- Everybody, back on the tour bus our next concert will be down Memory Lane, revisiting one of the most beloved heartthrobs of the ‘70s: David Cassidy. He was the ultimate combo of talent, charisma, looks, and fame. But was his family life as great as his professional one? How was he as a father? Did he keep a clean reputation as a lovable teen idol? His very own siblings and children paint a picture that’s way messier than his wholesome image.

WERE YOU A FAN OF DAVID CASSIDY? 🤔
I am!
He was my first boyfriend when i was 7 yrs old. He was human and had deamons. 🙏 He was used.
Not at all but I just love Shirley Jones,,,,,,
Yes
Nope.
David was my next door neighbor in FL after he sold the house he and his then ex wife Sue had bought. We lived next to each other in the same condo bldg.David was charming caring and a very dear friend. He had so many demons and he hid his drinking well from those that weren’t around him very often. I loved The Partridge Family when I was only 6 and my Mom took me and 2 friends to see David in concert for my 10th birthday. My good friend took me to see David in concert in Ft Lauderdale and that’s how David and I realized we actually lived next door to each other. I don’t think I’ll ever forget how wonderful a person he was or what a great caring friend either. I’ll miss him for the rest of my life. He was never comfortable with the fame He just wanted to sing and be known as a serious actor. I’ll carry our friendship in my heart forever. We miss you David ❤
He was a legend and Icon of a generation but above all he was a beautiful soul, so kind and caring . A trusted faithful friend to those who knew him. He will be forever loved and missed by those who loved and knew him ❤
He was my next door neighbor when he stayed in guatemala. Did not say much.
fame seems to destroy many people
Pretty cool. Too bad he was already too far down the slippery slope. 😢
❤
I knew David very well. I used to work at a store in Ft Lauderdale and he came in every day. He was the nicest gentleman, I loved talking to him and the day his mother died he cried on my shoulder. I really liked him. it's funny that this said his family was around him when he died and yet 2 years after his death still no one had claimed his body. I read it in the Ft Lauderdale News and I was heartsick. He once told me "I'm one of the few lucky people that gets to do what they love as a profession." He was still touring up until shortly before his death. He told me ahead of time that he was going to be on CSI so I was thrilled to be able to see the episode. Again, such a nice man and a real gentleman. I was honored to have known him.
That just broke my heart. 2 years??? I would think that Shaun or Shirley, or even his ex-wife, would give him the dignity of a final resting place. 😢
No one claimed his body??? How awful. I would think a fan would if they knew. They could have given him one heck of a good funeral. How sad. You were lucky you knew him
Where is David Cassidy’s body now was he ever buried or what happened
Wow he did look like as really nice Guy it’s horrible that his family wouldn’t have claimed his body how could his family be so heartless It’s so nice to hear how people that had the honor to meet him have said nothing but good things about his demeanor Thank you for sharing your story Sir
@@2Ryled That happens so much more than any of us realise
I am a fan of David Cassidy and it is such a shame how his life deteriorated, he was so talented! Rest in peace David 😭
Despite fame and fortune, David Cassidy was very unhappy.
he had beauty and charisma...he was slight in build but more beautiful and sexy than the hunks they go for today...hed beat them all into fits.
All Soul Learning...as we all do...He's in the light of Love now...-!
Angel blessings to all!♡

His father, Jack Cassidy, was an alcoholic who died tragically in a fire in his apartment. It's sad that David was afflicted with alcoholism as well. Thank you for the music, David! 💜
@safeinmyheart~~I know, right~~It's all so sad~~🥲🥲🥲
His dad was quite handsome imo & drinking can run in family's sad to say....

I was a die hard David Cassidy fan! At 10 years old I remember exactly how he made me feel. Didn’t understand it, but wow I was crushing hard! Lol. I had lots of merchandise, saw him in concert twice, and he plastered my bedroom walls. Ah yes, he was responsible for my womanhood awakening! Lol❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
As a young child of 5, I was convinced that he was my future husband and I believe that someone told me he lived a mile down the road from my childhood home in salem no. How the heck I became an unofficial part of his fan club I haven’t s clue. I loved the partridges family and I knew a few of his songs. But I was five. I guess he was that cute and thst charasmatic! I think it wasn’t until prince thst I fell giddy over a singer again.
