part of the reason that Rock n Roll is better in the dark is when you are a performer you are on stage you are surrounded by an endless amount of cables....mic cables, instrument cables, power bars, speaker cables. You feel like you don't have freedom to move around because in most cases you don't. You are trying to have fun and express yourself freely and its amazing to do that when you are trapped and tied down to so many things..... you don't feel like its just you. Its like you are inhibited by a machine that you rely on to get your point of view across. When you are in the dark all of that fades into nothing and you get to shine. Often unaware that at any moment you can fall flat on your face and look the fool.
