- Enjoy, for the first time ever, a deleted scene from an earlier 1992 cut of Disney's Fantasia 2000 (back when it was known as 'Fantasia II') that features the iconic 'Pomp and Circumstance' song by Edward Elgar.
Most infamous for featuring various Disney Princesses having babies simultaneously, this scene has been lost for decades until now.
Special thanks to discord user SoundGuyMatt for sharing this with us!
Oh man, I love the shadows showing beasts and ariels alternate self's when they start to walk down the aisle.
Me too, that was a charming detail.
I gasped delighted, so creative!
I like those illusions whether they should be human or should be cursed.
RULE BRITANNIA! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I would imagine if it was ever inspired to be reused again all I can see after Beast and Ariel is naveen and Tiana also walking by with their shadows revealing they used to be frogs.
How can I feel so cheated out of something that never happened?
Por qué siento que lo vi a color cuando era niña ?… efecto Mandela ?.
This is the last straw.
I can’t believe we almost got this sequence. I never realized it was fully storyboarded.
To be rejected, it had to be fully storyboarded.
I know! It looks so great.
It seems there were different versions of this sequence due to details we heard but not in here like the villains and even different storyboards shows in the Fantasia Legacy Documentary.
And that's not all, looks like Ariel's not the only princess who becomes a mother. All princesses do! As we can see here, Donald puts a little crown on newborn Melody.
Bambi: 🆒
This would've been Disney's biggest crossover.
I wish someday we get another Fantasia film. Maybe in 2040, for the 100th anniversary, if Disney finally comes back to their senses, we get another experimental production. I just think a Fantasia type of film based on their filmography would be epic (a segment for the princesses, a segment for the villains, a segment for the comic reliefs, a segment for the heroes, a segment for their classic toons, etc.)
And the reason why they didn’t afford it is because back then they didn’t agree to have princesses as long as if they included the heroes of men .
@@fabianugalde3789 Consider that wish granted!😉 Disney WILL come back to their senses and create another experimental production! You know, I've also had that idea of making another Fantasia film once getting to work at Disney as a screenwriter! And I think a segment of the princesses, comic reliefs, classic toons, heroes and villains is a fantastic idea! I'll add that to my idea! And don't you worry, it's gonna be a real blockbuster once it hits theaters!!!
At least until Once Upon a Studio comes along.
@fabianugalde3789 🙄Are you kidding?! Why even bother waiting for another Fantasia film in 2040 when you can get it in either 2025 or 2026?
Mark my words, Disney WILL come back to their senses and create a marvelous third Fantasia film! And I'm going to be the one creating that said movie!!!
A segment of the Disney princesses along with the classic toons, heroes, and villains sounds like a brilliant idea!!! Just you wait and watch! I won't ever disappoint you or anyone else once that film hits theaters!!!
So close to have a Disney princess crossover in 2000!
At least there's the Wreck it Ralph 2 scene now.
@queenofawesome2550 Yeah, but that whole crossover felt like it missed something. It was not like the House of Mouse or the Once Upon a Studio short were I was feeling hyped every moment someone popped up. Anyways, I wish there were more official Disney crossover moments
*Ahem* House of Mouse.
Hmmm it's song from England (United Kingdom).
You said it. That’s includes the day all Disney princesses becomes mother. And for Donald Duck, he’s among luckiest person in 90 years that he gave little baby the crown.
I started tearing up when I realized that it wasn't a coronation, it was a christening.
Me too! 🥹
Something about the music swelling right as the storks appear.... It just hits you like a punch to the gut.
@@caylasudie4475 Oh, I didn't even realize it at the storks part. I was thinking, "Oh, the storks, like in Dumbo, is Dumbo going to appear and start flying with them?" I should have known then!
@lulucalliope713 To be fair, I'd heard about this bit before, so I get the confusion lol.
When did you realize it was a christening? Just curious
@@caylasudie4475Well, Dumbo didn't appear, so it was around 4:38, and I just thought, "Wait a minute...wait a minute..." And then when we saw Cinderella with the baby, I started tearing up.
This is honestly really sweet. The princesses here grew up with either sh*tty stepmothers or no mothers at all. Even Aurora had to be kept away from her parents because of Maleficent. So to see them being able to break that cycle and care for their own kids feels so satisfying.
The donald duck misadventure with the crown feels like it definitely inspired pascal and max's misadventure with the rings in the tangled wedding short.