I don't think I had a crush on another TV family that was as powerful as my love for these characters when I was seven-eleven years old. Danny, Ruben, Keith especially. Their chemistry was magic.
Do a profile of GALE STORM
I liked Shaun Cassidy, his stepbrother. Do the next one him.
I used to think that too but as someone who watched as a child then to look at a re run today. I thought I'd feel the same things but sadly no thru old eyes the show was corny AF and I couldn't watch for more than a few minutes. 😅
The 70s were the best! David lived in lots of girl's hearts.
I saw David in concert several years ago. About twelve…I think I was the only guy there. Four rows from the stage. A fabulous concert in a small area. He played quite a bit of his new music but the crowd really came alive with the Partridge Family music. It was truly magical. Short in stature but a great performer. I wish that his life would have been better but in some ways he was caught in a wave of popularity. RIP buddy….thank you for your music.
Can you imagine the pressure that man was under in the 70s? The P.F. recordings still hold up as some of the best examples of pop from the Bubblegum era.
@seattlebeard And can you imagine how many Sony execs, publicists and agents got filthy, stonking, Ritchie Rich from the worldwide mega-success of the Partridge Family? Those contracts would be legally regarded as exploitative and criminal in this century. /It's almost like young David didn't have anyone to stand between him and Sony, and say No to their slave-driver schedule. There will be hereditary family wealth, assets and trusts in place today from extracting every pound of flesh from that young man. It's a sewer of a business, and the stench was plain in this retelling.
I hate to say that I downloaded all their music on my phone. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE their music!
@@2828PokemonMe too! I “discovered” it last year and love it so much! So good!!❤
...and hit after hit with Not one cuss word not even an innuendoes. The trash that's put out today is sick and children with memorize each word "what a damned shame" !!
I can't fanthom it.
I used to watch the Partridge Family re-runs and David was my first ever crush. I was always sorry that he didn't get more acting roles, I thought he was brilliant as Keith and had a great gift for comedy. We all have demons and it's a tragedy he was never able to shake his. RIP David - I hope he knew that he made many of our lives just a little bit brighter.
I am a storage full of memorabilia of David Cassidy. I followed him since 1969. I was a hard-core Cassidy fan. I adored him.
David had a fantastic voice. His picture was on so many teen magazines.
Leave him alone he’s in heaven now. He was human just like us. We all make mistakes. Don’t judge. God will do that. I liked him a lot. Rest in Peace.
Here Here, couldn't have said it better myself 😊
So true, rest in peace David ....
@I totally agree with you~~Many child stars back in the day, not all, but some either grew up with major problems or died~~So sad~~😮💨😮💨😮💨
True that I liked him 2 😊😊❤
Well said - who's perfect - not me for sure - but I'm not that bad.
The Partridge Family was a wonderful time in life. I was definitely a David fan. I got the opportunity to meet him once. He seemed tired but was still very nice to me. I know he had many issues, and it was hard on him. I hope he is resting and is happy now in the afterlife.
I so wish I got to meet him.
There was something magic about him, truly my one and only crush. If I did get that lucky I don't think I would have been able to speak.
Definitely the best looking man whoever !ived.
I preferred the Partridge Family over the Brady Bunch.
I love David Cassidy! I was so sad that he passed away. He was my favorite and always will be. He was very handsome great singer. He had something amazing about him throughout his entire life. He was very charismatic and magnetic. It’s a shame when someone is so amazing that the world can’t handle that gift. Instead, they destroy it.
My mother loved this man, R.I.P. to them both 🕊🕊
David Cassidy was a wonderful song writer and wrote many famous songs, sung by other musicians.
