Well it may be strange looking and it's not something you'd want to take out in any kind of rough water, but it would make a great live-a-board! (I checked out your link).
It amazes me as to how boat concepts and engineering designs differ from country to country. Great video showing these principle differences in design elements from country to country. 👍👍
Haven’t the hull designs changed a lot over recent years, not sure I like the look of the plumb bows but they seem to work well. I’ve had 3 weeks leave and only able to get the boat out on 3 days, bloody wind! 🎣🍺🛥🇦🇺
What a collection! Still trying to get used to the new look of the plumb bows like on the Pardo and Vanquish. But the Marquis, sorry folks, that looks like Willie the whale skipping across the water....
that thing looks like gross, but imagine rolling over to a remote area of the Florida Keys or anywhere shallow enough, and popping it out of the water and saying... this is where i live now.
1:40 The Mansion Yacht - Whatever floats your boat! Check out the Grateful Dead Flag flying second to Old Glory herself. 3:00 The CUSV has a radar mast atop a scissor-lift!! 4:02 That Mangusta 92 has waterjet drives. 4:47 On the far side of the inbound Solace as it passes a Bertram Sportfisherman. What is atop that "tower"?????? Looks like a wing! Quite the interesting variety! Those Scouts are some boats aren't they? Those "wing doors" or "patios" or "swim platform" or whatever are such an innovative design taken from super yachts!
Thank you for the video . My armchair observations of the day . I could always distinguish Fountain Boats by what I refer to as that " hook nose ". That little over hang in the bow . The newer models don't seem to have that pronounced hook anymore . And I thought the VAN Dutch was the only European boat builder to use that hull design and style but in today's video I noticed other builders that look the same as the Van Dutch . In some cases it was hard to tell them apart . Once again thank you for the video and keep up the GREAT WORK .
That Mansion "yacht" is ridiculous, you can see it floundering against the waves. Its square dimensions are no good for sea conditions. Loved watching the Hinckley ride so serenely over the swells while some of the bigger stuff was lurching and bouncing. Favourite would be the Mangusta it just looked so good, stylish yet aggressive. Great video thanks for posting. Did that fisherman at the end actually catch anything?
Interesting boats, one wonders if the plumb bow designs reduce pitching or if it's just a design exercise. The new male enhancement tool seems to be at least four outboards hanging on your stern. Is there any practical advantage for that arrangement as opposed to going to inboards?
It all about increasing the waterline length for greater efficiency (the sailing fraternity have done it for half a century and those boats looked strange at first) The vertical bow, not strictly an axe-bow as suggested in the narrative, that's something different, is intended to part the waves rather than climb over them. It gives a smoother ride with less pitching. The longer narrower hull is more efficient, so faster for a given engine size, and can stay out in worse conditions. The needle-nosed and flared hulls that seem to be still popular with some (!!) simply slam too much.
The only reason (that I can think of) for putting multiple outboards on the back of a large boat is to save money, and free up space inside the boat. But then, with two motors you double the chance of something going wrong, although on one engine few boats can plane back to harbour, their speed is considerably reduced, usually to a quarter. Perhaps the four motors allow one to break and leave you with enough power from the remaining three to sprint home. Getting home is one thing, getting home quickly before nightfall or a gale is a safety blanket that I can imagine being attractive. But you are right, I imagine that ego is the main reason for the sprouting of engines on the back of some boats.
Nice Catch! I didn't notice the difference in the bow and the stern lounge area,... I've updated the description and gave you credit! Sorry can't fix the vid :(
Wow! Me say “Go Boats! Go Boats!” Me love the boats when the waves going onto the air above the little boat, my ween declares “he’s very happy too!” Thanks for great and hideous filmings of the boaties brother, and never feel sad you trying your best and that what counts my friend!
Jez, now I know for sure I'm ancient. Just give me a 35 Mistress from about 1978 and as long as the hull is okay, I can manage the rest. These new boats look weird to me, sorry.
Ron Schwolsky did I mention I need two, one for Saturday and the other for Sunday. In fact I think I need seven. One for each day of the week......google Refuge Cove, Wilson’s Promontory, I spent three days there on my boat last week. Gods own country 🍺🍺
Nothing says weird like a giant floating toaster.. 01:41, check it out inside and what it can do.. mansionyachts.com/
That has to be the most ridiculous "look at me" idea I've ever seen.

You're welcome.
What a refreshing video. I have hardly seen any of the posh boats in action. Thanks so much
You're welcome, it is nice to see them in the wild, not just cramped up at the shows
Jeez the Fugly Club Poker Run.!
Ha. One of the funniest comments.
6:00 that Hinkley is still my favorite!!!
I'm starting to enjoy those axe bow boats they look like they ride well.

Awesome video! The AB Yachts 75 / R Tease... WoW I watched that one a few times.. Nice work ZipZap.
thanks, she is a beast.
So pleasant to relax and watch these boats go by, especially in northern NY where I look out to see snow.
I love looking at snow! living in, not so much!
Loved seeing the Estrella pass another boat to give some context as to the size of that beast.
Ah, that Swedish Delta is right up my alley.

Your the best I love how you come up with these wonderful shots and ideas!
thanks!
what a smooth ride that Vanquish
very nice ride, good balance, like the color... also, a correction from another viewer, It is a VQ50 MK2, not a 43 as I mistakenly ID'd it
So much cooler when they are giving them the beans lol

Thanks! Vandutch has understated styling that produces a big impact. I like it.
Always good video, but I really like the info that you include on most of the boats.
Thanks
Love watching your videos.
Nice! That unmanned boat really weird!
Riva 76 Perseo .. I love italian classic
Riva is where my money is going when i get there...
Great. Job. Sir
Seems like a lot more Vandutch style boats. Not my cup of tea though. Love the Hickley and downest style though. Real classic.
That Scout 530 lxf is lit
Quad Power Cat ... very nice
Beautiful boats/yachts, I couldn’t afford to run most of them for one lousy hour. Where did I go wrong?🤔😢

@@bmpowellicio Have you seen the recent Thunder Child II footage. Other example of power boats learning from current sailboat design.
750k in (Australian pesos) worth of outboards on that 65 Estrella.
It is a vq50 mk2

Was this the annual who can make the ugliest boat contest
A 65’ center console with 5 outboards? Cmon man....das ridiculous.
Not only that but the Seven Marine 627 beast
Z K yeah I’ve been looking to buy a70 footer with 7 outboards but can’t find one. Guess I’ll have to wait.....🤣🤣🤣🍺🍺🇦🇺

These boats are crazy expensive and not very attractive. BTW I love this channel