This is what I immediately thought about when first watching this!
I was thinking the same exact thing!!! This concept is so fun aa
At least the Princesses didn't have to Lip Sync 4 The Crowns.
This should have been the 100 year Disney celebration, instead of Wish imo.
Would of been nice to see them fully animate the in its 2D style
James Horner Isolated Score Pomp and Circumstance
For that Disney would need to celebrate there past instad of hating anything before Tangeled
Did you see Once Upon a Studio? It's a similar concept to this.
Oh snap! For sure! Ughh ... 😞
Imagine if this was fully animated for the 100th anniversary. I feel like it did a better job at celebrating that milestone than the handful of references tossed into Wish.
What about "Once Upon a Studio?"
@@detectivewobbuffet2778 It was fun but this, this is epic!
I agreed
@@detectivewobbuffet2778sorry, for the Walt Disney company's 100th anniversary, even that was weak.
I wish they could do this. But They wouldn't cause it's not gonna Happened... But I still Love Crossovers though...😔
We have tons of gifted editors and animators, someone needs to turn this one into life
And I'll be the one to make that happen once I get to work at Disney! Once I get to work at Disney as a screenwriter, I'm going to make sure that this deleted scene comes to life fully animated in one of Disney's new movies! No, this isn't a joke whatsoever. This is a promise!

@AlamNinyoBaKungNasaanYungAmoKo Truthfully, I've barely even started. I've never been able to work at any Disney as a screenwriter before in my life.
I'm still trying to find an application for a Disney screenwriter, so I've barely even started. But I'll find that application, and I'll start as an intern before reaching my way up to the top.
Whoever thought this was a dumb idea clearing didn't know what they were thinking
It's a dumb idea to have all your characters have babies at the same time tho. It feels super forced.
@@bluesheep7 most, if not all, of the princesses are from different times
So they'd likely never meet regardless
This is just kinda fun and cute
@@bluezebra8675309 I get the hype of "cute ending with babies", but here? It's too much, it feels almost as a requirement for a happy ending to have a kid. It's not a healthy message to send to little kids.
I think they knew exactly what they were thinking.
@@bluesheep7 personally I view it just as a fun, quirky, imaginary crossover, nothing more. It's not like all princesses literally gathered together to have a baby, it feels more like a metaphorical fantasy. So I don't see it as repulsive or offensive.
I love when cut or lost media like this gets discovered and shared.
Strange how a deleted sequence is much better than wish
Even Wish storyboard is so much better than Wish. 😹
Wish could have worked, but they played it too safe.
What about our star prince?
The wish master’s wife should have been a villain too.
Different eras unfortunately
Prince 🤴 Charming: Hi 👋
It had the potential to be so great but new Disney screwed everything up. Could have had Star boy 😭
Honestly, considering how Fantasia 2000 was originally meant to be the capstone on the Disney renaissance and Disney’s last film of the 1900s in general (the film came out in 1999, technically), this makes so much more sense as a celebration of all things Disney as opposed to what we got.
As much as I like the Noah’s Ark section, this definitely would’ve made Fantasia 2000 all the more memorable and special
Multiverse for girlies
1:26 ALSO ALICE MENTIONED LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!!
It will get manlier soon once they realized it.
@@disneyknightspadilla1406 manlier?
I've had been abused, rejected and scarred by those same step parents and evil witches that antagonized these Disney Princess; so seeing content---even if deleted---showing them overcome that abuse; by finding love with a Green Flag, and laying a foundation for a safe and loving home to their future generation is so touching. To see life after all that trauma is nothing but rewarding.
I know exactly how you feel. I’ve been in that same situation too, and I just want to say that I sincerely hope that you’re doing better than you were back then. Just like the Princesses, you deserve to have your own happily ever after 💛
Well, at least Princess Melody made her proper debut in _The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea_ .
you can say that conceptually had her debut here, although in the final product for the direct to video follow up, turned out to be at the same time an optional one to exist due to the fact of being inferior to the first film as a way of cinema
It's a shame that they used her film as a rip-off of the original.
@@OpticalSorcererIt was a rip off, but also some sweet karma for Ariel I WANNA BE ON LAND. 😂
She's not a Disney princess

Ithink they’re talking about her being a Princess’s offspring.
