Wow! Looks like Autumn is the time to experience the North Cascades! Gorgeous hikes! Coffee, coffee, coffee!!! Happy Travels!
It was beautiful! Would recommend going a couple of weeks before we did. Maybe the first part of October. We had way less crowds though and no complaints. 😊 Thanks for always following along! All our best!
KeeHee...Carnivorous Trees. Beautiful contrast between the Larches/Blue Lake and your lush campsite! What a fun video! Thanks guys!
😂🤣😂 Thanks so much! It was a fun one to make and we’re glad you enjoyed it. Such a pretty area!
Brian is a little cranky pants before his coffee!! Lol
Savory smores FTW! Gotta say Em, your editing skills are amazing! 🤩 living for your vids 🎉
Haha!! He is totally cranky. It’s not very often, but when he doesn’t have his coffee… 🤣
Yes! You guys have to hop on the savory s’mores trend. So good!
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoy the vids. It’s been a lot of fun learning how to put them together. 🥰
I feel ya Brian, I don’t want to be around anyone til I have coffee. Beautiful scenery though!
Haha, Brian definitely needs his caffeine fix before interacting with the world! 😂 Thank you! Have you guys ever been up here? If not, put it on your list. We can’t wait to return and maybe do some backpacking.
@@AdventureOutThere we added it to our list after watching this :)
Glad you got to experience the north cascades. I live in Washington and you have lots of great places to explore depending on how long you stay in the state. Thanks for taking us along. Have fun!
Thank you! It is such a beautiful state! We feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface and can’t wait to explore more. Cheers!
@ if you like the desert feel, try lake chelan. You may enjoy eastern Washington
@ Thanks! It’s always good to have “drier” options when the weather starts to hit. Appreciate it!
Brain happy you got your coffee. lol enjoy all your videos another exciting beautiful adventure . Have fun stay warm.
Haha!! Thanks so much! Appreciate you following along. All our best!
We traveled there via Bellingham a couple of years ago and sadly did not have more than a few hours, but what we saw was amazing. Glad you guys enjoyed it!
Thank you! Hope you can make a return trip someday. There’s so much to explore!
Some awesome footage! What an incredible adventure. You two are living the dream. 😊 🍁 🌲 🌳
Thanks so much! We feel incredibly grateful to visit places like this on our journey! Definitely trying to soak it all in while we can. 😊
Really loving your videos guys. Well done on breaking away from the day jobs and seeing what there is out there. Our Sprinter is still being converted but we hope to do a similar thing, albeit in the UK 🇬🇧 and Europe. All the best!
Thanks so much for stopping by and letting us know you enjoy the vids! Congrats on your build and all the adventures that lie ahead. We would love to do van life in Europe someday… 😊 Cheers!
Absolutely love it! I always enjoy your guy's videos
We appreciate that so much! Thanks for watching!
Wow, as I watched this I realized we have hiked that trail to Blue Lake. One or our favorite day hikes. I’ve been watching you since day 1 - an awesome adventure. We have a sprinter as well (from the Sacto area), but we are not full time (maybe someday). We love being able to arrive early at a trailhead (or Lake Louise like you did) and have our coffee. Bummer, Brian missed out this time. Safe travels!
Nice!! It is such a beautiful hike and we hope to do it again. You are absolutely right. Being able to show up at a trailhead early and have breakfast (and sometime coffee 😂) is such a perk. Also looking forward to doing the same during ski season.
Hope you have some fun van life adventures ahead. All our best!
Another enjoyable video. Amazing content we are so jealous. Thanks again for sharing your adventures.❤
Thanks so much for letting us know! We really appreciate you following along! All our best.
*don’t mind the channel name change* 😅 Such a beautiful video! ooo I can understand being grumpy with no caffeine 😂
Good finding skills girl! haha
Also, this is why I love Starlink! You just never know! 💕
Hi Stelly! We like the name change!
Yeah… Brian without coffee in the morning is rough. He protested the whole hike. 😂
Agree, Starlink comes in clutch for things like this! It’s not just for entertainment/work, but also safety.
Have a great day!
@ Soo true!!! You too! ❤️
Beautiful views. Thanks for sharing. On my list of must see’s.
So glad you enjoyed it! You’ll absolutely love it!!
Nothing beats a good old fashioned percolator ;)
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
@@AdventureOutThere I'm old, I can't EVEN move on with my day without coffee, certainly wouldn't be able to do a hike lmao, so Brian wins awards for manning TF up with a hike on a no coffee brain ;) He is way stronger than I......
@@TheAngryCamper Hahaha!! He did it, but was angry the whole time. 😂
@@AdventureOutThere Not all heroes wear capes lmao
@ hahahaha!!!
MacGyver that coffee situation. Heat water in a pot / pan! Problem solved, Brian has Coffee.
Hahaha!! That is where being too lazy prevents coffee from happening. 😂
@@AdventureOutThere Lazy? i find that hard to believe from a guy who spent half a day boiling Sap and making wood shavings to make homemade fire starters. lol
@ Hahaha!!! This is true. 😂
Living my dream!
