@@itscharlieschannel when working on games for months at a time, it's not uncommon to run into a problem that has no reasonable solution at a certain time and then to not know exactly when it's been fixed. 5.2 isn't exactly old at this point, and if the last time you thought about this issue was the previous episodes here, it would, as mentioned in the video, seem that the resolution was only temporary. Did you come here just to complain? Anyway, this is a great video. I found out about this a few weeks ago myself and I'm glad to see it seems to be the current "right way" of doing this.
@@ZemiousKatarn yeah I myself haven't been using anything that I need to change the pivot points since discovering the bug in 5.3... I'm also not paying them any mind. Like congratulations they knew. I didn't. Haha.
@@ZemiousKatarn When did a complain? I haven't complained yet. You even agree that the feature isn't old. Its been in unreal for well over a year now, probably longer. I am stating a fact, that this isn't a new "fix". I did a quick google search and it says this feature even existing in the late editions of Unreal 4. The data could be wrong that i've googled as unreal documentation isn't always perfect, but this isn't new, nor a new fix/feature. Its new to you, sure. but certainly not new.
@@GamesbyArtemise I am not scolding you for not knowing, I am simply stating this isn't new and you are wrong for saying it is. I don't expect everyone to know everything with unreal, its a large software. I am just correcting you. Thats what you do with coding. Find an error, correct it, and move on.
Hello Matt! I have a question about directional light. When using the shortcut Control + L to switch between day and night instead of a full day cycle blueprint, is it possible to make the lights automatically turn on and off?
W video!
in 3 min you helped me!
That’s amazing to hear!
great video - thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks!
No problem!
I can't tell you how many times I've brought a mesh in and the pivot point was really far away from the mesh. Thanks!!!
Oh nice. Im glad this seems to be fixed now!
fixed? Its been this way since, 5.3 or 5.2, no?

This only works some times. I tried it several times and there are meshes I am not allowed to apply this
Oh interesting, I’ve not come across that before. Is there a pattern to which meshes it doesn’t work on?
