It was the audio version for me - and I think having a book read by its author (if said author knows how to do it) is the way to go. Though I'm considering buying the book just to have it on my shelf.
Jed, you gotta start including an Amazon Associate link in the description on these videos, bro. Missing a good additional opportunity to have viewers support the channel here. A lot of us probably watched this then looked for a link to buy L&L, didn't find one, and went to Amazon anyway. Bought your 'how to commission a novel cover' PDF yesterday. The contract example is useful for anyone intending to self-publish using a commissioned cover.
@@Jed_Herne I did some googling and couldn't find that PDF on commissioning a novel cover. Could you drop a link? That's exactly the problem I'm trying to solve right now. And I also just pre-ordered L&L!
Thank you so much for having Travis Baldree on your show, Jed!! I pre-ordered this as an e-book when Amazon recommended it to me, based on other books I've read. I had no idea who Travis Baldree was and saw no hype vehicles for it. He's right- I saw the cover and title, then I knew exactly what I was going to get. I wanted a sappy, Sapphic story that warms the heart. Also, strong, queer, half-orc ladies are my jam for RPGs, so it was a given that I would pick up this book!
I'm begging someone to ask Travis if he used a particular outlining format (like Save the Cat)! How'd he go from pantser who couldn't finish NaNoWriMo to writing a bestseller in a month?!
Think I'm going to have to get his book now! I'd seen it reviewed somewhere and wondered if I should! Now I know I have to. Great interview as always guys.
Ive watched a few of these now and LOVE them! However... for GODS sake stop chewing gum and vaping during interviews. Nails on a chalkboard. Travis is amazing. While he says in part one the narrator doesnt sell the book I have to admit I have tried many audiobooks because he was the narrator. Its also so very true that a bad narrator will sink the ship. Its great to hear his side of the business. Excellent episode guys!
Hey! I wanted to tell you somethin amazing: Jesus died on the cross to bear our sins, and become the ultimate Sacrifice. Jesus paid the dept we owed, and now if we believe in Jesus, and repent of our sins we can go to Heaven instead of hell. Jesus is going to come back soon, so we need to be prepared and ready for that day when He will separate people as a shepherd separated sheep from goats. ❤️
These interviews with Travis were just as cozy as Legends and Lattes. His story makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic would be considered cozy fantasy.
Is told Studio Gibli is cozy fantasy. Watches Princess Mononoke.
I have listened to so many hours of Travis' narration, it feels a little strange to hear him speak normally.
Man it seems like after Joe came on the subscribers done sky rocket. This is long overdue for these guys. Love that it is getting recognized.
Agreed!
Cheers!

Legends and Lattes actually got me to start writing again

Mmm that's a great point, I should really start doing that - I appreciate the support, and I hope the PDF is helpful!

I really love this podcast. Thank you! Greetings from Spain 😊
Glad you enjoy it!
Great story. I just finished a first draft and I'm on pins and needles.
@jorje0068 how is it going? This is very cool to hear that you're writing! how is the editing? ruthless as the guys are coaching? :D
@@RocamboleMan still waiting on a review. I feel confident. I'm bringing back 90s sensibilities

Totally agree with the STP comments.

I bought his book because of the narration and I wanted to support him. It ended up being a lovely story.
Smacking on gum during an interview is just rude d-rick
Another great episode, going to buy this one.
Enjoy!
I hear Arthur Leywin in his voice😭