Such as? ALl his fabulous hits were written by others
I still remember sitting in the school yard with my friends writing fan letters to David Cassidy. I wish there were more joy in his life. He certainly brought it to us
i was at heathrow in 73 when he walked round sion house singing daydreamer, what a beautiful man , looking moody and sweet love that clip.
He was my very 1st heart throb, madly in love with him..loads of posters on my wall, one life size. I played his album Cherish until it practically disintegrated. I hated Susan Dey for being round him in the Partridge Family..😄 .
I didn't get to see him in concert until 2002 in Glasgow, and he sounded just as he did when I was a teenager, and I still remembered all the words to his songs too. For those few hours I was a carefree14 year old again, not a mum or a wife, not thinking about what to cook for tea etc. I still listen to his music today..and it breaks my heart knowing that his fame destroyed his life while giving so much pleasure to his adoring fans. Hope you are at peace now David, I will Cherish you always
Susan Dey was in love with David Cassidy but he only thought of her as a sister.
@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc yes she was...who wasn't 😄I think they dated for a short while, but David realised he didn't feel that way about her, like you said.
@@dragonflydance9204 David and Susan had a one night stand. David said that Susan wasn't slutty enough. He wrote about it in his book and Susan stopped speaking to him for many years.
@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc Oh dear, I didn't know that 🫢🙂
@@dragonflydance9204 Susan Dey was embarrassed when David Cassidy wrote about their one night stand in his book. That's why she avoided the Partridge Family reunions.
In my opinion. He was the greatest teen idol that ever breathed air on the planet earth. Enough said.
beautiful, and charisma too.
...and then there was Bobby Sherman from "Here Comes The Brides"
He and Ricky Nelson. Both so dreamy.
The Partridge Family was my favorite tv show back in the day. David Cassidy was a very talented person as well his step- mother Shirley Jones and dad Jack Cassidy. R. I. P. David Cassidy.
As a 62yr old, I idolized him and the cast. The excitement, it brought. As a kid. Oh well, I hope he was a good father, and his kids don't hate him. And again the thieves, who stole, his life's earnings. God Bless you, David. Thank you, for the joy, excitement and happiness, the nights The Partridge Family was on. And your Teen love songs, that made me, fall in love with, Girls. In otherwise, an abusive and hateful, life I grew up in. All my Love.
I was a huge fan of the Partridge Family, especially David! I remember watching the show every week and then riding my bike to KMart to buy the new 45 single every week! David Cassidy toured during that time with his own band; my dad took me & a friend to see him in concert and you couldn't hear anything but a coliseum full of us screaming 10 yr old girls! The Partridge Family actually had good songs. Sometimes I still listen to them. It was, of course, only David singing on the records with Shirley Jones on backing vocals and a studio band. Great memories.
My favorite song by David is I think I love you & yes I grew up listening to David Cassidy & his music & still like him today & still listen to his music. David had a great voice & was a beautiful man when he was younger. R.I.P David you will always be loved & missed & never forgotten.
Yes, I loved "I think I love you". David was so handsome and sweet, may he rest in peace.

I watched David's dad on Colombo, back here in Britain during the 70s when I was growing up, and no idea that they was father and son, had his dad's looks there, especially in the smile!
I was a big fan of his and the show. My grandmother was his private nurse for a while and he would send me gifts with his autograph. My favorite was a bank in the form of snoopy sitting ontop of his doghouse. Gone are the gifts but the memories remain ❤
David Cassidy, my one and only pop star crush, What a beautiful man, with a beautiful voice, God bless his soul.
I liked David. My favorite song of his was “Cherish “. I enjoyed The Partridge Family very much. I’m sorry he had such a hard time in life. He died too soon.
Thank you all.😀
I fell in love with David Cassidy as soon as he hit the music scene in the UK. Along with the Partridge Family, I just couldn't get enough! And yes, I did join the fan club. I was 16 when he played at Wembley and I still have the pillow case that I bought there (with his head printed to one side) to this day. I'm 6wks off of 67. That's a long time to keep a pillow case. I have to point out, I haven't slept on it for about 49 of those years, lol.
