  • In this event, Professor Chomsky addresses some of the most pressing concerns surrounding the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan, including Taliban rule, US policy in Afghanistan post 9/11, drone warfare, the refugee crisis, and future solutions. He also took questions from an online audience.

    Part 1
Professor Noam Chomsky spoke on the critical above-mentioned issues with our host Joe Glenton, who is a former British Army veteran. An online audience Q&A session followed.
    Part 2
We heard from two panellists - Dr Althea-Maria Rivas, Senior Lecturer, Gender, Peace and Conflict, Department of Development Studies, SOAS, and former Afghan Minister Nargis Nehan, who elaborated on some of the issues from part 1 with Joe Glenton.
