- First completed run. Actually could've gotten world record (12:30) with some better luck and play coin management. Just need to wait for my next street pass from one of my other 3ds's for a white shirt mii.

Don’t worry, they probably didn’t grind for playcoins. If your 3DS has homebrew you can get an app that sets your playcoin counter to the max, 300, every time you open it. He probably just used that.

Before I learned the 3DS sensor wasn’t super advanced and you could just shake it to get play coins I would go on full blown hikes just to get play coins to beat this game 💀🙏🏾

So many warriors... I remember only having one warrior, fighting a ghost only to find out the attack did next to no damage, then watching in sadness as my character wandered back home.
Repeat cycle for about a decade or so.

What about a speedrun collecting all of the puzzle pieces in Puzzle Swap, but just the original 8 (I believe, just the ones that you get when you get the game for the 1st time, without hooking your game into Spot Pass and all that jazz)
I feel like this was the precursor to Miitopia.
Oh most definitely this had to of inspired it a bit.
First, it was Find Mii. Then, we got Tomadachi Life. Finally, we got Miitopia.
100% inspired miitopia. I'd be really surprised if it didn't to be honest.
This was the base idea, the popularity of this simple free game raised the idea for a more featured title, miitopia was born, popularity only increased with the switch port, everyone loves the miis.

I think it's dumb but also very cool that, assuming you played as intended, taking months to play and get through stages, throughout the game you were wondering "Wtf? Are white shirts just useless? Why doesn't it do anything?" Then the dark room comes in and you're dumbfounded that the useless ones saved you using an extra 50 playcoins
The dark room gave me PTSD : as i kid i asked a friend to put his mii in white so i could finally finish it !

In the UK, this is called “StreetPass Quest”.
Not just the UK - everywhere outside the US. And not just this game either - all the DLC has the naming convention of StreetPass Blank.
Though, I will say, calling StreetPass Chef "Feed Mii" does help it tie into the world better.
Tbh I think StreetPass Quest sounds a lot cooler

This is more impressive than any Ocarina of Time or Mario 64 Speedrun. Given how random the game is, the the amount of people you would need Streetpass and the amount of walking with you 3DS you needed to do to get all those play coins for wandering heros, you were truly dedicated to this Speedrun and the effort cannot be overlooked. Well done 👍

I hated this game cause I never had any warriors, until I went to home depot with my dad one day and the wifi there loaded me up with street pass miis for some reason, so everytime I went there I'd get a full team
Uhh... you don't get Miis from Wifi, you get them from nearby 3DS systems. Some family of kids with their own consoles must have been there.

I didn't even know you could switch your wandering heroes between cats and dogs.

I remember playing this when i was around 13, never managed to win the game at all, always had less than 4 in a party, but still had a blast playing it.