Also, just boil your water on the burner! I can’t get my day started without having my morning coffee.
Thanks!! At that point, I think Brian was just protesting because he couldn’t find the bottom of the teakettle. 😂
We lived in Seattle for almost 20 years, don’t miss much other than the Cascades & Olympics.
We haven’t spent a lot of time exploring Seattle, but would love to get to the Cascades and Olympics as much as we can. Such a beautiful area!
@ every day off in the woods. That is how you deal with city people.
@@andrewingram2108 Hahahahaa!!! No comment. 🥴
Great video! I Enjoy following along with your adventures! Sending Thanks from Louisiana for the inspo ❤
Thank you so much! We’re glad you’re enjoying the ride with us from Louisiana!
Beautiful area thank you
@@dnjones3685 Thank you for watching and commenting! 😊
Awesome area. Are the many dispersed camp sites? Least visited sounds great....Happy Trails 🐕
Thanks! There are definitely some dispersed areas outside of the park. Weather was coming in so we didn’t have any more time to explore those on this trip, but would love to in the future.
Amazing! and I’m jealous. It’s a trip from Texas I’ll hope to make someday
Thanks! We’re glad you enjoyed it and hope it inspires your own trip someday! It’s definitely a wonderful place to explore. All our best!
wow beautiful views and that was pretty funny when he finally got his coffee 😂 You ever watch the tv show Ally Mcbeal? made me think of the episode where they enjoy the first sip... if you haven't seen it be prepared to laugh. Mmm now I'm wanting some cheese and salami or a cheese ball... a holiday favorite. I did just got some eggnog to add to my coffee. Will you be doing Thanksgiving in the van? or visiting family? Stay safe and take care.
Haha!! We don’t know that episode, but will definitely be looking it up. 😂
Salami cheese ball and eggnog in coffee both sound amazing! We might have to make that a thing.
We will be doing Thanksgiving in the van, but meeting up with some family for some camping. We usually camp every year on Thanksgiving with family and do a big meal over the campfire. More on that to come! 😀
All our best!
The river by your campground is absolutely grogeous!! Can I ask what the campground was called? We are gong to WA next fall, and I'd love to snag a spot there. Thank you!!
That is the Skagit River and the campground we stayed at is Goodell Creek. It was a very heavily forested area, but the river beach is amazing. Just make sure to get reservations early, as it is known to fill up during the summer season. Hope that helps! Happy camping!
@@AdventureOutThere Do you remember what site number you were at that you loved? It's always so hard to tell online. HAHA!! Also, where was that last hike? You mentioned a state park, but I was'nt sure where. Thank you for answering I appreciate it.
@@kristasahlin We are pretty sure that we were at site #10. Sites #7, 11, and 12 were also pretty good. The last hike we did was the Evergreen Trail in Rockport State Park. Hope that helps! Have fun!
Skagit is pronounced ska-jit. Almost everyone who doesn’t live here says it with a hard g. Now you are in the know. 😉
Thanks for letting us know! We’re definitely not from around here, but can’t wait to come back and pronounce it correctly next time. 😊
I just came to say the same thing. 🤣
@ thanks for letting us know 😆
Is that an aeropress you use? I’ve been eyeing their black Friday sale… do you love it?
Yes, that is an Aeropress. It is the travel size one and we do absolutely love it for a great cup of coffee living on the road!
Where was that campsite ? Looks amazing
That was Goodell Creek. Sounds like it’s pretty popular during the summer and you probably need a reservation, but it’s free and first come first serve in the off months. Definitely worth checking out!
Silly question. What is the name of the grinder and type plus the press you use. I'm glad you got your coffee. Cheers, Alan
Hi Alan! Not a silly question at all. The grinder is an Akirakoki and the press is an Aeropress. I’ll link both of them below! Hope that helps!

@ thank you. I like a good cup of Joe.
It was then that the grumpy little B..rian built a fire in the trash can of the parking lot in which to boil water for his coffee. ;)
Hahahahaaa!!! 😂 🤣 It was close…
newb question: do you do anything special to your rv to stay overnight in under freezing temperatures (< 0C)?
Great question! We have an Espar heater that runs off our diesel. When it’s really cold out, we’ll program it to come on during certain times during the night like midnight, 3 am, and 6 am. Hope that helps!
@@AdventureOutThere Thanks for quick reply! Is car water (fresh&gray) tank exposed to external code air that could cause water freeze?
@ another good question! All our water is inside, so we don’t have to worry about it freezing on the outside.
um.... you don't have a pot to boil water?
@@AdventureOtaku 😂 That would have required digging it out of the drawer and Brian was too lazy that early in the morning. But wasn’t lazy enough to spend 10 minutes looking for it. 🤔
That was a well-deserved coffee, brian 😂.. i would've tore that van apart before starting the day without coffee.. nope.. 🫡
Hahaha!! He almost did, but then he was protesting. 😂