The greatest honor for Donald Duck to give the crowns to Princes and Princesses for royalties 👑 👑👑👑👑👑
And to think the douchebag of King Stephan almost ruined it!!
It makes you wonder where Mickey is. (I know they probably didn’t want him again since he’s already got Sorcerer’s Apprentice, but, you would think he’d attend something on this scale.)
It would have been better if Donald’s girlfriend Daisy Duck was in this. But at least she and Donald got their part with Noah’s ark.
After fighting in WW2 he definitely deserved it! (If I’m getting it right, Disney make cartoons where Donald Duck fought the n*sis in WW2)
After fighting in WW2 he definitely deserved this honor!
Intresting to see that Pomp And Circustance was always going to be about Donald Duck.

@@daffamediathanks for the song list! I've been wondering where I've heard Land of Hope and Glory from. Turns out it was from the first Kingsman movie.
This is the type of weird shit I love from late Eisner-era Disney
That's my favorite Disney era for a good reason, so experimental ❤
Me too! You'd never get something like Fantasia 2000 these days, not to mention considering them having a featurette with the princes and princesses having babies since they avoid showing them even becoming married these days (like with the most recent movies where romance is not focused on).
Still hate what he did to The Black Cauldron, though.
As much as people like to make fun of Eisner, I kinda miss him being in charge seeing the current state of the company
Colossians 3:8
1:57 Ariel’s shadow being her mermaid form is sooooo darn adorable
2:03/2:04 They also did the same thing with Prince Adam's shadow with his Beast form.
This is so lovely! Even Pinocchio, Alice and the Darlings are here! 🥹💖
Even Bambi and his forest friends.
I loved seeing them again, especially considering how little Alice and the Darlings are used in most media these days, though I would have liked it even more if Peter was with them
JIMINY Cricket 🦗: Hey 👋 Wait!
Not to mention all the animal characters. I saw Baloo, Bambi. I need to go back to look for characters from Robin Hood. Surely the Cheshire Cat would be there too.
I never knew this made it to the storyboarding stage. I thought it was shot down as soon as it was suggested. For those of you who don't know, this wedding ceremony was originally what Disney CEO Michael Eisner wanted to feature in the Pomp and Circumstance segment of Fantasia 2000. He really wanted the song to be included because he'd recently attended his son's graduation and wanted to make something to the music that would be just as grand and beautiful. Unfortunately, there were some concerning implications he hadn't taken into account. Sure, the whole wedding ceremony with the Disney princesses was nice. But it was the fact they were getting married together. Plus - although not depicted here - the original plan was to show them pregnant next to their partners. Disney executives were horrified by these suggestions. Not only would it look like the princesses were part of some freaky religious cult ritual, but if they were depicted pregnant, it would bring up the subject of sex. And, considering most of the Disney princesses are actually below the age of 18, it would've been seriously messed up. Judging by these storyboards, they did try to rework things a little, like having storks deliver the babies instead, and including more Disney characters, which would've made for an entertaining crossover. Ultimately, though, to avoid anything controversial, the whole wedding idea was dropped and instead became the segment about Donald trying to help Noah get all of the animals into the Ark.
I really doubt that the pregnant scenario was technically a thing when this presentation was supposedly the one that was presented and got backlashed by the stuff, although the stork figuratively represents that in a sense, at least this concept execution of the couple's children was made beautifully and fascinating that didnt feel necessarilly and fortunately problematic since we must realize that the princesses in their own way have come of age, even specific times have considered the 16 number as an independent life age persay despite inconveniences, especially beyond cultures and basically fairytales
People can really destroy something as average as child birth. I mean with this the characters seem to have been togheter a long time and since then passed 18. I know for the Disney super marketing they don´t want to turn the Princesses into moms. They want them to be girls, not women so that children can relate to them.
This thing needs some editing. No wedding just to show them maybe christening the new children like saying hello to next generation..
@@Ahturos I get your point but the "Disney doesn't want the princesses to be moms" but becomes pointless once you remember Ariel actually had a daughter named Melody
@@Ahturos The problem isn't childbirth, and, as you said, is absolutely natural, and had all of them aged a bit, there would be no issue. The problem goes with the character designs, they look IDENTICAL to the ones we watched in the movies, which leads to the sensation that no time has passed and they are the same age as their movies ended. And THAT is a problem, because all of these girls are underage even by the end of their movies: Belle is seventeen, Aurora, Cinderella and Ariel are sixteen, Jasmine is fifteen and Snowhite is fricking fourteen years old. They are old teenagers at best, young teenagers at worst, in essential, kids. All of them becoming mothers at such a young age sends terrible implications behind it. It would be no issue if they had showed or portrayed them being older when they were adults, not still kids.
