEiac Just started playing in dock mode. Plays and looks so much better. Handheld mode was the problem.
