Kama-Jutsu Ippon-Kumite | 鎌術 一本組手

Kama-Jutsu (or 鎌術 in Japanese) includes the fighting techniques ( 術 Jutsu ) of the oriental sickle ( 鎌 Kama) according to Ryukyu Kobujutsu. Next, Ippon-Kumite (or 一本組手 in Japanese) means ‘one step sparring’. Typically, this involves a standard way of responding to a single attack technique. In this video (recorded on 12 February 2024), budoka Johan Oldenkamp, a former national champion from the Netherlands, performs the ten basic one-step-sparring sequences for the Kama.