Oprah: "You get a baby! And you get a baby! Everyone gets a baby!"
So we were going to get a Disney Princess crossover segment in Fantasia 2000? This certainly looks beautiful.
That's what I was thinking! Pomp and Circumstance still features in it but instead of this scenario, we get Donald helping the animals onto Noah's arc
Donald: Help!
@@shaymaaabusalih9580 It’s called Noah’s Ark.
@@shaymaaabusalih9580 and not only Donald Duck in Noah’s ark but Daisy Duck as well.
To everyone being weirded out by the ending - you know characters can age right? Besides how can you see the frame of Snow White happily holding her baby and not smile? To think of her cherishing the child, promising to be a better mother than her step-mother was to her
waaaaahhh it's so sweet ;;
It's better without a child, in my opinion.
Snow ❄️ White: I Do.
And considering it's storks that deliver the babies it's not even as if it's acknowledging sex and pregnancy.
I know, right?!?! People are so afraid of loving babies in family cartoons nowadays. What’s wrong with imagining such a sweet scene? A lot of these princes and Princess would make wonderful fathers and mothers. They can be a role model to children of what loving spouses/parents look like, should they so desire to become one someday. But nobody seems to want that.
@@PrincessAdLucemOnly if you’ve never experienced a loving, exciting family relationship. Raising children is an adventure, it just means sharing your amazing life with another human being and the romance between the spouses only grows, not diminishes. But too many people want to show the opposite, as if family life is just torture or filled with boredom. What a sad perspective on life. It’s certainly not easy, but when you love your family right and don’t set unrealistic expectations, it’s so worth it’s weight in gold.
They should’ve definitely used that for 100 years of Disney with all the Disney princesses whether it’s a 3-D animation or a drawling masterpiece animation (which that one will take literally years to make it just like the classic, including all the modern princesses)
So surreal to finally see these boards after years of only having heard about the premise to base judgements on. The premise of the entire cast all having babies at once still strikes me as a deeply bizarre one, but the sequence is considerably more charming than those descriptions made it sound over the years. These boards also makes it a lot more clear that this would've been a tribute to _all_ of the Walt Disney Animation Studio's films, not just the Princess ones, which feels a lot more balanced.
I have a feeling there were different versions of the same sequence.
MULAN: I Love You 😘❤️💕
False premises at that.
I mean, the kids come by stork. According to Dumbo, that does happen all at once.
The change in quality/ technique in the boards show that they had been reworking this a few times@@disneyboy3030
Even if not meant to be, this was beyond amazing. And to of seen the early Princesses and loves actually have children, other than Ariel and Descendants franchise.
U can still feel cinderellas prince's silliness with his bow, they rlly liked him huh
Who doesn't? He has one of the cutest personalities.
5:32 this shot is surprisingly imposing and powerful.
At least Ariel has Melody
I think I know why this was scrapped. The Princesses of Disney isn't just about romance. It is about achieving their dream through hard work, kindness, and perseverence. Obviously these lessons completely flew over modern generation's head, saying that Disney Princesses are only about love and family. Which are not exactly a bad thing. However, if they showed this christening, it is as if cementing the message that the ultimate happiness for a woman is motherhood, something not every women agree with. It isn't a bad thing but it is also not a message that many girls can empathize with. And to keep the fantasy going, once a fairy tale is over, it is best to close the chapter with a happily ever after. What that entails? Well, it is up to their fantasies.
I say achieving their dream because not only do they escape from horrible treatment and found someone that cares about their well being, they are also wealthy and have a status that will make it impossible for others to bully. The stories might envisioned this through meeting a Prince but it isn't just that. A Princess is more than just being pampered, it is a career. Basically they have money and status and isn't that just the dream for every woman who wanted out of poverty? The message of Cinderella and Snow White is about hardwork and kindness will one day bring them happiness. And naturally these two qualities are what most people need to achieve a happy life.
This! Also, it takes away everyone's individuality by having them all having kids at the same time.
Imo, it would have been good if it was just Snow White the one who had a baby (I think she's the one who would likely want one), and everyone else was invited to the christening.