David's death in 2017 hit me pretty hard.
I was 11 when the Partridge Family aired and I immediately fell in love with David Cassidy! My best friend at the time, and I saw David in concert on the Steele Pier in Atlantic City in the summer of 1973. The entire room was a "Scream Fest" but, we didn't care long as we saw him. When you're young and idolize someone, you never realize what Hell this person may be going through in their personal life! I'm so sad that his life was so Tragic. R.I.P. David Cassidy! You were a Big Part of my early pre-teen years!
Me too 😮
Truth Indeed
"Can't Get No Satisfaction"...
The Steel Pier theme song...I watched it in my young summers along with American Bandstand...
The BEST Years!
Yes I was and still am a fan.
David’s life challenges were extensive. Let’s not forget this if we are to judge him. Personally I prefer not to judge anyone. Especially someone that made so many of us smile.
We all have things we are not proud of
Not my place to judge him. I just have confusion and curiosity about him. How do these actors end up in Beverly Hills while others who have extremely popular shows like he did be poor? How did he feel lonely when he had family and friends? What would have killed the loneliness in him? Was his stepmother screwed over by the people paying the stars on "Partridge Family" too?
David sold out bigger coliseums and higher record sales than the Beetles and Elvis. Everyone else is below Elvis and Beetles except David. David was a excellent showman and had a heart of gold. He stopped touring when that little girl died at his concert but her parents tried to tell him she was dying from heart defect. It just happened at his concert.
You just judged his life challenges as 'extensive'.
You judged him.
We are all human and therefore flawed. As a result, we all will do things we might not do in other situations. There but for the grace of God, go I. We are better off not judging others because we do not have the exact same life.
I was a fan of David and his music. I never missed an airing of The Partridge Family. Rest in peace, David.
I seen David Cassidy in person three times I went to his concerts. He was nothing but sweet and generous. He is a very good talent. He was pure perfection. Listen to this day.
In those days that show contributed to a happy vibe, that was around,a sense of wonderment about the future, that wasn,t overly tarnished with negativity, perhaps naive in a way,but definitly a feeling of contentment, peace, and happiness, for everyone in general, amazing vibe
I still like watching the re-runs! I was 12 when it it first came out on tv.He had a very nice voice and was a handsome young man .Hollywood destroys people .Lots of young talented people have been ruined by fame and fortune .I pray that the Lord had mercy on him and that he is in heaven now.❤
He had a wonderful smile.
Dave was awesome and his dad was a great actor. A friend of mine (Jack Miller) was executive writing consultant on "David Cassidy Man Undercover". He told me that David was super nice to work with.
At 66 I still remember their music, the t.v. show and all the teen magazines that featured David. I still at 66 have their first record album. I don't think any one of his fans knew how miserable he really was..🤷... It seems all too common that the biggest stars seem to fall the furthest....🌠....So sad ...😟
I had the biggest crush on him when the Partridge Family came out. I thought he was just gorgeous. Then in the late eighties, I was a movie extra in a film he was in. I was sitting on a stair case with some other extra's in between scenes when suddenly there he was coming up the stairs. He looked at me and another girl and asked how we were doing. I couldn't believe it. I remember vividly how beautiful his eyes were.
Yes! his talking eyes 🌷
I will never get tired of Rock you baby. I love David Cassidys voice and music. I still play it from time to time. ❤❤
So sad. Fame can really mess people up.
We met David at Carl and Gina Wilson’s wedding. He was very sweet and was truly shocked that we (anyone) recognized him. Very kind man.

I loved David Cassidy. All time fave idol. Watched every episode of Partridge Family and bought all his records. Saw him on stage in London. He was in a stage musical. So sad when he passed away still quite young.

I was a huge fan of David and Shaun Cassidy ❤. I didn't miss an episode! It's really sad what happened to him.
I really love David. His fan club got bigger than Elvis's and the Beatles at one time. Terrific singing voice and so gorgeous. Never got the recognition he deserved.
