@@tsilva2183 She was neither good or bad. She just was. But when Demeter was looking for her daughter Persephone after Hades had kidnapped her, Hecate gave Demeter her torches to help light her way in the dark.
Full version of what? This scene, Penny Dreadful itself. These were the most terrifying witches I have ever scene. RIP Helen McCroy. So said she was so talented and married to Damien Lewis. Lucky woman. Hecate was great too especially in the third season Such a shame the series ended after three seasons. It is one of the best underrated series on cable. Billie Piper as Lily, Bride of Frankenstein was so good too.
+w4cht3l It's essentially traditional english/irish folk-music. A lot of traditional irish songs sound like this, and are often quite beautiful (and sad).
The most unrealistic thing about this scene is a woman burning down a beautiful home and all the goodies therein that she basically would've inherited for free. Imagine a divorced woman saying, *_"Nah, I don't want half your stuff, the kids' child support, or alimony for life BUT...I WILL take your doll-making tools and the box they came in. ThAnK yOu!"_*
She was after her warewolf lover. I know it doesn't make sense. She hated her mom too. Her mom threw her to Lucifer by the age of 3 or 5 as long as I know.
Evelyn should have know better than naming her daughter the goddess of witchcraft, it predicts her undoing and her daughter's rivalry.
+bailey guan Good observation. I was of the same thinking as well but thought no one would dare think the same. Thank you. See you at Season 3.
True, but Hecate wasn't all bad if i remember my reading from years ago. Lots of good witches still reach out to her today.