The classic princesses were about a message of enduring hardships without complaint and getting rewarded with a guy who would take them away from that. But that wasn’t the culture anymore by the Disney Renaissance. Ariel was rather young and no one seemed to even expect her to be seriously looking for a man ; Belle and Jasmine meanwhile had men coming after them who they didn’t even want, they wanted things unrelated to marriage but found love along the way.
And that’s as far as we were with the princesses when this was made.
Of course they don't think that in this scene the same could be said about the MEN (you know how it is, even princes are becoming fathers!!) But no, they only thought about the female characters. Because they are obsessed with what a woman should or shouldn't do or think.
@Polygraphice Well, that's going to come back to Disney once I get to work there.
I'm going to show everyone that Disney princesses represent enduring hardships and keeping a positive attitude through it all while finding love that will take them away from the hardships.
It's time that that culture comes back to Disney.
I think it’s unfair when i had made long sentences about my theory that Lewis Carroll based himself on fictional Alice somebody thought my long words was a nightmare but when someone makes long comments about Disney princesses they get applauded.
After years waiting, can’t believe we almost got the sequence. it’s supposed to have a appearance of every Disney princesses in one segment. Imagine if this was for 100 anniversary I figured it did better. Absolutely amazing!
We got the Ralph breaks the Internet scene now.
My entire Disney childhood drawn in one video, I'm going to cry! I grew up with Disney and Barbie movies and still watch from time to time
This is so much better than the depiction of the princesses in Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Imagine if this scene didn't get deleted, then this would been a biggest Disney's Crossover in Fantasia 2000
Disney should revisit this
Most definitely!
Bambi: Donald?!
Honestly, this would've been a better ending. I love seeing all the Disney characters come together in a project.
Alice being the flower girl is perfect! 🌸
Now while this is a beautiful concept it was most likely scrapped for a good reason, all of the Disney Princesses in this sequence except for Cinderella are underage. Remember, Ariel said she was 16 in the movie, Aurora turned 16 in her movie, and the ages are confirmed for the following Princesses as well.
Belle: 17
Snow white: 14
Jasmine: 15 in the movie but 18 by the time she was married in King of Thieves. So yeah there's a good reason why this was scrapped.
Wow, it even had Song of the South characters in it. This would have been incredible to see fully animated, I almost want to cry knowing that it almost happened and didn't. I wish they would actually complete it someday.
I love how Ariels baby had a tiny green tail!
Melody didn't have a green mermaid tail until she was 13.
@danielsauers7783 technically this isn't Melody. I think it predates her.
No, when Melody turns to a mermaid she has a red and pink tail.
How are yall so wrong about melodys tail? It’s just orange guys. Good eye on op because I thought I saw a green tail but wasn’t sure since the quality was low.
Deleting this scene was a crime against humanity
A wonderful tribute to Disney animation that should seriously be reconsidered for reproduction.
Thank you for sharing this gem.
It would have been wonderfull see princes and princesses from classical movies become a family
Still think it’s weird how this was supposed to be part of Fantasia 2000, but now with recent years, I think this would’ve been a fitting short for Disney’s 100th anniversary. Ngl as a lifelong Disney fan, I do like “Once Upon a Studio” but a fully animated version of this as a short would’ve been nifty as well.
This is so beautiful! I understand why this was cut but they couldn’t have made them older? This would’ve looked so breathtaking if it was finished! 😭
Agreed. Aren't Snow White and her prince about 14-15? Not to mention, Aurora's 16.
@ It probably was an awkward screening. I think they should’ve make them older like giving the princes beards/ facial hair and giving the princesses more lighter hair and facial wrinkles.
Phillip: I Do.
@@noel_996I mean... back then most women had babies in their 20s and those are newborns. Why would they have wrinkles and white hair lol they're only about 5-10 years too young to have babies, you don't physically age THAT much in 10 years
I don’t know why this was taken out. This looks excellent.