I adored David Cassidy ❤
Me too gorgeous men ever.
He was human, that simple. It's a shame people these days have no loyalty to anyone.
I love David Cassidy he was my first love , this beautiful man with so much pain, miss you forever David saw you once when you came to Scotland still felt the same 50 yrs later RIP .
My husband went to school with David when in high school. They were just school mates together back in the late 60s. I had a one time dance with David at my husband’s high school reunion in 1988. I never had a crush on him yet it was nice to have a dance with him. He was a very nice person as I recall. And, it was a delightful experience to meet him and to have a dance with him. My husband took a picture of my chance in sharing a dance with his nice school mate. I wish I could find the picture but it has been buried with all of our pictures. Otherwise, I would post it.
I went to Rexford with David. I may have known your husband.

I loved David. I have his autograph. I will always treasure it.
His version of Cherish is my go-to.
Remember also, that his solo career went on A LOT longer outside the US than here. He had many more hits in the UK, for example long after The Partidge Family.
I like his version of Breaking Up is Hard to Do.
love daydreamer too, i was at heathrow in 73 , he sang and walked round sion house in london when he sang daydreamer...beautiful vidio.
Loved him, loved the show, loved the music and how he made us feel. Such a shame we couldn’t do the same for him. Managed to see him towards the end of his life - in concert - he was still great. Still love his songs and voice . . . My walls were covered with David Cassidy and Marc Bolan/T. Rex. Wish he’d had a happier life - like he gave us. RIP David. ❤
Seeing them on Broadway was everything David and Sean. They got standing ovations every single night. I saw him in Joseph and the amazing Technicolor dreamcoat. Blood Brothers. So talented.
I loved the show, The Partridge Family. Watch all the episodes. I was also a fan of Shirley Jones in movies as well as her voice. I still have the albums and remember the songs he sung and how I felt when he sang. I was sad when I heard about the fire and his father. Fans rarely have a true vision of the public and private lives these people lead and how fame is a very mixed bag of results for these very public people. Rest In Peace David.
The thing about David was that unlike many teen idols of the early ‘70’s, he really had talent! His problem was that he got so overwhelmed by how everyone was treating him as a famous person. He even outshone for a while both his dad and stepmom. Jack even got jealous of him once demanding a share in the income he was making! But Jack was bipolar, and he died in a fire from a lit cigarette in 1976.
Too, there was a 14-year-old fan in the UK who had a heart condition and the stampede she happened to be in rushed at David at a concert there. She would die shortly thereafter. David was so horrified over what happened he called the girls parents and talked with them for a while. He did not go to the funeral for fear of the fans and the media reaction. David would later say that what happened would haunt him the rest of his life.
So really it was so any things happening to him in a short space of time that led to all of his troubles!
yes it horrified him , he didnt do concerts after that and soon after left the partridge family too...kind lovely man.
Even after one has passed away some feel they have to
bring up their past.
Just let him rest in piece.
Well, it was the way he passed, so tragic. Alcoholism is a disease, and people were so affected by the loss. He was still a young man, and people loved him. How he died matters, and it highlights the fact that even major celebrities are human, have frailties, and have dreams that are never realized. I don't see any blame or judgement here, just tributes from fans who wish they could have spared this man his pain. He was obviously a highly sensitive person thrust into a business that is anything but that.
I wanted to be David Cassidy as a kid. lol I went on to study voice and became a pro/semi pro musician/performer. Loved the Partridge Family! RIP David.
He is a good man . Loved and missed by many.

I absolutely loved and adored David Cassidy he was just gorgeous that hair that smile those eyes and that voice perfection. RIP DAViD ❤️🌹I saw him twice in concert in Australia I have a signed photograph and in the early 70s he recorded a message to his fans it was on a thin plastic record which you placed on a 45 record to hear what he said it was inside melody maker he had the most gorgeous speaking voice❤️❤️
Ran into him couple of times at Hollywood clubs during the 70's - Fav solo: 'No Bridge I Wouldn't Cross' - no river too wide ...😉😎
"Partridge Family" was one of my favourite programmes. I enjoyed their sound, their music and the story lines, silly as they were that is the nature of sitcoms. David himself was my second hollywood crush, Johnny Crawford was the first. I was fortunate enough to have seen David in concert only once at Busch Gardens in Tampa just a couple of years before he died.
