    Amazing how people expect food with a 25 year shelf life at an extremely affordable price to be some amazing 5 star meal. If you are in a situation where you need to eat this... you're going to be drooling for this vs the breadline and sawdust everyone else will be eating. If it is at a bare minimum of "Meh, OK" you are more than lucky to have a huge supply of it in a famine situation.

      That is very true, however my thoughts about the taste are more for helping those with children how can be picky eaters at the best of times know what the chances are to get th to eat it. Also not all foods like this are created equal so taste is a factor in that as well.

      you are right. My grandfather told horror stories of the 1954 famine in Noth Vietnam. he said people were so hungry that they ate anything they find and kill each other for some bread crumbs. So, what we have here would be 5 stars food in such famine.

    In a real survival situation you will be surprised what you will eat and like it or not. Also you won't have items to doctor up these products. As for the resealable bags is nice to have. You can even use them for items other then food if needed.

    When the potato famine was going on in Ireland they found entire families with stomachs full of grass and their hands died green from shoving it in their mouths starved to death on the side of the roads. You will literally eat anything when you are hungry. Sure you want it to taste good but you will eat rotting meat (and can) if you are hungry enough. Also you can just put water in the pouches and just wait for it to re-hydrate. It takes about an hour without heating it.

      What I have always done is just keep at least 6 months of various shelf stored items that have long storage life. Then I always add them to my normal meals and replenish my supply. This way I always have at least 6 months of food in storage. Btw, I always keep a year's supply of toilet paper and stuff like that also. The only thing I was caught off guard on during Covid was masks. They are so easy to make and most people only need a few. So, I didn't think we would run out so fast. I did have 4 N95s already though. Still, not knowing how long covid would last I wanted to get another 10 but couldn't. The southwest rice is edible but not all that great. The creamy chicken rice is tasty if you use a little less water than suggested. The chocolate pudding is quite good. Still testing the rest. So far I would say stock up on canned/dry goods instead. None of this contains any meat at all. If you want meat you won't find it in this type of survival ration. So far I wouldn't recommend it. Everybody's taste are different y'all do know that right? There's more reviews on this food that they like it then those who don't like it, just depends on the person, not only that people need to learn how to doctor up their food a lot of these taste tests they eat it with no salt or anything in it when they don't even do that with their own cooking

    How is there no way of knowing how to reduce the amount
    If it says 4 cups of water , say, and it’s 4 servings. You’d do 3 cups of water and 3/4 of the package for 3 servings..
    Any serving amount could be reached for any product with this pro rata method..

    This is so dumb and seriously when your starving and can get calories in your belly for survival that is all that matters and IM sure your wife and you when starving would rip that bag out of your toddlers hands. So not listening to anything you rate!

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  2 роки тому

      That's fine you're welcome to your opinion. My philosophy behind having supplemental food like this available is that you will crack into it before reaching the point of starvation. Ideally eating it so that you can continue to function as you normally would. Having something that tastes adequate makes it easier to maintain that level of Civility. Before you go trying to run after a squirrel because you have absolutely no food in your stomach. So for me taste is a factor.