So in this idea of an interconnected world of Disney movies, the royals have a coronation ceremony where they also receive their heirs via stork, and I can see why the higher ups at Disney wouldn’t have wanted this going forward because the images of the Princesses are so marketable when they’re relatable to kids, that’s why in all of Disney history, only Ariel got a sequel movie where she grew up and had a child, out of all the Disney princesses who would’ve made good moms. Also, the fact that in the Descendants movies, we never see the main princesses as moms despite seeing their kids, the only one shown being a mom is Cinderella in the latest movie, but they use the casting of Brandi to make a distinction between Disney Princess Cinderella and the Cinderella Brandi played, also the blue hair setting Brandi apart even from her previous movie, because colorful hair and a single color dictating the whole character design is very much part of Descendants’ branding. In the first Descendants movie, we see characters who were always portrayed as adults (like villains and side characters) as parents, but a lot of the Disney Princesses are absent from the story. Audrey’s grandmother comes to that function where she sees Mal, Aurora and Phillip don’t come to be with Audrey. The only Disney Princess and her Prince that appear in the first couple movies are Belle and Adam/The Beast, because their roles giving Ben the power to make the story happen are so pivotal to the narrative.
artists!! pls make a fan animation of this ! this is what they shouldve done for the 100th anniversary
This feels like the perfect epilogue for these characters.
There is one major element that made it into the final Pomp and Circumstance segment we got in the final film, and that is Donald Duck being the main character and how this whole event goes chaotic for him. They of course replace this ball with the Disney Princesses with the retelling of Noah's Arc, but still, I thought it was interesting that this is only element that made it to the final segment.
1:56 and 2:05 THEIR SHADOWS SHOW THEIR PAST SELFS, seriously almost made me cry, it’s so sweet and such a beautiful detail🥹😭❤️💖
1:55 This shot would've gone so hard
This is like mix between Tangled Ever After & Once Upon A Studio
and maybe a little bit of... 'Descendants'. XD
Rapunzel: I Do.
To all the people who seem so concerned about the Princesses being young teenagers and that projecting something concerning, try drawing the human anatomy. My first impression, even though in just a rough sketch form, is that Snow White's proportions are longer and make her appear older than the design in the film. Even Jasmine has the appearance of a 18 to 24 year old young woman. I'm sure that as they fully developed these designs, they would have been sure to portray the couples as being at least in their early twenties. Thus the whole idea of any age appropriateness would be clearly distinguishable. This was conceptualize more than 25 years ago now, when Marriage and children were still considered normal aspirations.
The 9 Old Men were brought in, and asked if they would animate this. Ward Kimball, in response is alledged to have said of the idea "That's the stupidest f#*@* idea I've ever heard."
Half the group had died by the time Fantasia II had its ground broken on it!
Kimball was a real one. This has its charm and all but I've never been a fan of Disney characters crossing over with each other, and the whole baby thing just gives it a whole other dimension of weird that makes me wanna barf.

The Pomp and Circumstance segment we got is great. But this storyboard almost makes me wish we got this instead.
OOOH, YEAH!!

This would have been a gorgeously animated segment if it had been finished, it’s a fun watch too, but the baby ending is a little too weird… As unfortunate as it is, I can definitely see why they cut this and reworked it into the Noah’s Ark story that we got. Thankful that this was finally found.
I watched this at a D23 - Destination D event in 2012, which was presented by Don Hahn, and I definitely remember the Queen of Hearts trying to steal the crowns from Donald. Whether that was an alternate version, or if this is a chopped copy that has skipped ahead, I don't think this is the same copy that was screened to the audience.
Hold up is there archival footage!?
Looks like this had been reworked a few times. So this is one version and that might have been another
Ariel and Eric's baby has a TAIL! I love that!!!
That would’ve been Melody’s first appearance.
I really wished that this segment came to be in Fantasia 2000.
It just confirms what I've been thinking since I saw "Wish", they should have just done a longer version of "Once upon a studio" where all the charaters interact with each other, or just make Fantasia III
I would have loved it this was what the pomp and circumstance segment was in Fantasia, but in all honesty I would rather have the magnificent segment we got with Donald and daisy instead
Fans need to get together and properly animate this. I don’t care how many years it takes.
After all, Donald deserved a happy ending.
What about The happy ending part in Noah’s Ark, where Donald reunited with Daisy?
I wish this was fully animated! 😢💔
It’s funny how Disney rejected this because they don’t want parents to explain to kids about where babies come from…
But then they green-light Descendants.
and also little mermaid 2 were ariel has a daughter
that was quite ridiculous or even awkward reason because the stork is pretty much a methaphorical way is known for, and besides, case in point, in terms of heartwarming moments, take a look on Dumbo scenario
they also had an attraction at epcot, The Making of Me
But the stork is bringing them. That is the child friendly version. Surely that's not the reason they deleted it.