I had a huge crush on him when I was young, and had his poster on my wall! Yes, The Partridge Family was a big part of it. RIP David
I still have my Partridge Family and David Cassidy albums. Some really good music on some of them. 'Where is the morning?' 'Go now' Brand new me' Looking through the eyes of love' (one of my first singles). And of course, 'I am a clown'. Fame can be so cruel. David even made the album 'The higher they climb'. With the sleeve somehow depicting his unfortunate future. RIP David, thank you for your music, it played a big part in my life.
I saw him on Broadway in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was phenomenal. He was a great performer and I had forgotten about what a fantastic voice he had.
Well we all know how he ended up as an old man, but what an exceptional young man he was, I would have loved to be him, but could not have passed it off ,how exhausted must he have been for so many years, not many have given so much for so little in return, but will never be forgotten, thanks david I cherish your music now more than ever ❤
I met David at an autograph-signing in 1992 at a Strawberries record store in Boston, MA. He was a very sweet and humble man.
Oh my! I was going to type that. I met him at that Strawberries on Washington Street too across from what was Filene's! I think he was in a play called Blood Brothers w/ Shaun that came to Boston. I can't remember if he was in town for that or that was way after the Strawberries visit.
So sorry David went through so much Hope He is in Peace ☮️ of Heaven He was A wonderful Singer and Actor
David was truly financially exploited at his peak - sad story....
David and I went to Rexford High School together. We were good friends for many years. Substance abuse swept through all of us like wildfire. His best friend didn’t live to his twenties. Some of us cleaned up, got help, and recovered. David never got the help he needed and the whole star machine drove him to the breaking point. He was a WONDERFUL human being and I still mourn the loss of him.
David Cassidy was my first real celebrity crush. I was maybe 11 or 12. Still love his music. I remember watching “The Last Sessions “ that aired a few weeks after he died. Broke my heart. He was so obviously sick.
Broke mine, too. That was difficult to watch.
I was totally in love with David at the age of 2. Watched every show and was upset that I couldn’t go to his concert, because my parents wouldn’t let me. During the years I followed his carreer, even visited London while he was performing there in the theatre. I still have all the albums.
Give and take 50 years later, I heard about his passing. Never expected I was so upset about it. Thanks for everything you have given us, and so sorry that “we the fans” were part of the cause of his adiction.
Love always….
Me, too. It was so sad. I felt like someone punched me in the gut. I literally loved the guy when I was in Junior High. I honestly wanted to marry him! Getting a 7th-row seat to his concert in Denver was one of the highlights of my young life. I can't tell you how many moments of pure joy he and The Partridge Family gave me, and many of my friends. So ironic that this young man who made so many people happy had such a sad ending. RIP.
He was my first love, when I was about 7. It was like watching an angel.. literally😪💔💜💔
I was a fan of both, David and the show. I was glad to hear he and Susan Dey gave romance a chance. This video actually showed them kissing…wow. I had never heard that before.
The show was funny and endearing. I always loved watching them.

Yes, I was a fan of both the Partridge Family and David as a solo artist. I had all their records and saw him in concert in Melbourne when I was about 18 years old. His concert was at the MCG, Melbourne’s main sporting arena, and I took my younger sisters and cousins as well. It was at the height of his solo career and was a wonderful concert. It was a shame that his life turned out like it did and he died an unhappy person. We are blessed to have his music to listen to. May he Rest in Peace. With best wishes from Down Under 😘💕🇦🇺.
