I’m so sorry that the beautiful people of Japan suffered such tragedy, especially as such a young child. It had to be terrifying. I live straight across the ocean from you on the west coast of Vancouver Island in Canada, where a lot of debris washed up. I’ve felt earthquakes several times but never experienced a tsunami and I hope we never do. But living in the ring of fire I know that some day our time will come. I hope that when it does we are able to react with the same strength and determination as the people of Japan have. I hope you never ever have to experience that devastation again. Be safe my friend 🇨🇦🇯🇵
I've seen many videos of people risking their own lives to try to help others from incoming flood waters. Their courage is amazing...they are heroes. The teachers running with carts of small children and those trying to save elderly in their wheelchairs truly shows the depths of the human spirit and that we are capable of such beautiful things. My heart aches for the Japanese people when I watch the videos from this day. I cannot imagine the suffering from losing their homes, pets, families, work places...their entire lives within minutes. I pray they continue to be blessed with health and peace. Much love from Michigan, USA.
Watching the gates on the Tsunami Barrier being closed gives insight not only into how HUGE this Tsunami was, but also its power of it as many of the gates were just torn off & the sea walls toppled. My Japanese is limited but this needs no translation, seeing the children's fear broke my heart & still hurts 10 years later.🧡🙏🧡Japan
This was a marvelous video, showing details and responses I’ve not seen in any other video on the 11 March earthquake and tsunami. Thank you for stabilizing the image and for posting.
This was the most reassuring video that people were being warned about the tsunami audibly. So many videos without anyone shouting out to warn others. Well done to this man. He probably helped save a lot of lives🙏🏻👏

Interesting to see that this video includes the closing of the metal doors in the tsunami wall - which unfortunately probably didn't make any difference here, because the water just overtopped the wall anyway - as well as the evacuated school kids, in a safe place.