I never knew this existed, 6 year old me would have loved that. It seems like Disney always wanted to make a crossover sequence, like the “Princess Academy”. Maybe that’s why they came up with the “House of Mouse” right after. Then years later “Wreck it Ralph 2” and “Once Upon a Studio”. This would’ve been the perfect film for Disney’s 100th anniversary and instead of “Moana 2”, “Mufasa” (2024) should’ve been made in the Disney animation studios but done in 2-D. It would have been a perfect film after the 100 years of Disney film that features every Disney character. Perfect! Shoulda woulda coulda Disney.
It’s always the most amazing crossovers that get cut/scrapped. This, The Search For Mickey Mouse, Princess Academy. Only one project made it to air and it was the show, House Of Mouse.
Once upon a studios Is a crossover too
Wow this was absolutely amazing I loved seeing all the many Disney princess with their prince’s and each one receiving a baby from the stork just like in Dumbo shame that this was never fully animated thank you Disney for sharing this wonderful piece of archive footage 👍❤️
1:11 Wait. That's the Door to Darkness from Kingdom Hearts. Did someone at Disney or Square Enix look at this animatic for inspiration?
Say, fellas...
@@StomperYoshi*_DID SOMEBODY MENTION THE DOOR TO DARKNESS?_*
I think they did.🤔
They have 6/7 of the original princesses of heart too! (Of course not including Kairi) Ariel originally was going to be one instead of Alice, but they changed it later on. That’s really interesting the more you think about it. 👀 I wouldn’t be surprised if this was an inspiration! Fantasia was released in 2000, but this was probably made before then. And the first KH game was released on March 28 2002 in Japan. They definitely could have used inspiration from this! 💖
👀👀👀
When I realized they were all having babies, it suddenly made the whole thing much weirder. I would have loved this! And it would have gotten more butts in seats to see Fantasia 2000 on the big screen.
ARE YOU SINGLE
I completely agree. I was really loving it as a celebration of Disney and all it's different movies and characters RIGHT until I realized this was all about babies. There's something VERY off-putting that's hard to put into words. Part of it's how fan-fiction this whole idea feels, but I think the bigger part is that the Disney princesses were always hella young (I'm pretty sure Snow White is only 14). Their whirlwind romances pushes credibility, but the idea of them being mothers...
If this weren't some kind of "royal baptism" event but were more symbolic celebration of the main characters' love, everything would've been perfect, no notes. As it stands... on whole maybe it's best they went with Noah's Ark. 😕
@@Unownshipper For me personally the baby-reveal gives me an icky feeling since it's ALL OF THEM. Every single couple is put into the same box of "marriage and kids", with no exceptions. And all the girls being between the ages of 14-18 does not make it any better...
@TheNamelessDoll you all act like these girl can't ever be aged. Ariel had a kid in a sequel movie. And it's just a fun, cute and grand thing of symbolic continuation of their life and adventures thru their bloodline if you think about it. It also makes perfect sense for royalty to have children.
@@leorobin832 1. That was a direct-to-video movie, not a canon Disney Animated Feature Film. The important distinction being no one from the original creative team was involved with that production except for (a small number of) the voice actors.
2. More importantly, it's indicated that time has passed in that movie. I'm not saying it's overtly apparent, it's just that Ariel *does* look a little older in that movie, which is perfectly good; it gives the impression she and Eric didn't rush into having a child. However, while it's hard to say for sure as these are only pencil sketches, the point is that these characters look fully on-model as they did in their movies. There isn't an indication that they've gotten older based on the information presented here, so excuse the he** out of us for having qualms about these VERY young characters (who've had a pronounced impact on children as heroines, role models, and pop culture figures) having babies.
3. Lastly, of course this is meant as fun, the artists CLEARLY intended this as a celebration of Disney and its characters, and no one's calling them out personally. But that doesn't stop us from noticing the aforementioned age and birthing issues that could arise if this had gone into production. This didn't make it past this stage, so evidently someone else at Disney had qualms as well. It's fine for people to voice these concerns; no one's denouncing Disney or the artists who made this, it's just simple observations.
There needs to be third Fantasia film. So this scene can finally be fully animated.
