As a self taught guitarist the main verse is basically a variation of G played down the neck, I have no idea how Jeff and the guitarist (Tighe? co-wrote it, I believe) came across the divinity , but damn. massive joy from managing this when I "found" it. I often disagree with various tutorials, but this is IMO correct, or sounds right. I often argue with my brother about what we actually hear, which is so ..r..weird.
Really glad to hear I could help you out :) Ah yes I've had Forget Her requested a fair bit so I really should get round to learning it and making a video of it!
@@davedoingguitar Ah no probs! A new subscriber now :) Not to be a cliche but anything from ten would be awesome! The parts between Mike and Stone are so creative in my opinion, but are trickier for me to differentiate than on their new stuff. Once has got an insane riff.
Thanks so much! Just got my Telecaster into some light compression (Diamond Compressor) and EQ (MXR Six band), some light drive (Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire) and then reverb from a Strymon Flint. The tremolo on the lead line is also from the Flint. And my amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe :)
Thanks so much! Amp was clean (Fender Hot Rod Deluxe) and just had a bit of reverb from a Strymon Flint and some low drive from a Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire :)
The gear I'm using in this vid: Guitar - Fender USA Telecaster Amp - Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Pedals - Strymon Flint for the reverb and the tremolo for the lead line, and some light drive from my Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire. That's about it! :)
You should record guitar covers of all of these songs. The tone along with your playing sounds so great and different from the original.
Thanks so much Sam! Yeah I've done a few Jeff Buckley covers, and for other artists I've made tutorials for as well, I should do some more :)
It's a shame lockdown is over as I could learn Jeff songs all day
Yeah learning tunes sure has been one of the silver linings of lockdown! :)