I was at that same concert at the MCG as a 14yr old boy surrounded by screaming girls haha I'm now 63yrs of age back in the UK.. Great era times living in Melbourne loved the Partridge family.. He should be still with us today all the greats pass too soon.. Rest in peace man... Why has the music stopped it hasn't I'm just a Daydreamer!!!
Yep, I was there. And the one in 2002.
Love David Cassidy , love his songs " Cherish" and" i think i love you" also in the partridge Family so sad he such had a troubled life.😔😢💔 RIP David 🤍🕯️🤍

Life is like a book. Each day is like a page. As the day passes like when the page is turned there lies a different part of the story called life. If you give up and die you won't know how the story ends. Read on and live on!!
Thanks for the inspiring words to both of you!! You never know who needs to "hear" them.
Thank you for your encouragement.
I have the Partridge Family Christmas Album! He was so handsome and step mom Shirley Jones, the most beautiful lady who could have been Miss America; his birth parents were gorgeously good-looking too. Didn't know of his alcoholism or family issues -- very sad but he's in a better place now. RIP, David Cassidy.
Nostalgic Nick, you have the horse before the cart with regards to "putting his musical talents to use" (@02:12 here). David’s cover of “Cherish”, was released in November 1971. He launched his solo career only after being catapulted to fame on the show and having (at least) four megahit singles (and three charting LPs) as The Partridge Family’s lead: “I Think I Love You” in August 1970, followed by “Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted” in Jan 1971, “I’ll Meet You Halfway” in April 1971, and “I Woke up in Love This Morning” in July 1971. The albums were The Partridge Family Album (Oct 1970 reached Billboard #4), Up to Date (Feb 1971 Billboard #3), Sound Magazine (August 1971 Billboard #13).
Yes I was a huge David Cassidy fan! loved watching the Partridge Family and I loved the magazines where I could find all the idols in!
I met him in the 70’s. My husband was in radio and was asked to pick him up at the airport before his concert. My
niece was 9 and loved him. We
followed them to his hotel and we met him. He was wonderful and kissed my niece and I don’t think she washed her cheek for a year.
His concert was very good. I always respected him for how he was with her. He was a real gentleman.
I grew up watching the Partridge family In the 60's and as a young teenager. David did a concert at the San Diego County Fair In 2013 or 2014 possibly. He was really sick he said and had 102 degree fever but, he didn't want to let his fans down. He even asked to sit down on stage so he could finish his show. He received such a great response from the audience. All things considered he did a great performance. I'm so glad I was able to see him perform.
I had a tremendous crush on David and Shaun back in the day. David greatly favored his father in physical appearance and mannerisms. It was sad to see his deterioration toward the end of his life. May David and Jack both rest in peace.
I watched a biography on David Cassidy and he talked about how he always wanted his dad's approval and attention but really never got it. I think that played a part in his drinking too.😢
I loved David. He and Peter Tork were my first crushes. I loved the PF show a lot also. Too bad I never got to see him or the Monkees in concert. RIP David! 💔😔
I really liked David Cassidy. RIP David.❤🌹 I also like Shirley Jones (now 89 yrs old) & Danny Bonaduce.
When we were young teenagers, Danny B lived near my home. He hung out at the local bowling alley. And the youngest Partridge attended my elementary school for a couple days, but the kids were mean to her. I felt sorry for her. I wasn't a David Cassidy fan, but I heard his "I think I love you" song a lot. Probably watched every episode of the Partridge Family, as well as the Hardy Boys starring Sean.
I was a David Cassidy fan from about the age of 12 ish, and still am at 65. I loved his voice and I thought he was gorgeous 🤭 one of my favourite songs of his was “ I am a clown “ I found it quite sad in a way, and I think it must have reflected what was going on in his life although I didn’t know it at the time. I found some of his songs on UA-cam and it took me back years. God bless him ❤
i think my fave song was "I am a clown" too
@@loonylinda I think I.. ❤ you😂
I love David Cassidy, my favourite song is Cherish, beautiful.
What a sad story
If only we could write our own life story…..life just doesn’t work out like we wish it would.