The weirdness could have been avoided if they just had it as a big celebration ball, then maybe at the end have Snow White and the prince show up looking recognizable but older, maybe closer to what a woman in the 1940's had for popular hair (maybe even Queen of England's? Idk), etc, since Snow's look was based on a singer of the 30's, and have the stork deliver just their baby, since she was the first princess.
Or alternatively, have Mickey as a king throwing a celebration for the other kingdoms and the princess and princes are presented and dance. At least that could avoid the oddity of the full description and have the rest stay as a fun crossover.
Yeeeahhhhh I can see why the surviving Nine Old Men didn't want this to be. Pretty uncomfortable. I DO love what they did with Ariel and Beast's shadows though.
So that’s how Melody was born
This would've been so cute! So many great classic Disney cameos. Reminds me of Mickey's Christmas Carol in that regard. Even the storks are a slight Dumbo/Lambert the Sheepish Lion wink. So sad they decided to throw it out.
Unfortunately, mickey mouse never appeared in fantasia continued workprint.
Dumbo: Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Someone needs to fully animate this
NO
Absolutely!!!
Dumbo 2
this animatic is beautiful 😍 I knew there was a deleted scene that was about the princesses and their princes at a coronation, but I didn't know that the complete scene existed, nor did I expect the princesses' children to appear!!
This seems much better to me than the crossover of "Ralph Breaks the Internet" and "once upon a studio"
While I agree with you on Ralph Breaks the Internet, I disagree with Once Upon a Studio. That was done to honor the 100 years of Disney Animation Studios so it would make sense they would honor everyone and not just the princesses.
Ralph: Come On!
This is amazing and I need it animated
This is the kind of thing Disney should have done for the 100 years anniversary instead of that gray movie Wish... The princesses, the princes, the fairies, Donald, Goofy (and of course, Mickey, Minnie and Daisy).
Wow, I felt so much magic watching this like I did when I first watched these movies as a kid. To think this is what Disney used to be
Dammit how did they make something that sounded horrifically wierd so beautifull, as in morbidly beautifull!!?😭
Dammit weve just hit peak!!😂
This animated segment could have been great to bring the nostalgic Disney animation to Fantasia 2000.
Michael Eisner thought about giving an opening to a large wedding featuring all the Disney princesses with their lovers, each carrying their future children as they say their I do’s.
For the animators, this was absolutely horrifying.
*deep breaths* hmmmm
Because not only would it look like some freaky religious cult ritual, but also if Disney showed the princesses pregnant, then they would be a lot of people that the princess were um, how can I put this? GETTING KNOCKED UP!!!
Female singer: We did more than just kiss!!! It’s clear he didn’t miss!!!
*record scratches*
Roy E. Disney: also, just a reminder, most of the Disney Princesses are below the age of 18!!
*Michael Eisner shocked realization*
You realized that I copied words from another UA-cam video, right?
I'm having a hard time with myself and I don't know what to comment about this UA-cam video.
I need words to write something on the social media platforms.
@@Lolakitten78
Captain America: I understood that reference
@@Lolakitten78Actually before Elsa, Cinderella was the only Disney princess above the age of 18, at just 19.
@@shanandersson1779 fair point & I thought it was Animation Lookback: WDAS+
It's not even fully animated, and this is by far so much better than Wish. I honestly welled up watching this 😭 this was so beautiful.
Honestly, the reason it was scrapped was because it gave the princesses kids, it's a really cool storyboard, if it was just a generic celebration I think it would've been made
they already did it with descendant, why not this one
Points for Disney reworking this segment cause from what I heard prior from seeing this
is that Mr. Eisner really wanted the animators to use the song and he wants them to use THAT IDEA FOR THE VISUALS!!!!!!!
Holy cow Dude
yet it had some beautiful potential in its own right, especially when crafted by the storyboard artists
Goofy 🙃: Here We Go!
What you heard was made up by an obnoxious little man in a silly hat. This is what was ways to have been.
Gotta say the villains not appearing was a sour point, but the chase with Tick-Tock from Peter Pan makes up for it. Donald's bad luck is in full character here (almost seems like King Stefan is bullying the duck here). So nice to see a bunch of rarities together (Michael and John, the Br'ers, Horace & Clarabelle). I kinda get where Ward was coming from though, especially at the end with the babies. Goofy as the conductor reminds me of Elmer Fudd in A Corny Concertino, which you could look to this as Disney's answer.
